I’ve tested these shoulders out, and they appear to do nothing at all. No matter what version of Falling Sword I use with them. No absorb shield, no CC immunity.
Anyone else have any luck with these?
I noticed that the shield is sometimes not visible (white color shield) but it seems to works. I had the feeling once or twice that something pulled me back while using falling sword but it may be due to the shield down due to received damages.
First time I tested, they did absolutely nothing. Now it kicks in about half of the time it should. Note, this is through testing in Westmarch and in pve. If it isn’t working correctly in pve, you know it isn’t working as advertised in pvp either.
I will test it in BG in the following days. Will come back with feedback on this matter.
same tested it in bg or in pve, no shield or immune to cc - tried also other essence of falling sword no proc for shield or immune cc.
The shield is definitely not visible but it seems to work in BG. However the “shield” is weak and melt too fast, meaning that cc hits soon after shield is down.
I use CoL before channeling Falling Sword and I manage to avoid cc during this time.

Seems to have been a ninja fix aside Tempest debug. The shield appears (it is yellow) BUT you need to do damage first with falling sword to activate it.
The shield is refreshed every 2 secondes IF falling sword do damage.
Shame is that the new right hand essence becomes harder to use in BG to pass aoe cc from wizard as you need someone close to take damage first -.-
Luminous Reign seems to be the (only) way to take full benefit at low risks.
However, there seems to be a few inconsistencies with other Falling Sword essences (e.g. Incandescence : shield not activating despite doing damage).
