Crusaders are virtually unplayable in Pvp content thanks to the Spartusk helm for Barbarians. We’re now hard countered by every other class in the game. We also lack lack anti-cc essences that actual work and cant be stripped away from us by barbs.
I think it’s time crusaders get some real useful essence that give us the invincibility that Barb, Necros, Blood Knights and Tempest enjoy.
For example a Chest pieces that says Conj will now make you untargetable but no-longer buffs teammates. Or a sheild charge essences that allows us to escape being cc’d and provides immunity to cc for a short time after using it.
Ill take anything at this point cause this game is becoming unplayable. I understand that every class has a role to play. But right now the best possible thing a crusader can do fot his team is to not que for bgs at all. Is that really acceptable position to be in?

If a barb wears Spartusk, you need CC and it is over.
I suggest (for example) Shield Glare + Redeemer’s Meetle (large blind aoe) to stop them from afar then Falling Sword + Proof from On High to pin them down.
Using also Shield Charge to push them away from idols or Shieldswathe essence to block them.
Proof from On High can also be used to remove them from idol.
As long as they can be CC, there are solutions (but they are not meta).

Sheildswathe is easily interrupted and isn’t a viable option. Proof from on high os multi-stage, you’ll never get the chance to use it effectively.
The problem with saders is our inability to resist cc and now our buffs can be stripped from us.

I agree that shieldswathe is not perfect.
However, phase 1 of Proof from on high is excellent in pvp. Combined with shield glare, it becomes easy to aim and pin.
I rarely use phase 2 which can be evaded by pet skill and a few essences + paragon bonus as it is counted as knockback effect.

I’ve been a sader from the beginning. I can say for sure that the sader class is now the lowest ranking, even below monks.
- no escape mechanism. after cc, no way to get out or do anything.
- bubble can be negated
- damage is meh
- melee class that can’t outrun anything then get caught by cc. then go to #1
- horse - not viable for pvp in a long time
- too many useless and obsolete legendary essences. Eg. shield dash can’t be used with horse dash!
- any sader dash is interruptible. just look at tempest. dash = teleport to enemy.
- whoever implemented untargetables that can still attack should be fired! There is no counter to it. think about it. At least sader bubble can be cc’ed or worse, removed!

I had a build (2 builds actually) focusing on wind or dash horse with immunity to knock-back (chest), falling sword main hand + shoulder immunity to CC, sweep attack that replaces primary attack + helm that stun with spinning shield left hand or shield glare that give a blinding shield + increase aoe helm.
Both are nice to get the back line and CC them, making them fly away but both build are really weak in damages… and impossible to hold idols in BG (usually means loosing the game). Hard to play in Legend.
That build seems to work better in Conqueror for me since its a more even play field
damn right we cant even compete with barbs anymore, with their immune to control buff and the undying rage almost infinite, how can we tank and counter with conjuration of light with such heavy penalty of the long CD, if we choose to increase the duration of CoL we will be sacrificing too much since the only effective essences for pvp is Bale Protector and Yawning Rose. the new essence was hardly even thought of, they think that the old essence for pvp was enough and solely focused on pve skills. its frustrating that all other classes have been strengthened to the extent that we have no viable build to counter. even with exigent echo and Grimcack Buckler, it only takes a single hit of Barbs
hammer to die.

never gonna happen since it covers team mates. unless they make it a user only Buff.
