Compensation - you broke the market

Your recent changes to the market, combined with Server Merges has made it impossible to sell any item anywhere close to your Logarithm’s ‘suggested price’ and in fact, impossible to sell at the maximum discounted price of -75% of suggested price.

Your community ‘warnings’ about bans, etc. about Market Manipulation obviously did not include yourselves, software or ‘rules’ for the sale of applicable goods on the market.

Your changes have Tanked the Market. As far as I can tell, Susan and similar sellers are alive and well spamming world chat despite me reporting everyone I see polluting (a badly polluted) WC. Making a significant profit I imagine now that Purple crests and resulting 5 star sales is the only viable way to make platinum (surely your intent to begin with).

Despite drastic price reductions in any conceivable saleable item - YOU are still Profiteering by you unlawful TAX of15% of any sale I see.

Case in point:

Broodtalon Familiar
Suggested Price 1,250.000
new Suggested Price 740.000
Cant sell at new minimum of 176,000 platinum
3 months, no sale (and no, did n0t try and sell at your ‘suggested price’ ever)

Despite not being able to sell this familiar at 0.08% of what it was once ‘suggested’ to be worth - EIGHT… that’s 8…. you will still take your 15% and laugh at us suckers still listing on the market.
New system of lowest ONLY being available for sales discounts my familiars quality. Number 1, number of legendary traits versus other ‘similar’ familiars at lower prices (which I cannot sell for as it’s below my minimum of -75%). If I have 4 legendary traits, and competitor’s Pet has 1 - surely my pet is worth more - but will not show up / be available until the other 4,6 or 8 pets with same number of Legendary Passive skills are sold. This also discounts my Pet if its passive Legendary skill is more desirable than a competitors - say - SAVIOUR.

As this whole issue is SOLEY of your doing, I would like compensation. You pay me the 1.25 MILLION you said it was worth, and you can have that wonderful Pet. I will even settle for 740,000 platinum - feel free to take your 15% Usery Tax when you do compensate me.

Zarkano - I am with you in putting my Money where my Mouth is. I have not even purchased the last two Battle Passes, let my Boon Lapse when it expired and am taking a serious look at the state of Play in my new Server as well as doing the math to see where the new and additional Resonance available puts my character who is currently sitting at 4,300 resonance. How close can I get to 5k and what the push to six would cost me. Honestly 6k is out of the question currently without a major reversal in course in relation to Game balance (here I am speaking BG, ROE and the current slate of bugs facing Immortals or Shadows and this dumb blessed Reign gimic. The “End Game” keeps me continuing on, but that looks to be in serious Jeopardy with server consolidiation (too easy for a coalition of 3-4 clans to recruit 20 plus whales and dominate / dictate the State of Play (as has already happened on so many servers). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Buy low, sell high.

Only use the 2100 free platinum each week to buy either a bound or unbound legendary crest, and stockpile the extra 500.

Never buy any legendary gem over 35k.

I’m not sure if you are trolling or you are just really that inattentative but familiars don’t have this “lowest first” mechanic simply because of their stats they pretty much always differ (unless you dupe them) which makes your whole post false. Pet market tanked simply because they lost their value as whales already have what they wanted.

The problem is actually about 30% of players who use the market.

They perpetually undercut. Then someone turns it upside down when the item has gone and ramps the price way up so nobody can go back until it settles down, which might be as much as a week.

It’s like watching people shoot themselves in the foot.

Whatever value used to be there has nearly gone. It is a buyer’s market now. Look at the new gold runes. Massively overpriced for what they are but whales with nothing better to do with their money will spend 25,000 platinum for a single rune and one rune was nearly as much as two 5-star gems. That should scream as being wrong to anyone who knows what normality is.

They have not stopped people selling to their alts. They really should have left it how it was. It was far from perfect, but it worked.

EDIT - The rich get richer and poor get poorer mentality is encapsulated in this change. They certainly disadvantaged lower spenders and F2P. Big spenders will not care, they’ll keep spending, but the rest have to work three times harder to get ahead.

your absolutely right - familiars should not be involved in the discussion about ‘lowest price first’ but you not correct about the reasons - they tanked along with whole market - that ‘reason’ is Blizz/Netease.

Agreed! SOOO many people are impatient and just undercut the first listing they see, even if it 1 secondary gem that’s listed.

It’s still not correct, the market tanked because now you can’t abuse it to transfer money - be it for susan or your own plat farmer alts. No one is forcing you to undercut when you list an item, if players really wanted higher prices they wouldn’t do that. I can guarantee you that no one bought gems other than the ones with the lowest price who weren’t buying or transferring plat but the latter group kept the prices at a higher level.

Oh and btw the same system is implemented in WoW for quite a long time now and interestingly it works well.

i do this as well. & it just persists
