Hi, I have been levelling my character (Griddle on Azmodan) and there is a new Seasonal Prodigy’s Path, for every 5 levels of upgrade there are ‘prizes’. This morning I levelled up to 60(452) and achieved the next Level 5/5. The prize was a ‘Mystery Legendary Chest’. The notes indicated that the equipment would be based on the character level. I was anticipating earning the ‘Isolated Storm’ item/essence as it is the only new item at that level. I got an old essence. Is that the correct way the equipment item is determined. I would have thought I should have obtained an item that wasn’t available at a lower level. Can anyone assist in my understanding of this.
its a random rng selection, means it can be any possible piece that is available at your current level
The gear wasn’t any better than what I was wearing, ie no green arrows to my recollection. I ended up just doing an essence transfer. Definitely not what I was expecting as the reward.
When you indicate my level you mean 60(452) with out raid level constrains? I am currently Inferno I and I was expecting to get an Inferno II level item. that’s all. Can you please check my history logs and confirm that that is what I got, i.e. the correct level item. If it was then why no upgrade?
Sorry I realise now that you are another player. How can I get a Blizzard support person to look into this?
yup thats RNG you can get something good or trash its all up to luck. The only garunteed good drops are from doing Gauntlet and using 10 terror essances in a week.
There is nothing to ‘look into’ you got a crappy drop better luck next time. The CR on the piece has a rising ‘base cap’ that goes up 1 per paragon level. It can be anything from that to like 30 cr below. being 452 you’ve hit the cr cap wall that most of us have.
