Blizzard - NetEase - Gold Earning and Rewards for All Players Need to Improve BIG TIME!

First time playing MMO? Constant gear replacement is basically life blood for modern MMO game and Diablo Immortal is MMO.

As for the rewarding part, i think it is pretty rewarding as you can quickly farm the better gear to replace your old gear.

Yeah, I’m so capped that, one week after hitting paragon 1200, I’ve already had enough upgrades that I could be playing in Inferno 6, i.e. the content intended for paragon 1300+

The only thing I don’t have enough CR for right now are the 2nd-5th Inferno 6 Helliquary bosses and Gauntlet 6, all of which are intended for paragon 1300+

This is the intended loop for MMOs, i.e. you bash up monsters so that gear drops out, so that you get better gear, so that you can bash up harder monsters, repeat.

This is precisely why Immortal has difficulty levels, i.e. you need sufficient gear from a current difficulty to move up to the next difficulty. This happens at 100 paragon intervals and, thus, around 10 weeks each. This is how they ensure the longevity of the game, i.e. so that you’ve never “finished” your gear and have no reason to play.

Well, my friend, considering you work for Blizzard / NetEase it’s pretty obvious you are maxed out on everything, because in reality it will take any player paid or free 5 to 10 years or more and do daily grinding, have no life simply to reach the level and items you have in the game, unless a player spends a ridiculous amount of money, which is awful! - I get Blizzard / NetEase needs player retention but they are going about it the wrong way!

For my 5 characters in my account, I have purchased Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass for Season 23, which is suppose to be account wide for all my characters, except when I did a class change to try Wizard, I had to purchase a new portal cosmetic because none were available, which it should be along with the new season cosmetic since it is for “All Characters” in the account! But no! Players get total BS instead! Seasonal Prodigy ridiculously over priced per account when I thought it would be account wide, since again there is NO clear description saying otherwise! Nothing new about this shady and misleading business practice in Diablo Immortal with many in-game purchases and game mechanics, and BS unnecessary restrictions!

As for Transmogs in Diablo Immortal, it is the worst in any Diablo / Blizzard game ever! Transmog in Diablo Immortal is the worst and Blizzard / NetEase don’t even update their own cosmetics shop but have no problem charging players for Battle Pass services that feature outdated old rewards from previous seasons! JUST AWFUL AND MESSED UP!

**

The worst part about these misleading business practices in Diablo Immortal is that young players, (Kids), that don’t know better are getting duped by Blizzard / NetEase with these unclear in game items that lack any clear descriptions, and that in itself is beyond shameful and wrong! Blizzard / NetEase need to correct this erroneous and misleading business practice relating to Diablo Immortal, very soon!

**

I purchased cosmetics for all 6 characters including my new Wizard character that I changed into from Demon Hunter, despite the fact that there are 7 classes in this game, Blizzard / NetEase only gives players 5 character creation slots!? Why!? There should be 7 character creation slots for the 7 classes, as with all Diablo games! But not Diablo Immortal for whatever BS reason! There is no good reason for this! NONE!

As of this writing, my current classes are: Necromancer Paragon 1133 - Barbarian Paragon 672 - Demon Hunter / Wizard Paragon 582 - Blood Knight Paragon 542 - and Crusader Paragon 526 - all in good Clans too and well geared! And like I said before, in my experience and many players are saying the same thing, gold and mats earning and rewards are NOT good in Diablo Immortal, despite any daily grinding in the game! That is definitely not enough, and it needs to improve across the board big time! Not to mention, the wacky and ridiculous XP mechanics as you level. Who comes up with such awful and unnecessary game mechanics in this game!?

And don’t get me started on the awful, purposely complex Familiar companions and how they need to be upgraded, along with the unnecessary penalty of converting only to get a downgrade version after destroying 3 max level Familiars you would think you will get an actual upgrade! But of course you will need a conversion stone to prevent losing stats and still no guarantee of an actual upgrade! AWFUL! -

It’s another added complex feature in Diablo Immortal, (Familiar Companions), which is a total scam that is screwing players out of time and money!

Another Example of why Diablo Immortal needs a Serious Revamp overall, along with fixes and improvements that provide clear, and HONEST descriptions, and information for everything in the game unlike it is now: For example: There was a player that spent over 100K to max out everything in game in Diablo Immortal but wasn’t even able to join his friends and find any matches in the game because he was too OP!? That is just awful! It clearly shows how messed up things are in this game, and with so many unnecessary restrictions despite spending money on Diablo Immortal, these issues and problems only ruin game play for all players, paid and free, and everyone knows it!

Despite many of Diablo Immortals problems, bugs and issues, and misleading business practices with a huge lack of descriptions in many in game items, and game mechanics, there are many players like myself that still enjoy playing the game, but have to be very careful not to get scammed, and that is the unfortunate part of all this!

I enjoy and continue playing Diablo Immortal because of my friends in the game, and I genuinely enjoy playing Diablo Immortal, minus all of the bugs, issues and problems as with any player. From the random game crashes, which still continue for most players and myself to this day on PC and Mobile, to the lack of balance in gold and mats earning and rewards, Diablo Immortal needs to be re-vamped, fixed and improved big time for all players who support the game.

I truly believe Blizzard / NetEase can do much better with Diablo Immortal, and I hope they actually improve it and make account wide sharing the standard and expand the character creation slot to seven for all 7 classes in the game!

But most importantly, Blizzard / NetEase need to STOP being so lazy, greedy and misleading towards all players that support and play Diablo Immortal! Because eventually, there will be a point where enough is enough! - JJ -

Considering you’re wrong.

Compare and contrast…

My hero…

One of the heroes on the Challenge Rift leaderboards…

You’ll notice the maxed out BK has 9400 resonance compared to my 1740, and all eight of their legendary slots are awakened (which is why they’re purple) and mine are not (which is why they’re orange). So, how am I “maxed out” when I’m almost 8000 resonance behind someone that actually has close to maxed out gear?

I started playing Immortal on the day the servers went live, i.e. June 2nd, 2022, and haven’t spent a single penny on it. I am 100% free-to-play. I have 1740 resonance, consisting of 4 rank 10 1-star gems, 3 rank 10 2-star gems and 1 rank 8 2-star gem. I don’t have any gear slots awakened.

Again, I got my combat rating and resonance with zero money spent.

Well, I’m sorry if I find your statements about 100% free to play and not spending one single penny on Diablo Immortal a bit hard to believe, and considering I spent hundreds and not even half way to your level in gear and been playing for almost 2 years now… lol - That says a lot! I guess I’m getting ripped off more than I realize! And to be fully geared to the max, well mostly! Wow! It must be a miracle then! Somehow you got there with no trouble at all, and you don’t work for Blizzard or NetEase at all, yet you are on this forum defending Diablo Immortal’s issues and problems with the game, every day.

I also noticed you didn’t mention anything about my other valid points relating to Diablo Immortal. It is expected.

But I will say you are very helpful to many players on this forum that need help and guidance in the game, which is awesome of you to do for a non-Blizzard - NetEase employee, and I give you that, Meteorblade. Your helpful efforts to players are definitely appreciated, and although we have our differences I do mean that sincerely, my friend.

As for being maxed out, clearly you are maxed on your main gear, and that’s great! But my point about everything I wrote is not all about you and your gear, it is mostly the issues, problems, bugs and misleading business practices by Blizzard / NetEase, and young players are getting duped on Diablo Immortal because of the lack of clear descriptions on in game items and game mechanics. That is a real problem right there on its own.

Like I said, Blizzard / NetEase need to do the right thing for all players who pay and support the game, Diablo Immortal.

Considering everything I wrote about the lack of descriptions on items like the so called Dawning Echo that has pretty much NO info at all as to how it works. This is only one of many issues and problems the game has, and it simply needs to be fixed and addressed.

Like I said, I enjoy the game because of my friends and the overall game play is fun, and can be rewarding at times, minus the bugs, issues and problems in the game. My only hope with these posts is that Blizzard / NetEase read them and do something about it and finally fix, improve and make Diablo Immortal better for all players who support and play the game, especially expanding character slots to 7 instead of 5, allowing account wide sharing between characters like all Diablo games, improving Transmog and adding more for players to choose from, updating the cosmetics shop and archive shop, and offering more unique and better gold and material rewards for players every new season, and having a revamp that makes the Familiar companion a lot more rewarding, beneficial and fun to have, not the awful complexity it is now, and the constant random game crashes in the middle of dungeons or boss battles is awful!

So yeah, I hope these things get fixed and improved, big time with Diablo Immortal! I don’t mind spending money, I simply don’t like getting mislead and screwed over as any player wouldn’t like it either, and I definitely feel for players who have.

Either way, I am certainly not here to argue any further on this. I stand by what I wrote, however, I appreciate your response. Cheers! - JJ -

Because you can’t buy crafting mat with real money. Maxing your gear required grinding, a lot of grinding.

How can you being so clueless after playing the game for 2 years?

Maybe you can actually get half way to his gear rank if you actually playing the game than actually posting wall of text here over and over.

Whether you believe it or not does not alter the fact that it’s true.
I have not spent any money, at all, on Diablo Immortal.

No, the reason I had lots of INF5 gear ready to wear as soon as I hit 1200 paragon was because I’d been pre-farming INF5 open-world and dungeons for weeks.

I got there by playing the game a lot.

Correct. I do not, have not, and do not intend to, work for Blizzard or NetEase.

You really should look back through my actual post history rather than just basing this on the fact that I didn’t agree with you on your take about time-limited rewards not being rewards. You’d find lots of posts from me criticising stuff and as for Bug Reports? Oh, my, I’d get frequent flyer airmiles for those.

I posted this back in September 2023…

…precisely because of how hard it was for players to catch up on Helliquary levels, Tableau levels and Legendary gear ranks. Since that thread, Blizzard have implemented catch-up mechanics for the Helliquary and Tableau, but still nothing for the gear ranks.

It’s one of the biggest remaining time-barriered differences between players’ gear. For example, if a player’s hero has Rank 15 legendaries, they offer (if I remember rightly) about 70 CR per gear item. At Rank 30 it’s 220 CR. That’s a difference of 150 CR and for 8 gear items, that’s a total of 1200 CR difference. That’s locked behind literally months of grinding for materials, due to there being zero catch-up mechanics.

My rewards seem to be working just fine…

Done with 1740 Resonance, 33774 Combat Rating and zero money spent.

Update…

That means I’ve gained almost 300 Flowing Shards in 11 days.
This equates to obtaining 26-27 legendaries / set items per day.

Thanks for the feedback and noted. I am currently Paragon Level 1206 and I have been playing and grinding “a lot” and still it’s a ridiculous grind, even spending money on this game I realize now it’s not worth spending ANY money on Diablo Immortal, at least not until the game gets fixed and finally gets improved! As of this writing, Diablo Immortal, although playable, is a broken mess with a laundry list of issues in many ways, and that is NOT acceptable when Blizzard / NetEase charge money for in game items and services, and yet they can’t take the time to even fix these bugs and issues with the game for all their players / customers!! It’s unreal, wrong and very disappointing!

Blizzard / NetEase need to seriously fix and improve Diablo Immortal. Unfortunately, even with this new update these issues remain! It’s inconsiderate to all players who support this game. The many bugs and problems the game has is beyond the norm. Not to mention the lack of clear information and descriptions about in-game items, outdated Battle Pass rewards from previous seasons, outdated archive shop, no new cosmetics, no real transmog or account sharing, lack of character creation slots, confusing and beyond complicated and punishing familiar companion leveling (just awful), and even more disrupting are the constant random crashes during game play in Diablo Immortal! I mean, what gives!?

And worst of all, in the middle of battle my characters sometimes loses all core attack abilities when doing bounty runs in the middle of game play in Southern Dreadlands, which just happened again today, over 20 minutes ago. This mostly happens in Sourthern Dreadlands and other players have experienced the same issue! This bug issue continues to happen randomly, along with the game randomly crashing as well! None of this makes sense as to why Blizzard / NetEase have left these bug issues unresolved and broken!???

How the hell can a character lose all core attack abilities during game play?! I never seen this happen in any game. I posted about this bug issue months ago in the bug report section, which I will be doing again, and still no fix on any of these issues! It’s very messed up and neglectful of Blizzard / NetEase to leave this bugs, issues and problems unresolved in the game, especially while they charge for in-game items and services for Diablo Immortal!

Now There Seems To Be A Bug Effecting All Diablo Immortal Clans - where it shows no rank or reward at all for All Clans On Deck even after reaching the Diamond Tier! It’s as if the game system reset this a day prior to all players collecting their rewards, which is really messed up! Aside from the fact that their so called temporary “frame” non-reward should not be shown or listed as a reward, because it’s clearly temporary and NOT permanent, which again is misleading and makes no sense as to why this is being listed as part of the Diamond reward! It should be called a temporary buff for 2 weeks because it’s definitely NOT a reward!

Either way, the new Bug issue is with All Clans On Deck with Clans that completed the tasks and reached Diamond Tier reward are now showing as no reward at all! This seems clearly bugged. My 5 characters are in 3 different popular Clans and all completed the tasks and had Diamond Tier reward showing, which I participated in and saw the pending rewards for the Diamond Tier. But today, after 3AM when the game reset, the Diamond Tier reward is no longer showing. It only shows the “Bronze Tier” greyed out, and even after killing Elites it still shows zero on the elite monsters killed.

How can Blizzard / NetEase screw this up so bad! What the hell is going on with the Devs and Management for this game!? Why do they continue to ignore these constant bug problems and issues in Diablo Immortal!?

This is such a big disappointment! Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard / NetEase Team can do better! I don’t understand this awful and inconsiderate neglect, and allowing for these bugs and problems in the game to continue instead of taking the time to fix and address them, especially after the latest game update! One would think Blizzard / NetEase would fix and address a lot of these bugs and issues in the game with this new update, but not even close, and that is just awful!

This is unacceptable for a company like Blizzard / NetEase. I hope Blizzard / NetEase read this and finally do something to actually fix, improve and address these issues and problems in the game, in Diablo Immortal, sooner than later! This is just wrong!

As I mentioned before, I appreciate your feedback. However, I stand by everything I wrote, nonetheless. - Blizzard / NetEase know they need to fix and improve this game big time, and I would love to see Diablo Immortal finally get fixed, improved and be better overall for all players, and I am not the only one saying this about Diablo Immortal. So let’s hope Blizzard / NetEase do the right thing and finally fix and improve the game for all Diablo Immortal Players who play and support the game, soon! - JJ -

Since the latest patch the game now tracks stuff like this for Trophy awards.
The patch was applied last Wednesday, it’s now Tuesday, so in a week…

From now on, just say Netease. I’ve never played a game that is so slow in progressing your character in “grinding” (caps), weak rewards, fraud, and bugs.
Playing games since 1985 and this is my first and last Chinese game ever.

You know that grinding cap is actually exist in most modern MMO? Even FF14 has weekly cap on your gear progression.

Is this is your first modern MMO game?

I’m putting this into the realm of Diablo which co-created grinding. This is not. One more thing, if this is modern standards, I want nothing to do with this fake progression.

Like it or not, Diablo Immortal is MMO and it shares a lot of similarities with other modern MMO.

Replying to Astal: 4-12-2024

I feel your frustration, my friend. But to be fair, Diablo Immortal is free to play, so you don’t have to play it if you don’t want.

I enjoy the game because it is similar to D3, and there are some things I actually like about the game, but as I said many times before, I still hope the game improves, gets fixed, and for Blizzard / NetEase to be more transparent about their in-game items.

Diablo Immortal is fun to play, but the character progress, gear leveling, gold earning is awfully slow and way too grindy for sure. My main character is Paragon level 1223, and my other characters are all past level 700 Paragon. It is definitely a grind, for hard core to casual players. Blizzard / NetEase should improve on this big time.

I don’t mind supporting any game I enjoy, as long as I am not getting scammed or mislead, and I have experienced several disappointing issues with Diablo Immortal, but overall I still enjoy playing the game, aside from the fact that I’m in some good Clans between all 5 of my characters, and the player community in Diablo Immortal is awesome and helpful too.

Although I play casually, one of the things I find really messed up and unnecessary about Diablo Immortal is that there is NO Account-Wide sharing between characters in your own account, which only shows clear and senseless greed by Blizzard / NetEase towards players who play and support this game. Every other MMO and other Diablo games have account wide sharing, including cosmetics, except Diablo Immortal, and that is a huge disappointment!

The other issue is the random crashes and bugs in the game, and the fact that Diablo Immortal has only 5 character creation slots knowing there are 7 classes is just bad and very disappointing. Instead of having at least 7 character creation slots to match how many classes the game has, Blizzard / NetEase limited the creation slots for no good reason, other than stupid greed, since there is no account wide sharing. But you do have the option to switch classes but the new class you choose will not have any cosmetics you paid for, which is wrong to do to players who pay for in-game items instead of transferring the cosmetic items to the new class the player changed to. It’s ridiculous and wrong!

The lack of any good Transmog sets and new cosmetics shows how lazy the Diablo Immortal team is! This needs to improve along with the confusing and ridiculous Familiar companions in the game.

Nevertheless, there is only one new cosmetic offered to players for every new season Battle Pass, which is not much but better than nothing. The new cosmetic for Season 25 Battle Pass, which I purchased, is actually very good and looks awesome in Season 25 on all my characters, and even the character frame looks great. But the Battle Pass rewards, Archive Shop and Cosmetic shop still have old items from previous seasons and nothing new, which is again, very disappointing.

Also, I did notice the new Trophy Points added to Diablo Immortal and this is pretty cool to give to players. I haven’t tried the new Terror Essence yet, but I will tonight. It seems interesting and it’s always good to add new fun things and events to the game. So thanks for the good effort, Blizzard / NetEase, it is appreciated. So please keep improving and fix Diablo Immortal, and make it more fun, rewarding and less complicated and overly grindy.

Suggestions to the Diablo Immortal Team: Expand on the Diablo Story line with Cain as I noticed in this latest update. This is a good first step. I encourage you, Blizzard / NetEase Team, to stay on this path and expand on the main story, so that the game doesn’t become repetitive, stale and boring. Keep it fresh, and continue adding interesting events and challenges for all players, but definitely keep expanding on the main story in the game. This is something I would strongly recommend, considering I been a long time Blizzard player / customer for over 18 years, and have experienced many Blizzard games during that time. Lastly, please consider making Diablo Immortal an account-wide sharing game between characters vs how it is now, which is not good or fun. That’s all for now.

With that said, I hope everyone has a great weekend and happy gaming all! Cheers! - JJ -

This, right here, is why you’re struggling. You are splitting your time between a main and multiple alts. Diablo Immortal has a feature none of the other Diablo games do, i.e. you can change the class of your hero once every 24 hours. Instead of separately levelling up a Barb, a Crusader, a DH, etc, level up just one hero and class change it to another class when you fancy a change. This way you retain access to all your gear / gems / resonance / combat rating / gold / hilts and so on regardless of which class you’re on.

You’re playing a main and multiple alts which means your gold earnings are being split between them, rather than all going to one hero. There’s little point having alts to play other classes when your hero can class change once every 24 hours. By playing a single hero, class changing when you want to, means they’d have more gold to spend on ranking up gear, regardless of which class they currently were.

Mystery solved.

This whole post is getting lost in the topic. The point is, all this gold you have is for what. Upgrading? Capped. Next upgrade? Taken away because of new difficulty. This is why you have 20 plus million in gold you can’t spend. Gamble? Yea right. You know it will be trash. Mysterious legendary items now. Come 70 days, bye bye. Same with sets. There’s old games still being played and paid for today that allow to grind for power. This is why this game is showing the rewards you get, therefore, this will die quick. Nice daily and first kill reward by the way.
