So you really can’t do an hour a day on average? That doesn’t mean you even have to play daily, just average that amount.
If you consider playing for under seven hours in four weeks to be too much then you absolutely should save your money and not buy the empowered battle pass.
However, you’re not going to get many people agreeing that an average of under 15 minutes played per day is a grind.
What is your definition of grind? Is 30 minutes per day a grind for you?
To me, getting to 2400 BP twice in the same week is a grind. Getting to Lv40 (or Lv15 for cosmetics) within one month is not a grind.
I can see why and how it can be a grind, not every actvity yields the same amount of bp/hour and you can certainly do stuff in your daily 30-40 minutes game time that don’t reward too much/any bp (eg. bg, challange rifts, terror rifts, many events, hidden lairs, etc…).
And it doesn’t happen often or every month.
It would be nice if one or few more items were added to the Archive Shop, because currently there is nothing useful I can really spend my points on
Cosmetic weapons are available at Rank 1.
Cosmetic armour is available at Rank 15.
Day 4 of the season…
Buy Fervant Fang.
That is a half-truth. First, cosmetics Armor used to be only available at rank 40 of BattlePass until about 3 months/seasons ago. And for all other characters and classes, to unlock their cosmetics after the first character this still only happens after level 40 of BattlePass and demanding enough Archive coins to unlock them.
Like I said in a previous post, if I switch classes to another character the BP cosmetics are locked for it. For example, my primary character is a male Barbarian but I recently switched class to a female Blood Knight, and all BP cosmetics are locked to her, which I think is very stupid. Diablo IV is so much better regarding unlocking cosmetics for BattlePass (cosmetic items are either unlocked per class or for all classes at once, regardless of how many characters I create and delete) and should be taken as an example.
You make it sound like unlocking the cosmetics from the BattlePass is a fair system but it is still far from that. Their loss, this month’s BP cosmetics suck once again so I will hold my money.
You know making battle pass longer will not change that. Why even brought that up? It is irrelevant to your original thread purpose.
Unlocking your battle pass at Lv15 or Lv40 within 1 month is extremely fair though.
And as it has been shown multiple times in this thread, it really takes very little effort to level the Pass to 40. One month is way more than enough.
That’s a lot of words, none of which were conveyed in the opening post. Your original claim was that one month is too short to complete the battle pass and your main concern was to obtain the cosmetics. Now that it’s been demonstrated that you could obtain the cosmetics with under 7 hours play, and complete the battle pass with under 27 hours play (an average of under 15 minutes per day and under 1 hour per day respectively) you’ve shifted to this being about alts obtaining cosmetics, cosmetics being tied to the hero class you obtained them on, and so on. Had your opening post been about those issues, which I wholeheartedly agree are issues, I suspect you would have found a lot more sympathy in response than claiming one month isn’t long enough to do something that could be done in under 7 hours.
“Extremely fair”, you could not be more wrong.
I get it folks: You are too comfortable spending monthly for Empowered BattlePass, you grind Diablo Immmortal as naturally as breathing, and everything is fine and easy to get.
You can try to mitigate this issue as much as you want, but all you do at best is to show more efficient strategies to grind through BattlPass so it is “easy”, except it is an issue itself and shows completing BattlePasses should never require any “strategy” and this should never be normalized.
I realize at this point you are just ignoring my posts (“That’s a lot of words”) and instead insisting there is no issue here, that BattlePass system is totally functional and there is nothing wrong and disturbing in elaborating strategies and metrics to complete a BattlePass, getting too close to gaslighting (“If I can do it, everybody else can, and who disagrees is Wrong”).
You are just too deep into Diablo Immortal to realize what is wrong with it.
Errrrm nope. I don’t always buy the Empowered BP yet I always ended up with Lv70~80 BP at the end of the month.
If anything, perhaps you should stop wasting time writing justification posts here on why you were struggling to unlock BP cosmetics and when you can use the time to level up your BP in the game now. Post less, play more.
All I’m seeing here is you trying to excuse your unwillingness to put in a minimal effort. An hour of normal gameplay a day is not a grind. There’s no need for any “efficient strategies”, just play the game normally.
This past weekend I had little more spare time, averaged maybe 3h a day and managed to get the Pass to level 20, just little under 21. The only reason I didn’t go further was because I capped the weekly BP points.
There is a misconception here: I am providing feedback to Blizzard to hopefuly the responsible parties revise their approach to BattlePass and streamline its progression, unlockables and slow the pace of new BattlePasses.
No one is going to change my mind and if you are happy with the current system of BattlePass, stop wastime your time here. I see users getting upset they are failing to convert me to their mindset; just move on instead.
I think you should read more carefully what others write and stop telling them what to play; for example, I will not bother unlocking the whole BP this month because I dislike the skin and its progression for other characters is convoluted.
Perhaps Blizzard should lower the duration of BattlePass to 2 weeks then since you are so comfortable with its duration.
I suggest you to stop wasting your time with this topic and go back to Diablo Immortal, I am not forcing you to be here, much less to respond.
You see very little. Ignore this topic and click on the option of “muted” below last post to not be notified anymore.
No, I don’t think I will.
You’ve been describing a problem that does not exist. If you can’t get to BP level 40 in a month you are doing something wrong. Stop moaning and start playing.
What also I agree is that all cosmetics once unlocked should be available to all classes. One of the several reasons I’m never doing a class change is because most cosmetics I’ve unlocked (which isn’t many) are tied to necro which I’m playing. But this issue is completely separate and has nothing to do with how long a Battle Pass lasts.
I think the most baffling part of the naysayers is their refusal to extend the length of BattlePass, almost like for them 1 month is way too long and should be severely shortened or as if I had asked for 1 year of BattlePass… 2 months is good enough for everybody, even for the hardcore grinders, yet some people just do not want to be benefitted.
Like I said… you still do not get my issue is not not being to get to BP level 40, it is that the effort is not worth it, but take it however you like. Ablablaabvlla, etc.
Nah, 4 weeks is fine. Absolutely have no problem with it.
