So I’ve been looking at the new essences for druid since update, and I’m sure people have experimented some… any of them worthwhile? Most of the leaderboard entries are either werebear/thorns/rabid, or a surge build both using the old essences. Are any of these new essences worth grinding for?
Any new builds, yet? Or too soon to tell?

The Inferno 6 main hand and offhand essences have helped my farming builds.
I believe the Inferno 8 Raven Swarm essences for main hand and shoulders might both be useful in PvP.
Across the 12 essences, 6 are for Werewolf. If you play transformation builds in PvP, these should provide a decent boost.
Hmm, thanks. The thorns offhand looked good, but I haven’t seen much difference on the target dummies. It seemed to help werebear/thorns aura more than for summon build.
The new oak sage pants also looked intriguing, but because you have a 2.5-5.0sec gap between effect duration and recasts (if your using the smolderseed essence), you can’t maintain the buff.
I am seeing the lunar staff with surge build(s) do they’re has been some shift. I guess i just needed to wait and check leaderboard. Thanks for your response.
It’s crap for PvP, but I’m enjoying Wolf with the Raven essences (atacck/blind and bonus primal power), with the new lunge and rend essences in i8, and thorns aura (I went fire werewolf for smolder seeds).
Coupled with stacked heal-while-oak-sage legendary affixes, it’s a, well, beast in PvE. With that much healing, the only danger you find yourself is is if all cooldown are down at once, or you don’t aim dash appropriately you’ll fly all over the place.
With all the additional primal power but WW drainig it more slowly, I don’t miss wolves or the speed boost; it’s easy enough to run around in WW and dash everywhere. This combo also replenishes primal power very easily so I’m rarely running low.

So, are you using the lifeleech pants? or just relying on the sage for lifegain? I was picturing the build in my head, and only saw where the pants weren’t listed. Still using crit on rend, or the new leech ones?
Edit: I tried that out, between Cackling and Savage; with 4 pc vithu and 4 pc gloom and 3/4 sage. That seemed to work rather well when I was using cackling. I could solo most challenge dungeons with relative ease. While using savagery made me rather squishy. Maybe i need to practice the build further? Maybe using 2 pc vithu, 2 pc banquet and 4 pc gloom will work better.
