AFK/Lazy Farming Unfair to Legal Players

Why do you continually allow AFK/Lazy farming to occur everywhere and every day in the game? This is a clear violation of your EULA.

"Cheating: Create, use, offer, promote, advertise, make available and/or distribute the following or assist therein:

  1. cheats; i.e. methods not expressly authorized by Blizzard (whether accomplished using hardware, software, a combination thereof, or otherwise), influencing and/or facilitating gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;
  2. bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, or any other feature of the Platform, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game;
  3. hacks; i.e. accessing or modifying the software of the Platform in any manner not expressly authorized by Blizzard; and/or
  4. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that can be used in connection with the Platform and/or any component or feature thereof which changes and/or facilitates the gameplay or other functionality;"

Your EULA clearly states “…advantage over other players not using such methods”. Players creating parties where all or perhaps all but one player is standing still, with their pets set to Aggressive, and continually attacking (clearly using a controller, software, or other device) to hold down the attack button; are collecting experience, items, and gems while not playing the game.
This is being done throughout the game and has been reported on by many people for over a year. I know many people have stated that they continually report these players, yet they are not banned.
They are clearly violating your Eula Cheating section number 2, which states:
“bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, or any other feature of the Platform, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game;”.

Why do you continue to look the other way on this matter?
If players are not actively playing the game, they should not be rewarded with experience and items for exploiting your unwillingness to properly enforce your EULA. You need to clearly state that such behavior is not allow and ban anyone that is doing this. How is this profiting you?

Continual allowance of this behavior is discouraging gameplay from your legal players which respect your EULA, since they are at a clear disadvantage to these cheating players who can farm 24/7 while your legal players are working. Losing players from allowing this behavior will cost you revenue, not create it.

Please enforce your own EULA and fix this unfair advantage to your legal players who follow your EULA.

This has been an issue for a long time, between that and account sharing/trading/selling I feel they just look the other way as long as they make and don’t loose $

Majority of these players aren’t using any cheats or bots and though… Lookup auto attacking with “Primary attack aim” option enabled.

“Half” of EulA and CoC are not being enforced and bigger issues are being looked other way…

There’s no way you can know that. The majority of the players I see are continually attacking non stop, without moving. They are using some method, even if it taping a button, to accomplish this. They also do this in a party of 4 to gain the extra benefits from that. Often one of the members is dead, which proves that they are truly AFK.
That is a clear violation of the EULA and just because they do not enforce some things does not mean it isn’t a violation and unfair to legal players.
Anyone that defends this behavior is obviously using it themselves to gain an unfair advantage while they are not playing, such as while working.
If you want to play a game, play it. If you wish to gain rewards while idle, there are many Japanese idle rpgs.
Diablo Immortal should not allow players to go down this road and try to turn it into an idle game. Rewards should only be obtained for actually playing the game actively.

I agree.

Blizzard’s Western EULA is clear on this sort of thing, i.e. players found guilty of it can potentially have their accounts suspended or permanently banned.

Of course, that stance isn’t enforced and, even if it was, it’s not a global policy. They introduced the ability to AFK farm into the Chinese client. Yes, you read that right. They actually put this into the game client. You know, the thing they’ll ban Western players for, they coded into the game for Chinese players.

This is why, when they say they care about stamping out cheating behaviour in their games, you can’t trust what they say, only what they do. They introduced an official way to AFK farm into their own game code, but only for one region.
