Isn’t it a crime to farm afk? I know it’s a crime to leave auto attack. Or to use macro? We have been constantly reporting these problems for the last 6-7 months. But nothing happened to any player and they still continue. There are both level advantages and item advantages. But now they drop 3 pets a day and sell them with countless essance and earn platinum. Everyone complains about this issue. If it is not a crime to do this, please write to me officially and we will play like this. But if it is a crime to do this, then either warn or punish these players. For 20 years I have been playing blizzard games, in every other game you closed their accounts without looking anyone in the eye. 1 month ago, hundreds of people were banned for this in Warcraft rumble. Why do you allow it in Diablo immortal?
Yes, this is getting ridiculous. They just create a “lazy” farm party of 4 players and stand in areas of bounties and auto attack. How can blizzard not consider this an unattended action? Blizzard should remove the auto attack ASAP. This is throwing stat normalization out of whack. I’m surprised they haven’t realized that problem.
A good rule of thumb I go with for any Blizzard/Activision/Microsoft or whatever they want to call themselves game is this. Very unlike the Blizzard North days of yesteryear, every product will be released before it is ready, and nothing will receive any attention unless it meets one of four criteria.
- Is it costing the company money?
- Is it competing with the official third-party sales?
- Are people not playing the way the developers want you to play?
- Are you having fun?
In following this doctrine I am never let down or surprised at anything that comes barreling down the pike.

I’ve only seen this in action once, as I was killing mobs for a Bounty. I noticed one player, seemingly AFK as they were stood still, as I was killing the Bounty mobs. A pack spawned near them, so I killed it, thinking that I was preventing an AFK player being killed by a respawn. As I moved around the Bounty area, I spotted two other players, from the same clan as the first one, also stood completely still, in areas I knew mobs spawned. So, I stood a fair distance away from them, able to see all three of them, and watched what happened. All three of them were next to a spawn point for a very weak set of mobs. The players took absolutely zero actions, i.e. they didn’t appear to be scripted. However, their familiars were obviously set to aggressive and the familiar killed the mobs every time they spawned. When I clicked on one of the players, it showed them as being in a 4/4 group. I never did locate where the 4th player was, but they’d be benefitting from the kills the AFK players’ familiars were making.
Surely this sort of thing has to be breaching the EULA about unattended gameplay?
