Wrathfull Hearts: Barber vs Imbue, which one u guys choose?

Wrathfull Hearts: Barber vs Imbue

which one do u think is better? for overall

for twisting blade which one is better specially? and why?

Depends on your build. Ill be using Imbue to make use of chill as a CC. If youre missing raw damage youll probably go with barber.

The best one for TB is the DoT heart with a poison build.

Agreed. The increase to poison damage is very noticeable with it.

Barber is the worst IMO. It’s annoying plus it messes with poison and it also slows down the game a lot. Especially against the damage reduction aura monsters. Instead of killing them in 1-2 hits and then everything else in 1-2 hits I have to wait 2-4 seconds for things to actually die? No thanks.

Barber - best for everything but Uber Lilith, also the most annoying especially with friends so skip.
DoT - great for pushing content and Uber Lilith, terrible for speed farming.
Imbue - ok for general content, but not even close to the other options for harder content.

I’ve played over 200 levels with Rogue, and I’ll just assume it’ll be like this:

  • Barber for Rapid Fire because it’s ricochet aspect is garbage and needs AoE beyond Shadow Imbuement.
  • Creeping Death for whoever is using poison, most likely melee builds, and whoever wants to use Cooldown Reduction, Imbuement Skill Cooldown Reduction, and the Tracker glyph.
  • Vile of Apothecary for whoever wants CC with abilities that hit a lot, fast, and with good Lucky Hit, so most likely melee builds.

If I had to put them in a hierarchy, it’d probably go:

  1. Creeping Death
  2. Barber
  3. Vile Apothecary

It’d be different if Vile Apothecary actually proc’d the way it’s written, 15% per attack, so each instance of damage being inflicted onto an enemy. However, it’s not actually programmed that way. It seems to be a Lucky Hit Chance of 15%, not a straight 15% proc chance. They’d have to make it imbue at like 200% of effectiveness, or increase the proc chance. Kind of a let down really because I think it had the most hype out of all the Rogue hearts, and it’s the most underwhelming. Granted Barber has several bugs attached to it as well, so, maybe Creeping Death is the best because it’s the only one seemingly working correctly?

Barber just requires a different build and playstyle. It’s more damage but not everyone likes how it works.
It doesn’t work with lots of things but if you work around it, it works great.

I’m running a poison build using same wrathful heart but ranged using penetrating shot and new puncture aspect. 77 now and easily soloing tier 31-35 NM Dungeons. It totally wrecks. I just setup the pack using PT, caltrops, and Decoy Heart and then one-shot with PS. Still working out kinks but otherwise a solid build.

Barber is the best heart, and yes poison and DoT works with it. It will absorb all your single target damage and blow up the entire screen.

15% lucky hit is a joke.

It’s not lucky hit based at all. It procs way too often for that to be the case. It’s a pretty fun heart to use.

Also barber is the freaking worst.

Why the heck should I, or anyone else, be forced to work around someone else’s build? That makes no sense, my man.

It completely nullifies other people’s builds. Their builds literally stop working because of the way barber works.

No bleeds > so no damage to bleeding targets, or procs
Tons of Lucky hits don’t work > build goes to crap

I mean… I literally listed a ton of things that it completely renders useless, and I will state to you again… EVEN IF YOU AREN’T THE PERSON USING IT. If someone else has it on, and is attacking the same target as you, and you are using any of the things that bug out… that’s it. You’re build just became useless.

But your answer is to “just work around it”? Smh…

Im playing trap rogue and used barber for a while until I noticed that I couldnt proc exposure anymore nor many other abilities that require me dealing damage. So I went with vile apotecary and have no complaints so far. The biggest downside is we have limited sources to increase our lucky hit, but when it does proc its quite deadly.

I’m not a Blizzard Dev, so no point complaining to me. Barber is in S1, you can either take advantage of the situation for this season or not. If you don’t like it, play eternal until S2. I only gave some advice for how to how to play barber, I’m not forcing you to do anything.

Who cares about crappy lucky hit proc builds when Barber Chads are blowing everything up?

As TB i use the 15% imbue heart. It allows me to use other abilities.

Currently 12/5 on all 3 imbuments atm. Its nuts.

dot heart is strongest, barber is a meme heart.

I do, since I rely on those lucky hits.
Also, poison is not applied correctly/good. Without barber I did a ton moar dmg.
