I have a necro I pushed to pit 105, I have a rapid fire rogue I pushed to pit 100, and I have a bash barb I pushed to pit 110. My druid I have tried werenado, windshear, boulder druid, companion druid, and lightening storm druid, and can barely do 70’s. Like buff the class already…
They definitely could use some love!
Please don’t feed the trolls. This forum has no moderation, so just let this one fade.
I’m trying Lightning Storm now but it feels so damn weak.
Not sure if it’s because I need to be stacking companions plus that one aspect but overall it tickles bosses.
Druid can clear t100 Pits with: small zoo (werewolf pet build), wind shear, and werenado. and probably more builds that people are using we dont know about. I’m using small zoo this season, and it’s amazing once you finetune it.
you need builds that can actually do massive single target damage on bosses, which was never druid’s strength.
you need to find all sources of DR in your Paragon and stack them.
Why does it feel like Bash Bard is the only viable option for high lvl pit?
I’m doing Lightning Storm now and it feels so bad.
Might just go back to my Double Swing/dust Devil barb, which feels somewhat OK on mid-high pit bosses.
Really want to enjoy LS now but it tickles.
The lightning ultimate feels so damn bad and weak too.
Well, every season there were multiple “bugged” builds that were head and shoulders above the rest. Blizzard doesnt wanna take people’s toys away mid season, so Bash’s damage multiplier is gonna get patched/nerfed for S5. For me, I just make a rule every season: I don’t play bugged builds.
Right, but that doesn’t address the issue for all the other cool/fun builds that are good for AoE but abysmal on bosses.
yeah that’s a problem of there not being enough game modes. Gauntlet is there for AoE builds, but there’s no rewards unfortunately. And Helltides needs AoE builds.
I heard the best comment on what is the best Druid build in S4…
“The best Druid build in S4, is to be next to a Summoner Necro”
Druids are so bad, same crap builds, nothing so fun , maybe beside the rotating boulders or Shred but even them are falling behind everyone atm in S4.
Druid’s builds if they arent buged, they suck. sadly
every build right now needs stackng companions
I’m trying to make Lightning Storm work without companions but it feels like hot garbage. I just don’t want 3 pet buttons that take up half my bar. I don’t even want one.
I also want to use Cyclone Armor and/or Bulwark, but those seem to also suck compared to Roar.
Yes, the issue lies squarely on the Shepherd aspect.
If that gets removed/reworked they would have to add that power back to our skill tree/Paragon. It would honestly be for the better, because the only way to scale our damage to somewhat compete is to use 2 of our limited Aspect slots, half our skill slots for pets so we can do damage that still lags behind Barb, Necro and Sorc but doing 3x times the effort.
Once they decided to actually look at the ridiculous state the class is in, then things might change, but it seems like no one on the balance team plays Druid at any high level to understand the core issues.

you don’t like pets and shapeshifting? you can clear Pit 110+ with werewolves (Small Zoo on Mobalytics). Pretty much how I always wanted to play my Druid, and now I can in D4.
Just a general imbalance in the class too. Why is Rupture on Barb with a short cooldown giving 40% attk speed for 5 seconds and Blood Howl giving only 15% on 4 seconds….
Think this season reinforces that this ship is directed by a crew that works independently of each department to hit their own KPIs, regardless of what it does to the overall cohesion and quality of the game.
Some much needed good improvements to the game. but so many of same issues persist, with many of the lessons that should have been learned clearly not.
Druid is suffering from itemization like many. Some temperings give duration to core skills, vs dmg multipliers, build diversity just plummeted due to terrible aspect balancing/talent tree/paragon, balancing of incoming dmg vs defenses is laughable as perma roar uptime> everything else for druid.
Think worse part is this was given a PTR too and many of the bugs are seasons old at this point.
Sounds like you’re doing it wrong
Druid Werenado is very strong and easily holds it’s own.
Google it
most builds can clear t100 Pits, even Landslide. Pets, wolves, werenado, wind shear, they all clear t100+
So every build is bound running shepards and stacking the crap out of animals is good aspect and talent tree balance?
Best thing about this season is zookeeper is actually playable. Yet a ton of other builds are not. Majority of talents aren’t even viable
Game is 1 yr+ but keeping enjoying animations that get stalled, bugs that prevent playstyles, and poor build customization.
About the small zoo posts i see there; If I remember correctly, it heavily relies on bug regarding elixir of holy bolts. By the way, i tested stormwolves alot today and I must say at pit 61+ they are dying in 2 seconds against trash mobs. They are omega weak on clear without elixir (which as i said, is bugged people on YT say) . IF their leap was doing some wide range AOE instead of single target then it could be different story, but right now they are only ok for Pit bosses. And sometimes if they attack when i press leap, they dont leap but i get cooldown.
Also, they very often just run around instead of attacking because they seem to cannot decide on a target and keep changing it, which is very annyoing.
Also… if they kill target and there is enemy right next to them, instead of attacking it they come back to you and only then they pick a target and run back again.
Also, they seem to not pick a target at all if you dont attack it first or if it doesnt come in [Close Range]
