For me it was ancestral drop rates. Way too low and a large percentage of them, for me at least, had the minimum roll so it became extremely rare to find an upgrade. In the last week I played I found maybe two, none of which helped my build and I play more than the average person.
I havnt went to hardcore. Lots of fun.
I still play, but my sessions are VERY quick. I’m logging in out of habit.
Even with this game technically being part “MMO”, there are no social tools to keep me interested.
Everyone in T4 is the same… Same build, same Masterworking, same Unique gear, same aspects, etc. There is no, “Oh, wow! I wonder why he or she is wearing this etc?!”
I finished my seasonal journey, pushed up to Pit 125, and called it good. I’ll still hop in if people need help running something, but I’ve had my fun for the season. I got other games to catch up on personally speaking, and my video game playing time is rather limited.
We receive the “end build” too fast. By level 60 and t1 you’re already playing an end build the same as 200 paragon. Only thing that changes is damage and minion health so it feels the same.
They need to nerf CDR. Spamming spells should be a t3 and 4 enjoyment. Not something I do for 99% of the game.
The game needs to have a play style progression not just a fast leveling as a way of progression. Otherwise item upgrades are really boring when your build playstle is the same but just does a little more d.g.
Still playing. Still procrastinating on my last two levels to 300 lol. Having fun now making a minion necro and a touch of death SB.
But I’ve been grinding the game hard for weeks now so I’m also being a bit more chill and doing some other stuff like catching up on some manga and some irl stuff that I put off lol.
Still want to also make a crushing hands and get the citadel mogs…. And run my last 200 pits to get to 300… ugh.
I really enjoyed HC in D3 but it seems a lot less forgiving in D4 so I keep putting it off.
Its not to bad but yeah I saw a friend stand in bad and get one shot. With paragon not resetting on dealth its not to bad.
HC is a very different community but its not for everyone.
Still playing. Paragon 295 atm
Taking it slow since we are not even at 50% of the season yet. I played a little too much.
How fascinating some people are still calling nerfs.
Here you go, another reason. Everyone who feels “game is too easy” calls for nerfs to here and there.
Game is damn easy and any strong build is all about spamming same ability over and over. It’s not about how fast you go there etc. whether it’s 20 hours or 50, you’ll be bored with a non engaging game.
Also end result of a build shouldn’t be making it more boring. It should be about making key points stronger.
I stopped playing Season 6 because, once the honeymoon phase brought about by the season’s novelties was over, everything else turned out to be a boring grind purely for its own sake.
I expected the new activity, which they had portrayed as a difficult group activity in the promotional phase, to be part of the endgame that Blizzard always promised and never delivered. Once again I was disappointed, the activity is easily farmable and poorly rewards those who complete it, and it is not endgame: at best, another piece of midgame.
We find ourselves like a year ago chasing an absurd experience cap. They seemed to have listened to us when we all complained that getting to level 100 was boring as hell, and they had simplified the whole thing. All this only to take the new cap too far beyond the reach of anyone not playing professionally, or anyone not using a bot. I quit out of sheer boredom.
I quit because we STILL end up with a game economy that makes no sense whatsoever, forcing us to spend real money on external sites to get what the game refuses to drop, even after HUNDREDS of hours of play. Always with the suspicion that those sites are covertly controlled by Blizzard.
I quit because the ancestral dop and the aspect system is an insult to every minute spent in the game. To find yourself after 5 or 6 consecutive hours played over the weekend with no better item than the mediocrity you already have and no improvement in the aspects you use is something that screams for the return of the Holy Inquisition, this time not in Spain but in the offices of Blizzard.
I quit because Blizzard’s management team doesn’t give a damn about us average gamers, they have once again and amply demonstrated this to us: the important thing is not to piss us off, for the rest it’s enough to make empty promises and bore us to death. Which is also the only reason why the Spiritborn hasn’t been nerfed.
The worst thing, though, is that I’m really starting to get fed up. I’m not even angry, just inconsolably disappointed with how bad this game is getting. And from the 6th of December I’ll have something else to do.
Higher level pits force you to run a fixed build through specific uniques for sufficient dps. Limiting build viability and creativity.
It’s sad to see in Trade chats that people are looking for Ancestral items to upgrade their aspects
So put on cdr gear when you hit t4. Super simple solution to your first world problem.
Alternatively, stop spamming skills.
Like what. Entirely under your control.
Finished the season journey and started in on paragon grind. Realized how much time was needed to grind out paragon levels. Realized how much time I would end up spending in the pit, the least interesting activity in the game, to make progress.
Went back to tooling around with eternal characters. Might eventually reach 300 paragon with one.
I haven’t stopped playing. I roll alts and keep enjoying my builds.
Bought dragon age. Having fun with that for now. Also, hit a hill/wall with progression where everthing I can do to make my character stronger takes a long time and yields miniscule results just to do the same things over and over.
So, I still enjoy the game and will play occasionally and will definitely go all in when the next season drops. I’m just not feeling the pull to play much right now.
I’m just waiting to see what mid-season patch offers but truthfully I’ve put in the time. I don’t expect infinite content and am just happy with what I’ve achieved until S7.
I haven’t stopped playing.
My eternal sb is 57. Didn’t do the season, I am so far from “complete” on this character that the idea of starting completely over is bonkers to me. That’s definitely for people who play way more than me, plus I really don’t like the early game so I don’t want to experience it again and again and again and again. I had gems and gold and mats on eternal and that outweighs any seasonal gimmick.
