Why did you stop playing S6?

I got stuck in T2/T3 and felt no progression, no gear upgrade and MW just kept on taking my gold and resources. I usually burn out ~90hr mark, only S2 I managed to clock in 223hrs.

I do grind D2R but for some reason, that is fun to me, there is always something exciting. A gear for another class, a superior base or a nice charm. I feel like D4 becomes boring superfast once you reach about 80% build completion and mostly because nothing exciting is dropping. I love the graphics and the music but I also feel like D4 has no identity, everything is the same. Dungeons, monsters, etc are all the same. In D2, I had specific builds for Trav, WSK or Ubers, etc. had to pay attention to specific area, monsters like black souls, etc and always found ancients challenging. :man_shrugging:

To me, the most annoying thing is that the open world is not engaging, I usually just run through it which is a same. Side quests? The cache is a joke, why having them at all? But above all, I bought a game and the devs keep turning it upside down every few months.

Blizzard has successfully broken me. They have managed somehow to make a ā€œgameā€ a job. Something tedious, irritating, mindless, frustrating and with no reward at the end. The uber drop rate is stupidly huge devaluing them even more. Bad stat uniques are so abundent that you no longer need to worry about mats because thereā€™s soooo much trash you salvage. Ancestrals? What are those? Anyone seen any? Oh yeah, Blizzard has also made it so you have to purchase gear from an outside source, which we all know is against the rules but the only way you can get ancestral gear, hence why I do not have any ancestral gear. I refuse to buy it at a Chinese place and Trade site is a joke with everything being in the hundreds of Billionsā€¦thanks Blizzard again for continuing to break the economy of the game by raising the cap for the Elites to 99Trillionā€¦yeah that will fix things. In one fail swoop Blizzard has broken everything good about this game. I am following the mass exodus to a better developed game that values itā€™s players and their feedback. I have no hope they will fix anything so saying Iā€™ll be back remains to be seen. Iā€™m skeptical.

The game is boring after blastin with a broken class for a couple weeks.

Iā€™m still playing for now.

There are two major issues with the game at the moment. The first being actual progress towards the codex, they seem to be aware of this and hopefully make a decent adjustment in the mid season patch.

My second issue is with the density of bullet sponge type enemies. There are way too many increased HP mobs in the pit, they arenā€™t hard to beat but they take a long time to kill. Because this is a timed activity and necessary for progression of glyphs it only serves as a means to slow the player down which eventually turns into a progression wall.

They need to seriously turn down both the density and HP of these mobs. The goal of stat squish was to reduce the numbers and yet we have aspirational content that requires exponentially higher damage than before the stat squish.

I havent stopped. Still jammin

Because I got my build 95% complete and that last 5% to get is so astronomically rare that there is no progression at all.

And since the Andyā€™s Barrage stealth nerf I donā€™t find killing enemies fun enough to log in anymore.

Then thereā€™s all the drama regarding bad development practices and the tone deaf campfiresā€¦D4 has an optics issue now.

I finished everything I wanted to do. Already looking forward to S7. Playing other games while I wait.

Which IMHO is how these games are meant to be played. Not only playing one game year ā€˜round and complaining it doesnā€™t have enough new stuff for you.

I havenā€™t come close to doing what I wanted to in S6. And Iā€™m not really looking forward to S7. Why? In one word, ā€œBugsā€. Longer version ā€œBugs and lack of balanceā€

I was looking forward to grinding during the Halloween event but they managed to completely destroy the game for days with the DLSS Debacle. A problem they didnā€™t completely resolve for 2 freaking weeks.

And Iā€™ve tried playing Spiritporn and just canā€™t stand it. Itā€™s completely not the class I want to play. I didnā€™t like playing Monks in D3 and I donā€™t like playing the Jungle Monk in D4.

So my preferred class remains in the toilet, XP grinding when I canā€™t get above pit 50 is insane, and the ancestral aspects I thought Iā€™d get to make my build will remain unobtainable.

And none of the underlying problems appear to even be on the radar for Blizzard for the rest of this season or the next. Soā€¦ yeahā€¦ other games will have my timeā€¦ and likely for a long, long time. Vessel of Disappointment was, is, and likely will remain a lousy expansion.

I havenā€™t stopped yet, but when I do it will be one of 2 reasons

  1. S7 PTR is live Hoorah!

  2. I have finally accepted that none of my characters are going to max all aspects or have perfect GA / MW in the season

If they really are not going to budge on drop rates for Ancestrals, Aspects, Obducite, then starting in S7 I will have to make hard choices about whether to stop making alts and play only 1 character to go for completion, or accept that the state of the game is that completion is not possible in a season and continue to enjoy playing a variety of builds and sometimes classes.

Iā€™d love to have a third option to play more, but Iā€™m already giving every waking moment that isnā€™t required by my job/family/gardens and Iā€™m not willing to sacrifice the time I give to any of those things for more completion in a video game

I stopped playing after launch and restarted with VoH and havenā€™t played any of D4s PTRs.

What does it usually have. Everything or just select parts of the season? Does it have the seasonal mechanic?

Stopped after 10 days. This seasons had no sense. First time I dropped seasonā€¦
Game goes to very bad direction with development and I think upcoming new RPG games (especially PoE2) simply will desert Blizzard servers.

the whole spiritborn thing made it really hard to login. Everyone was expecting SB to be the strongest but the fact they refuse to patch actual bugs and exploits because it could nerf SB is just ridicule.

Iā€™m soo sad to say that I made a mistake buying this game, I just feel scammed manā€¦ I just want my money back

Takes too long to get ancestrals and aspects for alternate builds.

Friends all quit cause they did everything they wanted on Spiritborn. I stopped playing Spiritborn due to the bugs. Leveler all the other classes but since ancestral are so rare, I havenā€™t gotten upgrades on 4 characters for 2 weeks. I think Iā€™m probably done cause I donā€™t partake in trading and gold is a pain to farm solo.

I havenā€™t completely quit, but seeing nothing but SB is very annoying. I get it though, as I play one as well. I have to in order to push Pit.

Since everyone I see are SB, this doesnā€™t even feel like Diablo game, but some hack n slash Jungle Book variant. Seriously.

Still playing. Grinding to paragon 300 so I can say I did it and never do it again. Will definitely quit the season after that.

Unless they make significant changes, Iā€™ll probably play S7 just to complete the season journey and then quit again. The cadence at which you can get upgrades is just ridiculously slow.

Iā€™ve been speed clearing tier 100 pits for over a week (currently paragon 291) and I havenā€™t gotten a single upgrade in that time. I still havenā€™t found a max aspect for my build (Interdiction, Redirected Force, Unyielding Hits, Fell Soothsayer). Iā€™ll probably hit paragon 300 without maxing any of those aspects, which is absolutely mind blowing.

I know they want you to continue to grind after ā€œgetting your build onlineā€, but theyā€™ve taken it way too far. It shouldnā€™t take 100+ hours to get a small upgrade. The funny thing, my gear isnā€™t even that good. Almost entirely 1 GA. Doing hundreds or thousands of pit runs without an upgrade when your gear is mid at best is just too much.

To add insult to injury the masterworking / tempering system continues to suck hard. Even if I do manage to find an upgrade, the thought of having to temper and masterwork it isnā€™t exciting in the least. Itā€™s just not fun.

I stopped playing after S4. I canā€™t imagine doing all this over again and again and again so soon after. Gotta have different things to do to get me engagedā€¦and dispatching enemies with a different class doesnā€™t really count.

My time is too precious to be spent on pointless grinding.

Drops bad. Dont see any 2-3 Ga Items. And when they drop, its crap. And i stoped at 280. My Goal was making Para 300 but it takes too much time. Theres nothing left here. They had the chance with mid season update and choosed not to solve the problems the ppl asked for. End of the story
