Same issue. I enjoy the play-style of the druid…but it’s not fun gearing up round bowling balls.
This is easily resolved.
Switch the Sorcerer female and male bodies with the Druid female and male bodies. It make sense then, because Sorcerers sit around and let their Hydras do everything so they got fat. Druids now have the ideal body of a gatherer/hunter.
Also, this would force every fotm player to embrace obesity and love it.
Question: Why would Blizz make an obese class to force their wokeness on the players, but then make that class the most depressing unfun class to play?
My theory is that the class designer doesn’t like fat people and so they made the class horrible after being told their body images were set and weren’t going to be changed.
Shouldn’t the fat people be the OP class? This is discrimination level stuff here. I think the best answer is to switch the sorcerer and druid body forms, so the obese characters can be overpowered and the shallow vain people have to live with it or suck at the game.
Agree. I won’t be playing a fat, obese character who supposed to save the world? If it were justified, fine. But nowhere in any other game, or even Diablo game, druid is obese like that. Only in D4 Beta. So let’s fix it, Blizz, do it properly, please.
I bet if sorcerers were fat most everyone would play them simply because they are overpowered. It’s easy to say you’re not going to play the fat class that is the most terrible experience in the game.
This feels like it isn’t going to end well…
Never watched the cinematic for Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, eh?
Okay, I’ll take the bait.
So yeah, you can imagine that - or better yet, imagine logging into a game and feeling so attached to your character that you view it as an extension of all things you know you’re not but wish you could be.
And the end of the day - its just a game, guy. If you need to escape so obsessively into your fantasy, then you may need to consult a therapist.
In any event - thanks for letting us know you hate people who dont appear acceptable to you.
People cried D2R had ugly amazons and old druids. Now you’re crying about fat people and female necros with no breasts. I get it, you straight guys can’t play a game without being aroused over your characters. Just keep in mind that you don’t have to sexualize every single video game character you play. You will use lore excuses and multiple other bs reasons but lets be real, its people like you that dish out tons of cash to anime girl gacha games because BOOBA
“straight guys” make up 90% of the gamer market. We are the majority of the customers. We can have our opinions.
Necromancers are emaciated. They still get moderately attractive options.
Druids don’t have to be ugly. Keep the bodysize if you must. Just give them heads and faces that people might actually be interested in.
Guessing you haven’t seen the thread full of people demanding boobs for them?
It not just druids that look bad all the of the character models are plain but to me the character look does not matter at all because you only get to really see the backside.
I just dont care. Im having fun playing and never once was concerned about the thought even entering my mind that my characters physical appearance would be unacceptable.
Only thing Druid in D4 should be shapeshifting into is the gatdam Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters lolol
dabs over Jianyu’s dietary practices hard
I get where they’re coming from. I think they wanted to give every class an unique silhouette through body types and gear. Barbarians are the tradition strong body builders, rogues are athletic, sorcerers are lithe and necromancers are spindly and tall.
What build would you give Druids, then? They are still barbarians, so something strong, but body builder builds are already taken by Barbarians, and skinnier than that wouldn’t make sense (and are already taken by other classes). With unique builds in mind, the strongman/woman build is the most logical if they want Druids to look different from Barbarians.
Personally I like their build, I just wish for more face and hair options, maybe some braided looks. And the degenerate part of me wouldn’t say no to a slightly bigger chest on the ladies…maybe men too
This is how I feel about all the character models. We’re so used to our game avatars (ESPECIALLY female models) having perfect, hourglass figures with gravity-defying balloon boobs, perfect bubble butts, thighs that are “just right”, and in some games, the ability to have all that and fight while wearing 6" to 10" heels.
I LIKE that the character models are not “perfect”. I don’t mind my druid being a bigger model, she doesn’t look weird going from human to bear as much as she would if she were a skinny little thing and her looks befit someone who lives in a cold, harsh climate. As far as lumbering, no. That’s what my rogue does - for some reason the model I picked (3rd down on right side) appears to have GIANT thighs in-game & it looks like her legs bounce off one another when she’s running. I should probably give feedback on that, come to think on it.
This is DIABLO, not Hello Kitty. If you plan to play the game while staring at your female character’s butt, you’re in for a world of hurt lol. If you want fap material, play WoW, Lost Ark or any of the Final Fantasy games. They wanted to go grittier with D4 and they did so, ACROSS THE BOARD.
I do agree more hair options would be nice. I ended up going with the braids, but I don’t like the hair on the back of her head - to me it should be longer than it is.
Really? What about all the female gamers who, last I saw, outnumber male gamers? Pretty sure we’re not secretly “straight guys”. But yes, you can have your opinions, thankfully developers see them for what they are though.
I’m sure more hair options will eventually be coming in the Battlepass as extras to buy.
Male gamers are still and always will be heavily the majority. If you do not understand this, you are very delusional.
There are countless threads protesting the look of the characters, and it all comes down to “no body slider” and forcing you into a body type. Even without body slider, there should be at least 3 basic body types (thin, average, heavy), and leave choice to the player.
Let’s be honest that character creator is lackluster compared to most modern RPGs and games. Even the faces often kind of suck.
People not playing a class entirely, because it looks too ugly, is a huge problem to the game frankly. I was planning on playing Druid due to the cool Berserker aesthetics, but I’m definitely going Rogue or Barbarian now.
have you tried Barbie Spring Break Island? the character customazation is insane you’ll love it
