What on earth kinda direction is this for the game

What the hell is up with everything being a loot fest with zero defficulty. I mean 15 hrs into the season i could oneshot just about anything and breeze through pit up towards 100 or so. Yes i play a metabuild, but anyways its a clear direction for the game. Just one press of a key loot and everything handed to you instantly. Talk about boring recipe. Wtf is up?

Meta build are there for people with a power fantasy that want to max out quickly and destroy everything. There are 20 other builds for each character that have to be developed and take more time and patience and may never get there. The game is what you make of it.

I guess Blizzard was extremely satisfied with how well SB was received last season. They took into account the complaints about lack of balance between the classes and made sure that this time builds from 3 different classes could do the same as SB last season.

What more should we be asking for?

then create your own build? it’s more fun that way (spoiler, you might not get that far that fast)

Guys, get a grip!!!

Some say it’s hard, they want more drops, or whatever.
Others say it’s too easy, to nerf things…

Get a grip and stop the crying & whining.

The game is as it is, and after all, is just a game…

Season 8 - A Return to Whimseyshire! all of your favorite rainbows, unicorns, flowers, pots of gold make a return to match the current difficulty of the game.

You just perfectly identify the problem of the community playing only metabuild because they can’t be good with a no meta build or no meta class.

This is the direction of the PLAYERS not the game or Blizzard.

Blizzard just adds some mechanics, aspects and change for the class.

Players use it to find the most “bugged”, the most overpower and easiest way to smash the content with a single skill.

If you play BW Necro you will annihilate everything on your path until Pit 130 because this is how the build make him strong around the Blood Wave ability + all multiplicatives damage BW have.

There is some mistake make by Blizzard yes, but Players need to be less hypocrit because playing meta build mean playing with the most powerful build who can smash the content without any effort required, and complain it about it is really hypocrit.

Metas are specifically build arrangements that provide the easiest game experience due to innate power. You are purposely creating your own complaint - or at least obfuscating your ability to see if the game does offer challenge you would be happy with.

Its not hypocritical to want to play with new gear. There’s so much loot that drops in this game including seasons past, that you’ve seen all the different gears drops 100’s or 1000’s of times. When they add new gear that does new things (that they even show off during campfire chats) you naturally want to give a build a go with that gear.

If it happens that that gear trivializes the game, its still not hypocritical to play that gear and complain about difficulty of the game. It means the devs way overshot the mark and are bad at balance! One could even say unprofessional perhaps. For you to say that its hypocritical means you feel its intended by the devs to create such obnoxious power levels that let you get done with the season in a week, and that players should instead choose to not to play with new gear that they preview. You’d rather give Blizz a pass and call players hypocritical?

Personally I believe it is because it ensures interaction with whatever new thing they make and I think that is one of the main things they are judged on by their management.

Players can be hypocritical about this at the same time as I can feel Blizzard has made poor design choices. These aren’t mutually exclusive.

Did you need my approval like a father with his son or this is a real question?

Players are hypocritical, it’s a fact, more than ever today. Playing the most overpower build and complain about difficulty => Hypocritical

My answer : Go play Druid Companion and try to down a 150 now?

Rekt the content in a week without any challenge because a skill smash in trillions of damage everything and complain about there is no content when they’re is more content than D3 RoS all season combined => Hypocritical

Do you need some another example or you will stay Hypocritical like you are?

I don’t defend Blizzard, but hypocritical people are the worst piece of cancer of this planet, they don’t deserve any kind of respect from me. And i will proudly say it again.

The meta builds are done in a week or two it seems.(Maybe less) That’s not healthy considering the season lasts 3 months. You do realize, Blizzard, people are going to get bored with this formula and not care to keep doing it?

Another one. I guess an ancestral brain didnt drop for you at birth. How unfortunate, but thats the rng of life, I guess.

Spotted the problem.

I prefer to give nobody a “pass.” Not Blizzard’s terrible “quality control,” & not players who jump on the OP meta-build & then whine that the game is an overly easy loot shower.

The resident geniuses will tell you this is just what players want, as dictated by the wisdom of the free market. I kid you not.

You know, there are basically classes of gaming posters. As shallow as they are amusing.

The lesson gaming communities teach is that you don’t put much stock on what players say or want when making a game. You have to have your own vision as the average gamer, at most, only has vision for what they have already seen, which is often mediocre in addition to unoriginal. Gamers are consumers, not creators. You have to be pretty ruthless and dismissive as a game designer/developer, although those roles themselves tend to be trivialized and technical. And so, we end up with an ironic failure of a game like Diablo IV, which more or less everyone knows is a crap game yet here it is and nowhere is it going.

Implying that this game is only trivialized and drowning in loot when you are playing a meta build is insulting to anyone that puts even a minimal effort into crafting a build.
This game’s difficulty has been ruined and it is ruined for everyone. Leveling is ruined, loot drop rate is ruined, endgame is ruined.

Just like super-hard isnt fun for 90% of the population, super-easy isnt fun for 90% of the population. It feels lame.

The players want to feel powerful as was indicated by 60% of people playing SB last season which was superborked. So the game will continue going this direction.

Right you are. And as you can see, as is common with struggling games, the people who hang around comfort themselves with fallacies.

Come on, man, it was the first new class since the game released. Can we not assume that the majority of those people only played the new class because they wanted to be overpowered? Can we make the LEAST number of assumptions?
