I’m currently level 60 and leveling is very slow. I figured I’d give the WT3 Capstone dungeon a shot and got destroyed (enemies are level 70). I’m not really having any issues doing anything else in the game. What should I be doing to level? I’m not really getting any gear upgrades and just have to figure out a way to get into WT4.
idk man last time I was 60 dungeons were still viable. I guess you are gonna do their so called filled with variety open world quests now lmao
i would advise you to do events for obols, side stories and finish the renown to get all 20 point of Paragon and maybe also nightmare dungeons too
Every things adds up and at the end you will get there
I’ve been working on the renown and Tree of Woe. Those +4 Paragon points are kind of huge.
Do the same dungeon hundreds of times over and over for a few days
There’s a point about 70 lvl where gear stop scaling. It’s time to get your endgame gear and you need 4 lvl difficulty to ancestral items start dropping
Have someone carry you through the 70 capstone and farm at T4
Same spot as you. I’m doing side quests and stuff to get the renown completion for more paragon points then I’ll take on that dungeon again. If you focus on the mini goals then the levels come faster than you realize.
That has been eliminated as of today. You can’t be higher level and be in a group in order to get into or past a WT.
@generatedtag and @Ziva. Do you have any Aspects Legendaries? If so, you need to look for Yellows and Upgrade them. Some will drastically change as you go up in level.
It might be time to cross check your build with people. I did not even look at Blight for my Minion Necro. However, it does have a synergy. So, there could be something you missed.
Just go rp in their amazing open world and do side quest and low density dungeons. Youll hit 70 by the time season 1 comes out just to do it all agane
Renown - takes a huge time even with spoilers. Hell tides - targeting for mystery chests for very slim probability of unique to drop (I got one). Leveling glyphs - well you have to do NM dungeons for that. Gear optimization - this is PITA, imo circling for the gambling obols to get legendary as close as possible to what you looking way to go.
What does this mean? Everyone has to be the same level doing a Capstone dungeon?
I was finding it super slow as well, but I started doing hell tide events for obols and lots of elites in a small area. When the helltide isn’t active I’ve been doing nightmare dungeons at 3-5 levels higher than my level to level my glyphs and the last 5 levels have seemed to go twice as fast.
I was able to solo the wt4 capstone at 60 with this character and so almost all wt4 since then. I’ve been jumping into the world boss fights in wt3 though.
Idk, 60-65 has seemed faster than 55-60 for me while doing this.
I did it at level 64, arounf levrl 65 can be done.
Why bother? At first I looked onto imprinting as a viable option but if you compare sacred legendary (native) with sacred legendary (via imprinting aspect) - you will not be happy with what you see. Also look on paragon boards specifically on “rare” (and legendary) - to work on max they do require from you having certain stats as certain level. Think about this - you have weapon with +XX stats (which give you in return +40-80% damage bonus via rare nodes) but not exactly optimum base damage or/and aspect - replacing it with better base damage weapon and right aspect will cause you significant damage loss. So, imo, for the mid-game gambling for sacred legendary is way to go
Believe it or not, here is what was happening. Character A is Level 80 and is past Capstone Dungeon 2; Character B is Level 50 and past Capstone 1; Character C is level 20; Character D is Level 22. Character A lets Character B into the group. At this point, the level for the group is set at technical level 50. Character A lets Character C and D into the group. Because there is not actual restriction on character level, C and D are allowed into WT3 - without doing the Capstone Dungeon. So, they can now run the Capstone Dungeon with a Level 20 and Level 22 character.
Not sure exactly how Blizzard has changed this but I would be in favor of just plain deleting all characters involved as well.
Here’s something I haven’t seen brought up elsewhere, but…run the red dungeons you haven’t cleared before for grim tasks. This is 4 things in 1:
- Aspect
- Renown
- Grim Task progress
- Loot/exp (basic progression.)
I cleared the capstone at 58, but as a necro it feels like I had a bit of an advantage (or at least my build did.) My two brothers play melee and have struggled quite a bit with it between 58-63, but I did end up helping one of them later.
That said, even after clearing at 58 I wasn’t efficient with other dungeons at all, so after doing some whispers and getting a few ancestral upgrades, I went back to WT3, leveled to 60 so that I could upgrade them, then went back later.
Granted, the “I am not getting any gear upgrades to me” meant they did not have any Sacred of Ancestral gear. So, ww are going off of simple legendary gear. In this case, that means finding Yellows in general and re-doing the imprinting would give better results.
Also, someone else had already mentioned Obols. So, no need to repeat. Similarly, do renown, etc. had already been mentioned. So, I was looking for other stuff that may help the situation.
I could be wrong but playing necro I most certainly can tell that there are certain “damage breaking points” for certain levels. I almost dare to say DPS level but its not that. I yet to come with something numeric but subjective it looks like this - you need to be able kill trash in 1 hit, elite maximum 2-3 and most importantly you need to be able kill boss w/o need of kiting it :). If you are straggling with it - you have to keep grinding for gear before move onto next ladder
