What do to from level 60-70?

Still confused. I am level 60 and in WT3. My brother is level 40 and in WT2. I can’t go back to WT2 to help him with his Capstone dungeon?

If it was yesterday, you could. I am not sure about today.

I am sure that you could group with him in WT3 yesterday without him doing the Capstone Dungeon, today that is not the case.

I am a barb. And I had to get renowned so I could be stronger with the paragon board to do the 70 capstone. The 65-70 grind was rough for me because I didnt do any team dungeons that give more xp. I decided to just enjoy clearing out quests and using an online map to show me lilith stones to get renowned. I just got to t4 2 days ago and have upgraded to all ancestral legs/uniques. From doing helltides and Legion events. While at a legion event I said out loud invite me to a party. And someone invited me. After the event they started doing ancestral 27 dungeons that they blew through and I got alot of major upgrades. So kinda out of the blue just by trying to talk with people my game changed fast. I bet if there was in game world communication people would blow through the game faster.

Most people look at only DPS and that is a mistake. There is a debate about how many Paragon boards are optimal. The answer is 4 or 5 unless you have lots of healing. Basically, you can have 6 or 7 boards but all your defensive stuff stops scaling. So, as long as you can heal, you can do 6+ boards but you may want to do only 4 and keep the defenses up.

It is similar here. You may need to look at overpower, vulnerable, etc. as opposed to straight DPS. As a side note, I have not been able to come close to beating most final bosses without kiting. Granted, I am well past prime gaming age but you can’t hit everything first. You must have some defenses.

In answer to your question. In and of itself, there is no subjective measure for a build. Many people will try to use straight DPS but that discounts DoT, AoE, etc. and, once again, ignores defense. After all, we all know what a Glass Cannon is!

Most people use time on task (in this case, defeat bunch of monsters) as the metric. Even then, there is some wiggle room. There are people who insist that if you cannot defeat a final boss is under a minute, your build is trash. That stated, it should not take you very long to deal with mobs. If you have stuff that is on cooldown and you are using more than once a regular fight, you may want to look at skills, gear, etc. because you are taking too long.

I am lvl 61. I just finished doing all sidequest, altars and map exploration. I am now doing all dungeons for aspects one area at a time. I mix in some nightmare tier 20 dungeon inbetween sessions. My goal is to basically slowly build and finish the foundation of my account so that future replays on alt characters etc. will be more relaxing without worrying about any side stuff like altars, aspects etc.

Take it slowly and just enjoy the game for now. Learn everything along the way so that when season comes and you want to play another character everything will be more enjoyable and relaxing.

Between us  hardest to kill boss in main story line for me was Brol, every other boss was killed under within single use of ulta. Secret was prolonged fight with pets healing tactic

You can do Helltide whenever it’s up if you want to.

Other than that, it’s chain run dungeons over and over about 300+ times. Normal or Nightmare Dungeons. That’s essentially what you’ll be doing for the rest of your time up to level 100. Unless Season 1 has a few new end game activities to do, this is what you’ll essentially be doing for the next 4 months. Especially if you skip the campaign at the start of Season 1.

That’s literally it.

I’m having the same problem. Boy does it suck.

Nonsense, did it today.

So far, Lilith’s Lament. But getting the timing right with this boss was… amusing. Had a similar problem with BroodGuard and that made the fight easier.

My current headache is that I’m level 66 and haven’t gotten any decent upgrades in over ten levels. Nothing is dropping for me that’s worth rerolling and no aspects for my spec.

My minions do more damage than I do, and still haven’t seen a real buff, so that should tell you how bad my drops have been. I’m beginning to become disinterested.

You can do normal and nightmare dungeons.

Also if you can’t clear the lvl 70 capstone, Playing in T4 won’t really be easier since monsters are lvl 73+.

I play necro and ran into the same gear deadzone. At around 64-65 I ended up saying screw good affix rolls and threw on the highest dmg 2 handed weapon I could find, sacced my golem for corpse tendril, and put on the barrier, bubble shield and shadowblight aspects and dps raced the 2nd capstone boss. Lol.

Nightmare dungeons for levelling your sigils and helltides for loot and materials. Legion events when they crop up and make sure to find and stand by the campfire for the xp boost before it kicks off (arrive a few minutes early so the buff can stack a few times). Popping a potion will also give you a bonus 5% xp so keep them up if you can.

I want to share my mid 60 experience. On the good side - out of blue @67-68 I got rain of unique drops - deathless vision (HUGE boost to the damage), frosty boots, unique gloves, free bone spirit chest - literally I got 5 unique in 1 day. At 68 I got quest for Capstone II and WT4. First I got wiped on the first boss - my damage was not good enough. I ditched golem in favor of corpse tendrils and added aspect that give huge boost for crit chance and crit damage - that did work. So I went for a short period of time to WT4 just for 1 purpose  - to get ancestor 1H sword (just rare but with “right” stats) put splinter aspect onto it and problem with DPS was solved. Judging by power curve - by mid 60s, paragon start play bigger role that raw gear stats (you still need right aspects). Moral - make sure you complete renown to get those 20 paragon points (which is equal of 5 levels of progression). Grind wise? from what I see fast exp you will get from hell tides

Do Uldir’s Cave! I think it’s in kehjistan. Anyway it’s near the Iron Wolves waypoint. It is packed with lots of elites and that’s how I leveled up pretty fast these past few days

Getting Ancestral would be very tricky at mid 60 solo necro  But getting sacred, sacred legendary and sacred unique? - that should not be even remotely challenging. Gambling with obols generates on average 1 legendary per 4-5 rolls. Doing world boss always net at minimum 2 legendary. Hell tides allow even control slot of legendary item - weapon, jewel, armor. Mystery chests always give 3 legendary (occasionally unique).

It must be a level thing. I have yet to get a single legendary from Obols but none of my characters is over level 30.

wt 3 is truly badly laid out right now. started at50 about done with gear grind at 55 then 15 levels of zero progress grinding till you get to a level to clear the next gate and start over.

its possible but frankly the barriers of time and resources have stopped me changing my build since around 30 and thers no gear out there that really mixes stuff up so you are doing the exact same thing for… well… ever … i actually miss d3 itemisation… holy

so how to get through that wasteland from 55-70 well i ground out a few renown farms, did some nightmare dungeons one more helltide that i could stand some world boss and legion events.

then at 63 i had a moment of clarity , i logged off , uninstalled and went to do a job i get paid for . yes this is a lie but you get the point =)

50-70 been given to actually shape specialization of you char. Grinding renown can be pain but here is a hit - don’t do any dungeons (directly). Stick with doing side quests and Lilith monuments. If you are looking for fastest exp/time yield at 60-70 - look no more  - do hell tides and grim favors
