What a disappointment of a response you lost all integrity as a company even you admit it wasn't fair

I should be surprised but I’m not, Activision/Blizzard has no integrity left. When a person or company screws up we expect an apology and an actual fix, not a shrug and a middle finger. People who don’t exploit this companies complete incompetence get a go fk yourself have fun chasing the purple dragon, and I for one am done. I will no longer be treated like a domestic abuse victim and I suggest everyone that feels the same way to stand up for themselves because this company will never change. Its sad the veteran WoW players have the saying “exploit early, exploit often” because they know they will get to keep their spoils after blizzard fks up, which at this point is once a week at the very least!

Clearly you fail to realize that if the solution here isn’t the solution moving forward, then it should not be the solution now. Also way to out yourself! Just sayin LOLOL

I’m pretty sure Blizzard has the right to judge what they think is exploitation in their games. The source of the items was a public event that required no special means to get the items other than to be eligible to get the items as drops.

You see, OP, fairness matters to them and they will delete items in the future. It’s just that fairness doesn’t matter right now. Because reasons.

Because out of those accounts, at least one just so happened to be a barb or sorc playing the game normally and doing a helltide normally.

They likely can’t discern who was doing it normally and who was abusing a bug to open chests repeatedly.

It doesn’t really matter. All that means is such a player shouldn’t be banned. But the item needs to go because its very existence is just a bug.

Back in the day they would have just done a rollback or removed said items/cheaters and called it a day as in Vanilla wow days etc. The fact the same company doesn’t hold itself so highly and accountable anymore is really annoying, pathetic & outright disappointing.

they got our money already, they dont care LOL but also the shako thing is eternal realm and no ones gonna care much for that, i am sure most will play seasons exclusively.

All I take from their response is to exploit early and exploit often.

If the choice is between being disadvantaged for playing within the rules outlined by the ToS OR flipping a coin as to whether some jobsworth picks and chooses arbitrarily when the ToS should apply… Flip the coin.

Thats my take on it as well, if I ever find a future cheat I’m going to nail it hard because it’s all fair in cheating blizzards eyes.

Exactly. These jealous whiners just want to assume everyone that got it watched the streamer and quickly rushed to helltide to get these items when most of them probably happened to just be playing the game normally and got lucky. I wish I was playing on my barb that day too but I am getting my druid to 100 instead and do not watch streamer to even be aware of the bug etc lol.

Absolutely shameful this is the response from them… I’m at a loss for words myself. I believe one of the lead devs also snapped at a random user on Twitter too on top of, what I read I couldn’t watch myself, jokes of colonoscopies / and the ‘malignant tunnels’ during the live stream? People need to be fired.

However, a wild idea I had while discussing this issue with some friends… Has anyone attempted to reach out and contact the CEO? I would myself if I was a big enough “influencer”/streamer/(whatever). I know I know he’s the devil bla bla bla whatever. Fact remains he answers to shareholders and attempting to explain a loss of revenue which could’ve been avoided … might tighten the grip and put some people in their place. He might truly be unaware of the Diablo dev teams response to this. Just some food for thought.

Either way I do hope they come to their senses this weekend and do what is fair for everyone and not a select 142 friends/family/fav streamers.

Cripes. Its 142 shakos spread out over millions of players. Get a grip and get some perspective. If you lose your mind over this, how do you handle life on a daily basis?

They already got their money from us they no longer care.

Im fairly sure its recorded what chests have been opened by a specific account. So even after the Hotfix, most would still go for the 175 cinders one, since its the only real source for Lost Souls.

Besides that, the only ones of the Uber Uniques that should have been removed, are the ones below lvl 85, cause those shouldnt even be possible by normal drop standards, unless they received it by drop chance from a T31+ NMD.
This would at least target those that did receive the item by spam opening chests with an alt.

But whatever, the interesting part at the end of the day was how Blizz would handle the situation.
For me it wouldnt have changed anything anyway, cause i will stick to season rotation, but I do understand the annoyance of this for the ones that want to stay in Eternal and like the PvP (no idea whats so fun about the PvP in this game anyway, cause unbalanced³ lol)

This isn’t true, you had to be a barb or sorc since they have no class specific uniques in the helm slot, and you had to farm the helm chests over and over, if it rolled a unique then boom = uber unique that you would have never gotten otherwise. They should be removed and the droprates should be fixed to be not so ridiculous.

Aside from fairness they had to irritate (potential lose) 142 people or many many more that are furious about situation and… again they choose wrong. Who makes this “logic” decisions?

Fairness?
Fairness?

seriously?

bug >>> game fairness >>> hotfix >>> no recycling

You know exactly what happened.
Then “hotfixed” it

Then you are not going to take back the gear that has been spawned from the “bug”
Of course I know recycling can complicate things
But that’s not something you can use as an excuse.

if you don’t recycle
then you shouldn’t fix it

It’s not fair to other players
And you guys think “it’s okay”

Hearthstone
World of Warcraft
Diablo

Over the past few years, people have fully seen your “arrogance”
Also wants the game to have “persistent income”

I did not gef one, don’t really give a sh1t, and couldn’t care less.

Some of y’all really need to go out and realize real life is probably more important than crying about an item on a video game. It’s literally beyond sorry.

Your inability to grasp the concept of fairness … well, it speaks volumes that no amount of text read online from anyone will ever penetrate your thought process and assist you with seeing the err in your way.

I’m truly sorry are stuck in this perpetual state (source: your previous posts, your baby-rage about the item color is adorable btw) where you are compelled to insult others who are upset, for whatever reason. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you but it is not your place or anyone else’s to minimize how others feel. You can disagree all you want; it changes nothing about the facts.

I can only assert your outburst are some form of self-validation or self-worth along the lines of “I showed them!” I urge you please seek some professional help.

I wish you the best on your path to becoming a better human.
Good luck! <3
