I had more fun with D3 at launch then I did D4. The thing is you keep talking about how these PAST games were crap and the company LEARNED HOW to fix them> So answer me this, why in the hell did they not put anything they learned in the last 15 years into this game?
and a heart full of love?
This right here. I enjoyed D3 and am enjoying D4. I may move slower through the game than those who want to run through to see how fast and have to itemize every piece of equipment. But when i do that it no longer becomes enjoyable and i have nothing better to do than moan and groan on the forums, which does nothing. So leave, “we” already have your money and still are enjoying “our” game.
Actually people forget these kind of things… if they wait a few years, Diablo 5 will sell even more
and mock anyone in game you see wearing the trash.
Tru. Even D3 skill tree was better, and with all the modifiers youd think youd be able to change attack element damage given the amount of them like in D3.
yes, but you already wrote it, they took our money, so? :)))
do you think they care now how many will play the game? they took the money already, so 0 players is OK, they already have our money.
Thats what the fat virgins said after d3 and DI. Guess what? D4 is blizzards fastest selling game ever. All these lonely uneducated doomsayers. Get a job srsly and stop using emotional reasoning.
They salvaged the game with 2.0. Rifts, greater rifts (a bit later on), and set gears to explode things with. Eliminated the AH (though I liked it), and rolled out a pretty good expansion and classes to go with it - the crusader and later the necromancer.
So, what would you do to improve it? This is just a promise of a sourpuss flouncing. This isnt constructive.
There are two sets of players that they want.
1- players that buy and quit in a month and will buy the expacs.
2 - players that buy from their shop.
Generally speaking, they are two different groups of people with a very very small overlap.
Most of the people complaining here, are probably those that might have been #2. But everyone who isn’t buying anything - battle passes / cosmetics - well…you’re a loss leader for blizz after the quarter of financials reports for the income generated from release.
It’s an aRPG, there is no fixing it.
Go to steam charts and look at PoE, set the concurrent graph to filter for All time. Look at 2018 and beyond. PoE is considered the “gold-standard” and they lose 85% of their player 6wks into a season. What was their solution. Run two titles (when PoE2 comes) concurrently with 6wk alternating season starts.
Everyone is whining about content. Last Epoch has tons of that and yet for an aRPG barely breaks the 1K peak concurrent.
Gotta say I can’t wait for all these grifter to just leave. Majority of people think it’s a great game and the retention numbers support that. So good riddance amd just leave instead of these self entitled posts that mean nothing.
I’m really interested in where do people get this data from.
Can you please post your source? I’m really curious in knowing how this game is doing outside of forum threads.
I can say for certain, i am not buying another blizzard product until after it’s been out awhile, and the official word from the community has been said. They have smashed every bit of trust with the playerbase this time, and it probably is because they know if the deal goes through with Microsoft, their out.
They F’ed item stat rolls since last update, i constantly get higher item power stuff with worse stats, it’s just killing my drive to want to play this game, enough that i’m ready to just do an oldschool modded D2 run, grim dawn, or jump to BG3.
Literally all there is to do from lvl 85 up, is run NMDs. Atop of that, it feels like they are constantly tweaking stats in some last ditch attempt to keep player numbers up as long as they can, it’s not fun anymore.
the sad thing is, the gold standard was D2, and D3 was so bad so many ways, POE took over, although ARPG open world stuff, there’s a lot of good stuff out there.
The problem is the current gaming consumers bounce game to game and as long as it wasn’t totally horrible and they got some play out of it, it’s just shuffled away.
The older gamers who loved blizzard for what blizzard was, still think blizzard is what was, but it just isn’t.
When morhaime left and kotick came…that blizzcon was the last one I went to. I also haven’t bought content since then…my daughter bought me d4 as father’s day gift…so…here i Am at the end game forums…roughly 2 months later (i refused to redeem the code, and a night of weakness about a month ago to play with my daughter, I redeemed it.)
My daughter quit 2 weeks later at level 70.
I am at 100, and starting rogue and if the stash is bad, I’m probably just going to quit when I spend more time sorting stash than playing.
They destroyed Hereos of the storm, haven’t invvested in starcraft enough to keep it relevant, screwed up d4, destroyed overwatch, you are all living diablo now.
Wow … well that’s slowly dying for a long time.
Hearthstone seems epic.
You absolute clown. Have fun when you are one of the last holdouts looking around wondering where everyone is and why the game is so deserted lol!
Using that analogy shouldn’t of D4 failed because of Immortal
I paid 99€ for that.
Totally waste my money!
Most of them have no clue blizzard exists, if it wasn’t for CoD being on a blizzard launcher now on pc itd be even less known.
And most don’t care for games like D4 or MMORPGs.
