We need addons on pc

Not gonna happen with Diablo…ever. (This isnt wow and they wont allow access to the code)

The only hope is for a Quality of Life patch from the Devs

Basicly most items are useless anyway, with that many stats I tend to look only on Item Power if I should make it legendary or not. So ye, it was always Salvage all items. But that’s already a thing. What is not a thing is to auto-throw away items that can be salvaged, or autovendor them. Auto-repair could be thing too. But mainly better UI of legendary vendor, extraction and imprinting together in one window, you put in two items and it will extrack one and apply to another etc.
Also potion vendor would show all potions he sells in a single window and only show your current HP potions with upgrade button and the next level HP potion etc. I did not even know the alchemist sells another potions too.
In addition, you can specify that you want to auto-sell all gems for example, or sell them with a single click of a button whatever…

Basically I wanna play a game that is not crippled because it is for consoles too. Yes, you can skip with holding ESC but not always. Also you must click every quest manually, most npc only gives you one quest so it clear what you want. This was in vanilla wow too that all vendors must be asked, someone made addon to autoclick that ask so vendor window opened immediatelly and ever since nobdy remembered that vendors had a line that read “I want to sell or buy items”. Also you couid see quest progress of nearby and party players. Also comparing both rings/weapons at once, not by pressing alt and checking which item is being compared. Hiding useless info from item tooltip as well as making the tooltip to look more like in D2 etc.

I can see how much my abilities can do dmg. I like to calculate how many hits I need maybe? It would make the game less arcade.

I never used WeakAuras in wow, Idk if anything ever was balanced around them, I doubt it but still: if you don’t want to use addons, don’t use them.

Not going to happen in a game with seasons.

Sorry but with a game that will have leaderboards and such, it just isn’t viable to don’t use them if you don’t want to…

Why would you suggest the worst thing ever? Be serious

That woudlnt require an add on though.

custom ui !!!

ah wow has no addons?? Because it has seasons

It’s not crippled, and none of the issues you have with it are because “consoles”.

This is a known bug and it’s going to be fixed.

Um… like how do you expect to pick up quests? Just magically have them go to your quest log? You’re meant to “interact” with the npc. They’re not just eye-candy, they’re part of the story. You’re meant to talk with them, ask them about stuff, get to know the lore, why they’re there etc…

They’ve done you a favor by highlighting the conversation piece that grants you a quest. They didn’t have to do that.

It’s cute how you’re comparing Diablo to WoW.

They’re completely different games and WoW was built with Addon support in to the base game.

Diablo has never supported addons, and it doesn’t need to.
The fact that someone came up with an addon to skip vendor chat (the bit that a lot of lore people actually like reading), and pick up quests automatically has absolutely nothing to do with Diablo or how the quests are handed out. You’re just wanting to be lazy and complaining that you can’t. Play the damn game.

In what? wow? No you couldn’t.
That was added as an addon in I think Wrath. And you had to pay for that addon until people starting sharing the data. It only became part of the core game in Legion or BFA.
Why is that important though? You don’t have 20 quests in your log that send you all over various continents and dungeons to collect things. You have a couple of side quests that you do within a few hundred yards of where you picked it up, solo.

Yeah, well, you can’t do this in any ARPG that I know of.
The reason being that if you click to equip something, how would it know which ring to replace? By using alt you can compare 1:1 and then equip in place of the one you’re comparing with. This also reduces UI clutter and makes it easier to see which one you’re comparing with / replacing.

Would it be nice to compare against both at the same time? sure… but this is not a console limitation or something that we had before D4.

I have no idea what you’re talking about here.

You “want” them to hide useless information? Or are you complaining that “useless” information is being hidden from you? why would that be a problem?

People have been going on and on about D3 sucking and wanting a remake of D2… So they’ve kind of given you the best of both worlds with an in-between using new tech, and the UI looks a LOT more like D2 than it did D3.

So what’s your issue here… you want it to look even MORE like D2? Why? what’s wrong with how it looks now? Or do you think it looks too much like D2? If so, why is THAT a problem?

You need to be more clear when you’re complaining about things. Clarify EXACTLY what you don’t like and why, otherwise nobody is going to take your seriously.

WoW is an mmo, although it should not have addons.

Nobody does it anyway.
That’s why we need addons, so we can play the game more how we want not how game forces us. Quests accepting was better even in Diablo 2, you click NPC and it started to talk and you got quest and can listen to the speech, or skip it, or read it quickly and then skip it. After you accept the quest, you could talk to NPC again to see gossip. And it was so much better, also there were only few NPCs in the camp so you can listen to every gossip. And you got one camp (very few npcs) per act.

In Diablo 3, storyline were told during gameplay. And it was cool, you can listen to it or skip it but i always listened anyway. And there were no gossip, just quests yes.

In Diablo 4, to accept quest you must click NPC then select the line with quest and after that you got a quest. If there are no other options, it bothers me that I must click the quest title to accept it like I did not click NPC because of the exclamation mark lol… And if there are other “gossip” options, I just ignore them like 90% community. Bcz there are just too many NPCs.

So yes, we need addons and since it started to be another Blizzard MMO, it only fits.

It is cute that ppl can’t accept that it started to be closer to Wow than to any previous Diablo. I don’t remember seeing other players in outer world and I don’t even remember having static open world, it was always randomly generated.

Pickup quests automatically is absolutely everything in Diablo universe. Just like I said, in D1-3, you clicked on NPC and that npc started to talk.
Funny thing is that in early wow you had to wait for npc to slowly write text of the quests before you accept it, they get rid of it immediatelly with instant quest text option and they even make you autoaccept starting zone quests. And ofc wow had addons since the beggining so players could fix what was wrong.

Because I can read the item name, that’s how i know with what it is being compared. And i can drag the item to the second ring item button myself. What we have now is crap and it is only because of consoles. Which is what i was talked about.

Lol, tell me how this thing applied to wow, players there are pretty much happy with addons, they should work here as well. Have you think perhaps that some of us might love a redo on interface for example?

give us a pc ui and pc systems and pc keyboard and mouse and not controller mobile game ui and layout and all looks like pc was not even given any time

You’re comparing a game that hasn’t come out yet, in 2023, that’s the 4th installation in the series that’s never had a customizable UI, with a completely different game that has nothing to do with this one in genre, name, fantasy or anything that was made ~20 years ago… And to boot, one that the devs wish they hadn’t provided addon support for because it’s a massive headache.

Just because WoW has it, doesn’t mean this game needs it. The UI is fine, aside from a few bugs/usage issues.

You don’t have anywhere near the amount of data being fed to you in Diablo as you do in WoW, even solo play in WoW… there’s a reason that game has addon support and that reason doesn’t apply to Diablo.

I suppose you think we should be able to fly around on dragons and have multiple talent specializations and guild banks and passenger mounts and such too right? because I mean, WoW has it, so Diablo must have it too yes?

agreed, addons would be cool. Those that say no can just not use them if they dont want to.

Nothing prevents anyone from using 3rd party tools and software… You could get banned, sure, but nothing nor noone is preventing its use :upside_down_face:

So basically you want a game to play how you want not how they designed it. Then design your own. Its fine the way it is

No thanks. Addons just make games worse. Want proof? Look at how terrible DBM and Weak Auras have made WoW.

what advantage do you have over others in a single player game?

i dont really need addons but Blizzard needs to fix some stuff

  • Lootfilter like in the old games
  • better visability of Elite, Champions and enemies in general
  • more zoom options
  • build saves
  • build export and imports like you now in the other game from blizzard
  • track of recipes

What a terible way to look at it. I can tell you right now im weating items with a ton less item power because they have ststs i use vs stats i dont.
