How can balance team make new season And did samé meta build for all classes?Blood wave fór necro again ??
Mighty throw -barb
Cataclysm - druid
Lighting Spear - sorc
Quiv volley - SB
Death trap- rogue
All Is old meta
How can they want season make Fun ,when we Have to make same builds .
Boss powers may play a roll in some of these builds that’ll be different (Maybe??).
Won’t know until you play the Season, right?
Boss Powers Will increasse ONLY dmg od this meta ,as Always every season
I’m not so sure what happens in tier-lists is a design objective of the dev team for now.
I do think we should be seeing underutilised capabilities and low outlier builds being upwardly mobile in greater volume than they have been. I hear what Charles said in the update, but I feel it’s a resourcing issue… meaning more hands on deck and a role with oversight across all the builds, capabilities and interactions - discussed elsewhere.
People need to start realizing that those ‘meta guides’ are not really meta, and they ALWAYS change in the first couple days of the season. To be fair, the maxroll team is doing a bare minimum in terms of theory crafting for d4.
“Play your way”. They conveniently forgot to mention if you want to see the best content and get the best gear you play what they want.
Season 8 is setting up to be another mediocre snorefest. Just like previous seasons. Seems to be a trend.
The forums will be real interesting in a few weeks.
They are in it for the money. That is a real indication of there not being enough interest in the content and there being more lucrative options for them to invest their time.
Season starts in a few days. We will find out the real deal here soon enough.
Nothing is stopping you from making a different build.
I wouldnt see this as a bad thing.
I recommend to not try to make sense of the balancing problems by giving the developers a pass with ‘this is flavor of the season strategy’. This was never a thing in Diablo 4. What we are witnessing from season to season is just the regular mishandling of balance that shifts the META (which is essentially a tier list of design problems).
If this tier list holds true then it might be because Season 8 handled new additions in a more sensible way than usual. Personally, I am good with that.
Why i Will play build which Is weak . People Will not play weak builds in leaderboards man
Off-meta doesn’t mean “weak” necessarily. I play off meta and expired meta builds and have gotten quite deep in pits and such.
Leaderboards are completely meaningless unless you play a top meta build because of the fact that progress is gated by build, not skill, so to your point, I appreciate that you feel bored if the same builds stay at the top, but personally I could not care less about leaderboards until some semblance of balance has introduced 3-4 (or more) viable, distinct meta builds per class.
As I suspect this will never happen, I will never care about leaderboards.
Honestly, since they are about build almost entirely they are realistically completely meaningless in every way.
What leaderboards? They don’t exist yet. And as far as everyone knows, they might never exist. They’re on the roadmap, but until it comes to pass, they’re 100% meaningless.
As for non-meta builds, you can indeed see 100% of content without them.
I have a Charge Barb in S7. It’s certainly not meta, rofl. Clears Pit120, without Earthquakes.
My wife has Ice Shards Sorc. Yup, not meta. Clears 108.
…so what’s your point? You only like to play #1 builds? I’d say you’re missing out.
Totally agree. How hard could it possibly be to look at the under performing/less used builds and buff those for variety sake?
Doing rankings Is ONLY Fun in this game for me.there Is no other Challenge here.making same build but with Challenge Is still way more fun ,then play some build for try.but i speaking about me of course. I want to tell that Is no so hard to Nerf meta builds And make couple new builds .
If your idea of fun is copypasting a build just to see if you can do something with it faster than someone else who has copypasted the same build, this is honestly probably the perfect game for you. Come back when leaderboards are actually in play and I almost guarantee the meta will have shifted by then.
Any “META” build tier list days before a season starts is theory only. If you rely on these to play, that’s your own fault for not knowing the class/build you wanna play.
I really like to play meta but hate copy all build .Always make something own or try different aspect or whatever . But still you Have to play same skill And want to play some new meta skills
I think that all builds should be about the same, like 2-3% from each other in viability and then it won’t matter what build we pick as they all are viable and we as players can experiment, which for some of us is the fun part of an ARPG.
But I also get that Blizzard wants to provide us with a reason (force us?) to use their Armory feature and so we can have one build that a boss killer, but sucks on everything else, and we can have a good pit build but sucks on other things and then we use their Armory etc.
Most builds are going to need to be a variant of the Meta to be competitive also. The performance gap isn’t a little either, it is huge. In my opinion the biggest issue is that stuff is ACTUALLY BUGGED and not working and you are obviously pushed toward certain playstyles because of the inherent power and that is the only way to get it.
I mean, Mighty Throw is obviously busted. Look at the Unique and Aspect for it lol.
How deep is quite deep, 35? Just kidding, but in all seriousness, I’m probably not going to play a build if I can’t get past at least 100 in the pit.
