Unable to cross platform play - I'm using PS5 playing D4 trying to play with PC user

I’m using a PS5 to play D4 and unable to cross play with user on PC.
I’ve enabled both cross play and network icons before the start of the character screen but upon entering the game, the cross network play is greyed out and cannot be enabled.
Hence unable to play with others on PCs

I am having this issue a second time now.PS5 console. Played for month and then advertisement for Playstation Plus shows up and I cannot invite friends. I started being able to invite again at the beginning of the holiday event now I cannot. No settings were changed at any time by me. Crossplatform is enabled .

I also have this problem, but unfortunately the developers are in no hurry to fix it
