PS5 - Issue with cross play been disable despite its active in the main menu (option / Game)

Precondition:

  1. Make sure the cross play toggle is active in option in the select character menu
  2. Make sure user have friend in the friend list that playing on other platform (PC , Xbox)

Reproduction:

  1. Select the character
  2. Enter the game
  3. Open Social tab
  4. Select the specific player that on other platform
  5. Try to invite the player

Actual Result:

  1. The invite button is disable
  2. When I open the setting menu to check if the cross play is active (it was disabled despite in the main menu it was active)

Excepted Result:

  1. The player should be able to invite other player to play with him if he had cross play active

Remark:
A few minutes before this issue happened , everything worked properly but i logged again to the game and then this happened and now im all alone in the game :frowning: can’t play with my friends nothing i feel very lonely :frowning:

A friend of mine and I both have this exact same problem.

I have this same problem, luckily I don’t have any friends from pc that I’m trying to play with but non the less I would like the option to encounter then in the world if I wanted to play cross play if need be. Luckily the log in issues and problems with network have been somewhat fixed but now this lol not a huge issue but still a issue none the less.

I have this exactly problem!! i can’t even play with my friends who have ps5. Does anyone have a solution??

Since the patch I’ve been experiencing this issue as well, also on PlayStation 5.

Enable crossplay in character select via Options
Start game
Open Options in game and navigate to Social tab

Expected behavior:

Crossplay enabled.

Actual behavior:

Crossplay is not enabled.

I have the exactly same problem. I can’t play with my dad. He has a ps5 and i PS4.

Old topic, i know, but also want to keep the trend up, this is a issue at the present moment, ps5 seems to be on an older version than pc version, cannot invite or receive invitation to party like this

Still a problem cannot connect at random times from ps5 to ps4

It’s 2025, and I’m still having this problem. This is ridiculous. I can’t even collect Red Dust in the PvP zone. If I log onto my PC, I can group up, and the PvP zones work. Wtf
