I agree. As it’s online, with multiple players - create multiple player scenarios.
I could see Helltides expanding or contracting based on number of players fighting back and capturing key “outposts”, closing portals, performing rituals, etc. - a multiplayer action that would require coordination and help. The only large rewards really coming in by performing those actions - reducing the “farming” aspect of a Helltide for the relatively small rewards.
Then, if it begins to expand, apply penalties on the area. Truly immerse the area as affected by the helltide expansion. If it’s beaten back successfully, any contribution could be tracked and those contributions could lead to large or even unique rewards.
It’s all there, for the making. There’s just so much potential there, but right now it’s just so boring. That and being on a timer is just strange. I mean truly. Either have it roll randomly and be exciting to find one (without crafting dependency materials) or don’t have them until it’s ready to be something worth while.

That sounds fun. I’d love some optional co-op stuff like that.
You sure do have a lot of posts on a forum about a game that you don’t even like. Maybe… idk… you could just go play something you do like? A lot of wasted energy imo.
the Truth is the Diablo 2 players are ruining this game with them trying to bring back diablo 2 … instead of realizing that the game is over 20 years old and many games have much more quality of life than they did back in the day.

If this game is so great, why does the loot system feel like it came 20 years before Diablo 2? Few uniques, no sets, no runes, etc.

Should get a tutor for that personal problem.
It doesn’t necessarily even have to include runes or uniques. They ruined things by having way too many useless legendary abilities with a few good ones sprinkled in. The uniques themselves are mostly bland with the good ones being limited to level 85 or higher with an astronomically low drop rate.

the game sucks but that’s mostly because the diablo 2 players keep wanting the game to go back in time.

Some I think this is an accurate statement of. Most I don’t think so.
Bingo. When people really want to like something they’ll keep rationalizing it for a while. Then they’ll drift away and play something else at some point.
You don’t need external motivators to replay a good game. People played D2 for years again and again with no big game changes, because it was fun to play it again.

You forgot the worst thing about the game, though. They made me kill Lilith…

Almost everything you said is wrong and just sounds like the game is too hard for you. Bye.
100% agree.
Game has no vision or direction.

Every mob basically being a ghost type because they can all spontaneously appear depending on dungeon is ridiculous, the dev team should be ashamed for being so lazy.
Funnily enough, just as they appear out of nowhere, they can also vanish out of nowhere. They get hit and simply vanish. No damage done, no loot dropped, occasionally bugged dungeon/event progress as a result.
Mid-way dungeon mobs still giving no exp or loot is amateur and bad, no redemption on that stupidity.
Wave events with exceedingly lacking mob counts and no actual challenge or reward for the amount of time wasted are frustratingly boring. The holdout alternatives are alright, albeit, slow to build to the fun bit.

Gotta admit even if what you say is true makes it sound like you’re just too into your own view of things
Pick the 10 things that are most bothersome and just write those things… What happened to people lately man, it’s like everyone saying things for the sake of saying…

Diablo is the new Assassins Creed.

I love when the objective is “slay all enemies” and then it reads “1” enemy left. And, I think, yeah, that really means 25 more enemies, because after I kill that “1” enemy 24 more are going to spawn.

True and real. The blizzard shills are out in full force today
