Trust Level 3 Forum permissions

Has anyone else here received Trust level 3 permissions on the forums yet? According to my profile page, there are already 142 posters here with TL3 permissions.

If you do have TL3, you can now post direct links and embed images into your forum posts.

For those of you who still want to post links, but do not yet have TL3, do the following:
  • Use the Preformatted text </> button in the toolbar to put links in your forum posts.

Also, if you are tired of typing “TwentyCharacters” when you are posting a short reply to someone, you can:

  • Type <twentycharacters> after your post. The characters between the <>'s will not show in your post as long as they do not start with digits.
  • You can also use one or more emojis since they count as text. This one counts as 21 chars. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:.

There are 2 ways to check your Trust Level status. You can go to this page, and see if you are in the list: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/g/trust_level_3?order=last_seen_at

Or, you can paste this link into your browser, and replace the “BattleTag-####” with your BattleTag in the URL below: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/u/BattleTag-####.json

If you have a section that says “trust_level_3”, then you have unlocked it. If not, then that section will be missing.

I made a thread for testing forum stuff here: Testing Thread

Here is a link to the requirements to obtain TL3, from the D3 forums and what it means. Yes, the requirements are ridiculous.

Very informative, thank you!

I’m not at T3 yet, but hoooooboy, that seems like a lot. Haha.

I takes a few hrs. I just went to the threads with the most posts, and scrolled through them while watching YouTube videos.

There is a small blue dot beside the timestamp of the post to indicate when it is considered “read” or not. You have to scroll at a rate where the dots disappear before you move onto the next post in order for them to be counted as read.

Below is an example of a short post that is less than 20 characters long.

“Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)”

You have 4127 comments.

I think you have scrolled enough threads

Yeah but if you’re silenced once, you lose trust level 3

That’s not true.

Been silenced several times on the wow forums, never lost the ability to post pictures and links

Hmm I don’t know, maybe it’s different there. But the guidelines always say on the Diablo forums that you can’t ever have been banned or whatever. Who knows. Tho it does seem to be temporary. I couldn’t post videos on the D2R forums even though I met every other criteria for quite some time. Pretty much because I would routinely and politely repeat that the character selection screen wasn’t a faithful master, etc etc

Well, i got silenced for a day for saying my necromancer is flat and i envy Sorc’s

So i guess i am out of the running for tier 3 as well.

I am now able to post links and pictures since the last time you and I interacted.
Not sure if that is 3. Mine says “regular”

Hopefully the grind for forum rep is more rewarding than the grind in D4.

So don’t do things that will get you silenced?
