There’s absolutely no reason not to put Training Dummies or Damage Logs in the game when the game is so clearly full of non-working/buggy interplay and mechanics and aspects. The way I find out Conceited Aspect isn’t working shouldn’t have to be from running it for a couple hours and things feeling off, it should have been something I could’ve checked in 2 minutes right outside of town and then written a bug report about. No excuse not to have this when the development team is completely unaware of what items/aspects/stats/etc are or are not working without end user testing.
Or you can just download OBS and record yourself attacking stuff in the open world.
You don’t even have to record, but it makes it easier to see numbers.
Do you understand how absolutely braindead this is to say when it should just be added into the game, like any competent developer would do?
“You should have the option to arrange your Paragon board points like you want before Submitting them to not pay extra per node to undo them.”
“UMMMM U CAN ACSKHUSLLLALLYLLLL GO TO D4PLANNER DOT BUILDER DOT BOARD SLASH BUILDER AND PLAN IT OUT FIRST”
Or they can just design the game in a way that isn’t babby’s first RPG Maker game so that it doesn’t rely on the user having to use third-party tools to get anything done in a way that isn’t detrimental as hell to QOL?
you cant blame them. it’s an emotional reaction. they can’t help it.
i agree there should be way more available testing and statistics, support for making builds, and general utility around class building. you can’t even clear all your paragon points because reverse tree traversal is way too hard for blizz.
Conceited does work. I’m sorry if you’re inept.
Lol, this reminds me of something.
There is a unique elite, that you could bug out, and effectively make it unkillable. Also there is a side quest that bugs out and turns invincible. Those worked pretty good for me to figure out rotations. But yeah it would be a quality of life feature to test things. I agree.
Target dummies often lead to unnecessary nerfs, specially now in the era of streamers and YouTube click baiters.
Conceited didn’t work for every barrier and every class, and was tested thoroughly and reported repeatedly.

Honestly no
Feel of power comes with experience, every new step is a challenge and a risk… Not dying necessarily comes with experience as well (when speaking of HC chars or whatever it is)
The only issue I have with the game as is is that both monster HP and weapon main DPS scale too fast… Would much rather have the secondary aspects scale more and main damage scale slower, that way we can have a nice impact of variety
Perhaps THEN a training dummy might work ?, maybe… This way as is really no need, instead of understanding targeted-impact on builds people will look for TDs to just maximize DPS output which late game is quite ridiculous already
“Not working with Temerity” =/= “not working”
how heavy are those goalposts
This would be fine if the interactions between items, their stats, conditional changes, etc., actually always worked as described and Blizzard never messed up anything ever in their entire development history, but since the QA on this game has clearly been lacking, leading to things like nonsensical Suppressor interactions, for example, and their own community is the one that has to playtest and report the problems between these items and abilities, yes, there needs to be a training dummy and a damage log, same as there is in World of Warcraft, for the exact same reason.
to be fair QA probably finds all this stuff and then the game director probably deems it “not a priority” and “not a shipping blocker”
If it’s not working anywhere it should, yes, it’s considered “not working,” brainlet.
“My car cuts out every time I go down a hill”
“Well, does it work on level roads?”
“Yeah”
“Sounds like the car works fine then idk”
Dummy, yes. Log, NO.
Logs would inevitably lead to DPS-meter elitism.
the barrier systems must be spaghetti that cant be factored into tons of effects. or some contractor used the base life instead of the calculated life by accident and no one noticed.
We need Gearscore functionality so I can permit people above a certain standard in my group.
I think you’re over-estimating the amount of team play that happens in this game, or how difficult that team play is to begin with. There is not a single situation currently in this game comparable to things like, say, WoW Raids, where someone lagging behind on DPS by a little bit will make or break any encounter, which is where that “DPS meter elitism” stems from. When we all melt world bosses in 6 seconds after a week at level 100 and optimizing gear/build, there’s no competitive element to spawn elitist attitudes about it IMO.
getting filtered by people who want good dps just means you need to get good anyway tbh
Same with Rage of Harrogath only proccing with specifically skill bleeds.
I had been running with this chest for a while and always feeling bad why my CDs still were so high.
So I recorded and tested and googled and yeah … great, does not work with Sword Expertise for example.
Lots of damage mechanics are broken, do not work, or work along different lanes than others. Some things double dip, others single dip when by similar logic they should double dip, etc. etc.
You cannot trust anything any tooltip says about anything.
