Indeed! This is my first season of trading. I’ve done so now on Eternal and seasonal and it has been profitable. I’ve also heard some really nice feedback.
Not sure I want to lose the semi-social aspect by getting an AH – however, I really don’t want to babysit my tradable items and look out for each IM from a third party site.
You were saying those that didn’t trade were disadvantaged. I’m saying it ultimately doesn’t matter, because to get ahead in trading you ultimately need to play the game. And who knows, you might end up finding the item you want, or you might end up finding the item someone else needs.
Oh no, here come the trading goblins. I knew this was inevitable! They don’t even want to play the game they just want to buy all the loot… SSF for the win!
Yeah I am actually playing the game. Not trolling others on the forums with nonsense.
You do not even play the game your 4000+ posts show that. So how would you even know?
we need something for trading. Trading via 3rd party sites or discords is bad.
And for minority who don’t want trading in the game - they just should make 2 types of leagues, with trade and without(kinda SSF based). SSf-like league should have smart-loot and increased drop rates. That’s basically all. And everyone will be happy.
Literally there is no minuses in it.
Which is factually a lot easier than finding only the item you need.
Hence, easier to gear with trading =>
Game got faster/easier
Blizzard lower droprates to compensate for faster gearing
Blizzard adjust difficulty of content to compensate for players having better gear
Trading, like all other game features in a game, will affect how other aspects of that game is designed.
Well, the minus in that is you just massively increased development costs, by splitting a significant part of the game into two different games, each needing their own balancing.
But you are right, it is a better solution than most. All solutions do have cons however.
So far only Last Epoch has tried this, and it is a commendable approach.
wdym? poe have official trade site pretty much close to auction house. It’s kinda easy to trade there. I’m ok if they make smthing like this.
It’s still thousands times better than posting screenshots and adding someone to your btag just to trade smthing.
It’s still external and you need to meet people tho right? It doesn’t get auto mailed to you in game for using it. Blizzard wouldn’t do this. They’d setup an in game auction house and that would mail items to you automatically. They’d also very likely balance the drops in the game around this so you’d potentially see even less.
I don’t like PoE’s trading system cause I don’t want to have to meet people in their hideout ever. I hate that idea, and I hate the idea of having to message players to get something I want and waiting when I know it’s already there. Especially if I need to know some lingo, or some special chat stuff, or whatever… I just don’t enjoy that.
But lots of people love that weird trading system in PoE so idk.
yeah right, but it’s still better than nothing. Personally i don’t mind if they implement even this kind of “external” trading, althought it’s not that external cuz it’s official site, all items are linked from your personal stash and etc. Yeah it’s not perfect, but you can trade mats, items and etc. What we have here now is nothing. Trade chat is dead. No lobbies and etc. If real auction house is hard to implement technically than please just give us this “external” solution.
Such a great idea, but the anti-trade people would cry when everyone was on that mode instead of their’s and they had no one to help with raids or world boss content. They don’t want to compromise they just don’t want you to have it. Its weird, churlish behavior.
