Another entry into improving open world!

Some good stuff in here!!!

1] Strongholds once conquered become a hub for events every week and reset along with gauntlet. Conquer the stronghold once and you can do the events each week!
A] Raid World Boss. Each Stronghold would house a raid event in open world. This is a sort of legion event combines with a stronghold themed world boss at the end. Uber chance as well.

B] Goblin Hoard Hunt. A Goblin hoard can be found by finding 3 clues in dungeons in the zone. Dungeons with a clue have a red goblin head shown on entrance. This the leads to a hoard of 7 goblins escorted by elites quest back near stronghold area. Get a party to take em all down before they escape!

C] Stronghold Empowered Shrine. This can be seen on map when it appears as a gold obelisk symbol. This shrine is very powerful. It has a 30 min duration. Shrine timers for different strongholds do not overlap so you can do all of them overtime. These shrines only work in a large radius around the stronghold they are found in. Shrines are random.
1] Treasure Hunter - 500% Gold find.
2] Artifact Hunter - 100% Magic find. Rare. The only way to gain magic find in D4.
3] Skilled - +6 all skills
4] Learned - 100% Bonus XP
5] Speedy - Max Movement Speed
6] Omnipotent - Very rare. All other shrine effects at once. Go crazy!

D] UBER Strongholds. Stronghold resets and can be completed at a higher difficulty for more rewards and xp and chance at large gold drops, stronghold chests, glyph orbs (Give a random glyph +1 level), and 1% Uber drop chance. This just keeps going up and up with a max of +12 difficulty in the final week. You do not need to complete this to do other stronghold things.

2] Cellars now use my cellar system. Cellars = New idea for cellars đź’© - #44 by Keyblade-6785

3] Events now use my event system. Events = Event Rarity Makes People Borat I am Excite! đź’–

4] Prime Quests. Prime Quests are quests with hard to fill requirements. These are like whispers in that you can repeat it over and over. Rerolling a prime quest takes gold and has a 4h timer. They also change every 8 hours. You can have 2 prime quests at a time.
Prime Quest Examples:
1] Dungeon Speedster - Finish a dungeon without dying in 2 min or less - Reward = 7 movement speed elixirs and random glyph xp
2] Goblin Close Call - Kill a goblin while he is portaling out - Reward = Chance for portal to Raided Vaults
3] I got it! - Defeat a world boss solo - Reward 2 uniques
4] You got a fren in me - Earn 25m gold selling items - Reward all vendors sell 1 more item permanently. This prime can only be completed 2 times.

5] Region Hatred. All regions now have a hatred meter that fills as players inside the zones kill monsters, complete events and quests, finish dungeons in that area ect. When the hate meter fills a new region world boss appears in conjunction with a legion type event to go with it with a crazy hoard of enemies.

6] Bandit Shrines. Bandit shrines come back and make a very rare appearance. These shrines when clicked spawn 6-12 treasure goblins with a moderate chance at a free duriel or andariel. An even more rare type of this shrine has gold text and is called Highwayman Shrine with even more spawns. (more goblins types should be added).

7] Friendly Zone Paths. All friendly zones now give the player max movement speed. No need to be moving at snails pace when no combat can start.

8] Socials improved. There is now a group finder for some outer map activities = PPL on same prime quest, goblin hunts, same uber stronghold, helltide farming, infernal helltide team, raid boss, seasonal activities, ect.

9] Rested bonus. More casual players can now look forward to the rested bonus. The rested bonus fills completely over 24h while your character is not logged it. It is not account wide but character wide so each character has its own rested bonus (encouraging alts).
The rested bonus provides 50% magic find, 100% gold find, and 25% bonus XP (10% if this is too high). The rested bonus when completely full will last for about 2 dungeons if fully cleared. The rested bonus is shown as a glowing blue bed in your buff bar with 3 ZZZs on it. Being defeated eliminates 25% of your rested bonus = IF you die 4 times you will no longer be rested.

10] Infernal Tide. 1 in 10 helltides spawn a regular helltide and an infernal helltide. You drop all cinders on death and any player can pick them up in an infernal helltide. PVP is auto enabled in all areas of the infernal helltide. Infernal helltides have enemies 8 levels higher and meteors can spawn infernal elites. Infernal elites have great rewards as world drops (anyone can pick it up) and will draw players to them (they flash on map) for these rewards making pvp more common. Items and cinders cannot be picked up that are contested. An item is contested if more than 1 player not in a team is within close range.

IDK, felt a bit too TLDR to me but here’s the overall catch

You’re just WAYY TOO MUCH into rewards… Like almost everything you mentioned was from a reward-first approach

Those things work temporarily, but ultimately become a bigger problem

The simpler way is to make Events give some Glyph XP and let NMDs drop some Uniques in return. And always viable idea - just expand some events into the gameplay (a couple/few construct events here & there for ex.)

The longer term could (and should) include more elite/special mobs in the OW that would give certain drops (mats, sygils, items, sockets, e.t.c.) that otherwise aren’t as reliable to find IMO

why do you always try to add ubers in to your suggestions. stop trying dilute ubers. they are supposed to be rare. every suggestion i see where someone includes and a chance to drop ubers, automatic no. some of your suggestions were decent but i cant back the thread as it is

Your opinion. I think ubers could be a bit more common. Especially as I think more will come eventually. 1% drop chance on 15 strongholds you can do 12 times (180 tries total) is not going to break the game or ubers. You get maybe 1 or 2 if you are faithful and do every uber stronghold on reset on every week. This could be changed to .5% as well and that makes it so u probably only get 1 uber for this entire feature.

Especially if they keep dupes in check as running duriel became much harder in s3 as the costs were what they should have been the entire time. Nobody was giving me free runs in S3 for duriel.

As always I will +1 for the creativity even if I don’t agree with everything. Let’s see what we got here.

1 - These events you speak of, what kind of timer would they have? Could a casual player reasonably join these events if say they only unlocked maybe half of the total strongholds around the world?

Shrine buff duration would cause problems for Gauntlets, or did they finally fix that?

Glyph orbs sound horrible in theory. Could easily see glyphs you would never use and blue glyphs just getting levels, wouldn’t feel good. Uber Unique chance doesn’t need to be in there. Just have it drop legendaries with the normal chance for uniques and Uber uniques in the open world.

2 and 3 are fine.

4 - You need objectives that can be feasible. Soloing a world boss while possible is unlikely unless it’s toward the end of a season, and even then. I don’t see Speedster working well for certain classes either. You would have to pick the shortest dungeon possible and just hope you get lucky.

5 - So the helltide meter but for open world, yea sure why not. Wouldn’t entice me to stick around in the open world mind you, but I wouldn’t mind it being there.

6 & 7 Sure.

8 - You may want to hold off on this suggestion… just saying.

9 - Don’t need, especially with the exp changes and the fact you can join Helltides in WT1 and 2 now, the exp is just crazy fast.

10 - How about just spawn a helltide in the pvp areas instead? Problem fixed. Don’t need PVP in normal helltides though.

I agree with most of these, and some would need some tweaks, overall not bad though.

You can do each stronghold event once per week per stronghold.

I agree blue glyphs should be removed from game. These orbs would only affect random rare glyphs or you could even say only glyphs you have equipped. Many options.

The primes are meant to be hard and then you reroll if you dont want to go for that particular big reward.

Rested could just be changed to gold and magic find then.

There are two helltides running when this happens so nobody is forced to PVP.

Great ideas, here are my breakdowns:

1] Strongholds once conquered become a hub for events every week and reset along with gauntlet. .Sound good, but what about the portals that you unlock? have to unlock them twice?

2 and 3 Too complicated
4 I like the idea of a more difficult quest or like a daily quest

5 Souns fun!

6 Too many goblins, rather have normal goblins that you kill could spawn a treause realm

7 & 8 they are OK

9 and 10 Don’t like those ideas. Why a bonus for being offline? They want us to be online!

I think something is missing that was there before, as if dozens of roasts cried out to be heard and were suddenly silenced. I had a feeling this would happen, but was hopeful lol.

Nice list. I always hope that whenever they implement, that it’s intuitive, fluid, and fun.
