Took 16 months to turn D4 into D3

Yea if it is turning into D3 like everyone says that means you’re only going to get one exspansion like D3 enjoy PS heres a fact for some casuals… D3 did not do a good job and tanked after the first expansion. The fact it even did slightly alright was because of there MMO WoW community. D3 was a WoW look alike that most diablo fans skipped believe it or not

What is the big deal with the torment levels?
Assuming they execute it properly and each level increase the difficulty of the game? Not only enemies stats but behavior and intelligence as well.

In the camp fire chat they addressed the concern of D3 torment levels, the moment you have your first set you can jump from torment 2 to 16. Turning everything in the middle to absolute.

Their goal is for the play to meet challenge outside of high Pit lvls, Hordes as well. By increasing globally the difficulty, in return the reward for the players is higher chances of finding good loot.

My employer payed me to learn to do my job. That’s the way it usually works. You don’t get a high profile job until you know what you are doing though.

The majority of you are misunderstanding my post. I don’t have a problem with D3. I played it for years and enjoyed it. The problem I have is INSTEAD of building on what they had they tried to reinvent the wheel and just ended up back in the same place trying to act like they are adding improvements. No, they are adding features that should have been here from day 1, if they would have taken what they had and improved upon it.

The problem isnt that is not PoE, the problem is the lack of vision and talent when designing the game. That can be seen in how they shuffled itemization and is just as stale as ever. PoE had a solid foundation wich is still in use after 10 years.

D3 is masterpiece. Reinventing wheel (D4) always leads to catastrophe.

There is definitely not going to be an increase in monster “intelligence” with difficulty levels. Every one will run the same AI patterns and have stats boosted.

It would be a lot of dev work to do anything else. Which they could probably afford, but won’t because it’s not enough return on investment to do something like that.

And with their track record of bugs you don’t want these guys trying to manage anything complex.

The Developers stated at the Camp Fire chat: There will be an increase in both stats, abilities and monsters AI behavior.

I don’t think they lie about it. Question is how big the impact/change in monster AI or behavior will be.

Honestly, no …not at all. If I didn’t like where it’s going to the point I’m complaining about it, I’d just end up playing something else and leave Diablo 4 alone.

The people upset are the same salty blokes that lead the devs to believe that a return to D2 was what people really wanted.

The numbers didn’t pan out. In fact, they showed quite the opposite.

Now those same guys are upset, and want a big course correction.
Aint happening. Been there did that. Not returning for fail #2.

What an ask. LOL, like hi shareholders, we completely failed and you didn’t make squat. Give us a round two at that.

Wake up bro.

They didn t fail because they try to emulate D2, what game did you played? From the get go the systems were basically a rehash of D3.
Nobody wanted D2 2.0 what we wanted was a game with a solid foundation, good itemization and interesting progression. Instead we got D3 2, a game where %90 of the content was useless for progression and you just did rifts all day.

Well, They are getting rune words lol… And a touch of D3 too! From what i read from the notes i think it could be interesting.

These are NOT runewords. These are construct stones from s3 nice try tho! Funny how alot of this forum always talked down on D2 and said this game wasnt for D2 players when the main selling point for there expansion is “runewords” which are NOT runewords but construct stones in disguise

They say RUNE on them what ever they do they are still runes.

Let’s say: “Low-Level Runeword-ish”. Maximum 2 sockets is a joke, but - to be honest - they are going at the right direction.

Yea bud have fun. These are the first arpg devs to have you playtest content in “seasons” to sell back in expansion… end of S2 we tried the glyph system. S3 Mercs and construct stones “runewords” hahaha enjoy bud. And guess what “bud” no one has time to reply to ignorance hahah enjoy your game

Since the new class, the runeword system and there might be some other stuff that im not aware of is locked behind the expansion i think youre statement here is false…
They really are forcing you to buy the expansion if you want to see the new stuff…also putting these crap cosmetics in pre orders so people cant refund them later is so scummy i just dont belive people still buy their garbage…
