đź’Ą Things not in season 1:

These things are 100% not in season 1:

  1. They aren’t going to remove vulnerable from the game
  2. They aren’t going to remove damage buckets
  3. They aren’t going to fix armor or resistances until S2
  4. No you can’t use anything from launch except your altars and limited renoun
  5. Sorc is not going to be buffed to do 10x damage and be invincible in combat
  6. There won’t be raids (this isn’t WOW sorry)
  7. There isn’t an entire expansion of content because it’s just a fresh server with a little extra content like every D3 season was. This is NOT an expansion.
  8. They are not going to overhaul classes
  9. The endgame is not drastically changing except new malignant tunnels. If you were expecting more you expect too much. Again this isn’t an expansion
  10. No new campaign or continuation of the story. Again, not an expansion.
  11. You aren’t getting runes (it’s not happening anytime soon if ever)
  12. No set items (again, not likely happening anytime remotely soon)
  13. No complete item overhaul like fixing all the uniques. This is likely not happening since the Devs said they don’t want uniques to define the best builds
  14. They aren’t overhauling skill trees a drastic amount. They may tweak them.
  15. You aren’t getting free uber uniques just because you want them
  16. They aren’t going to overhaul all the dungeons
  17. They aren’t making the game into D2R or D3 with the S1 release
  18. PVP is not going to be balanced
  19. No stowed weapons on character model
  20. They are not going to change “itemization” because you post vague complaint threads about how you don’t like it in D4 but can’t express why

I’ll remind you, the S1 patch is DONE. It’s fully cooked. It’s not changing drastically at this point. We may get some hotfixes or small patches.

It’s good to know what you aren’t getting with the S1 patch so you can make higher quality posts since you are fully informed now.

Thanks for listening.

You didn’t say we wouldn’t be able to hide stowed weapons on the character model so sounds good to me.

It’s all I want.

Check again there, I fixed it.

This is what I want. To not see stowed weapons. I hope you are right.

The list is what you are not getting. FYI.

Correct. I don’t think you understand what I want.

Well at this point looks like its time for you to move on they are not caving to your demands. Breaking up is ruff but lets not be that stalker ex that lingers. GL on your future endeavors. On your way out invite a newb and drop them your gold

I have mixed feelings about the possibility of set items being added to D4. Sets were great fun after the revamp of D3 - they provided a big boost in power. They also made some builds viable that weren’t previously. However, sets locked you into a specific build with little flexibility.

That was okay for D3 because the skills system was simple. With the much more complex skills/paragon systems in D4, I feel like sticking with the legendaries+uniques model will provide much greater build variety. Obviously the endgame builds are somewhat limited right now, but that can be fixed over time. On the other hand, sets could be a way to add more endgame viable builds if implemented properly (this is a big if).

I’m glad sets aren’t being added in season 1 because it’s just too soon. I’m on the fence about whether they would be good for the game or not - what do you guys think?

For some reason there all sacreds will have a lvl 60 cap and all ancestral will have an 80 cap? This was made for alts? Yay, I can get to 60 before any fun on an alt begins. Yay.

Aspects = Sets in disguise.

The cap is the maximum level requirement they can have, not a minimum. So if you have an ancestral drop at level 100 it will still have a required minimum level of 80 (currently it would be min lvl 100). This is actually an improvement.

Thanks for devsplaining. I think I had that part. And yes, it may help, but it still sux.

-No improvement on stash tabs or storage size
-No improvement on the ridiculous costs for respec and reroll
-No fix to the insane stuttering/memory leaks that high-end rigs are getting
-No fix to the poor itemization and loot scheme

PoE is a free game and in each league they bring 4 new skil 4 or more support skills, this season they brought 8 new bozes with a whole new passive system on weapons that basically completely changed the meta of the game enabling old builds and creating new ones . in addition to 4 new zones and a rotation in the more than 132 maps of the atlas, not counting new currency crafts and of course all the normal balance.
BUT a AAA game that costs USD$80~100 will have the league challenge PAID and don’t expect much like it was in D3…it worked out great for D3…

Did PoE have all that 7 weeks after the game was initially released?

Comparing D4 at 7 weeks after release with a game that’s been out for 9 years is not apples to apples.

This is what bothers me. Why has Diablo been turned into a fully live service game but it’s getting the same treatment as Diablo 3?

We’re getting all the added negatives of a live service (cash shop, paid battle pass, lag, aggressive and frequent balance changes, overly restrictive trading and more) and absolutely none of the positives, not even better community features.

When does the live service shift start benefiting us, the players?
