Hi,

The way to LVL 100 is too long and just boring :confused:
To do that with every char and every season, well I don’t know.

You have to think of something so that the players stay on the ball, is really boring :frowning:

Shhhh you cant say these words on the forums, before you know it all the white knights come here saying “It shouldnt be easy to get to 100” or “Most players wont get to 100, they arent supposed to”

They are just so invested in turning the ARPG into an MMO, but the best hope we have is the battle pass boosted XP making it not so slow

Yes, the used exploits to farm XP :confused:

Boots that you then have to buy again. It bores me so derb but at least want to bring my char to 100 :frowning:

EDIT: and the loot get worse and worse on endgame.

Devs in the last dev stream two days ago said they are addressing the xp rewards in an upcoming patch before season 1 for nightmare dungeons to make them more rewarding and more xp gained

Also they are adding a teleport to the dungeon so you don’t have to travel there for nightmare dungeons

I think most of us will agree with you. Nothing you said is wrong LOL. Current leveling up slog is insufferable probably to everybody.

And apart from the fact that the first season should come next month, is much too fast, many players then do not even come so far.

Why do people rush 100 ?
I mean i was steamrolling tier 4 at level 68 - not really needed to continue - now i just have fun trying different setups and messing around - Playing around with a thorns build with 12k+ thorns on my necro

ARPG’s are not made to reach max level before you play end game, its not an mmo.

Reaching 100 is not the goal. but to be fair D4 have nothing to do othern then grinding exp after Renown and thats its biggest problem.
im hoping they add something meningfull to the game in season 1 or else it dead to me and i prob wont come back for a few years when they hopefully have some meaningful content.

Maybe im spoiled from poe but i am willing to give D4 a try and some time since i know even poe had meager beginnings, but if they start to drive it more into the MMO rout then atleast im out.

Gear is not gated by level, gear tiers are tied to world tiers (only limitation is that WT4 gear requires lv 60 - to be equipped, not to drop, but that’s it). So basically the moment you enter WT4 there is nowhere to rush level wise if you are worried about not “getting top drops”.

No, it doesn’t.

I already play WT4 with Nightmare dungeons at level +48.

And by the way that you are immobilized in ND every 2 seconds in some way is just as annoying.

Well the goal is already to reach LVL 100 and kill the final boss before the char goes to nirvina on new season :smiley:

its not too long … in fact it is quick comparing to many other games …
problem is that process to get there is extremely boring and pointless making not worth it

Now imagine getting the achievement to level all classes to 100! That’s easily 800 hours of gameplay.

Yep, fast to other games but as you said to boring :smiley: Im sleeping half when playing.

Yes the achievement is for people without real life :smiley:

I think people forget that there will be seasonal activities and seasonal content. What we’re doing right now is just the base game. It is made to be built upon. So, if you’re bored now that’s fair, but this is not all we do every season.

i have 3 windforce UQ bows … lvl 85 windforce drop is way better then level 68
every lvl you are higher - stats on drops are higher …

however monster levels are also higher so in 95% of content you always stuck with monsters on same relation to you … lvl 60 or 80 equally difficult …
makes leveling not necessary really .
Ok you can do NM dng with bigger number …but is it worth it ?

No, it’s not, you have too small sample size. IP is random within bounds of item tier (normal, sacred, ancestral), friend got 819 IP scythe on lv 53 right after entering WT4. Only thing that changes is that with higher level enemies distribution of Tiers shifts more towards ancestral, but IP range within given tier is random and not affected by your level nor level of target.

At around target lv 115, drop rate is pretty much 100% ancestrals, doesn’t matter on your own level, however they can still roll with slightly sub 700 IP (which is where ancestral tier starts on the low end, highest sacred I found was IP 700, which can get pushed through upgrades past 725 breakpoint into top end stat range).

Right? Being there 100 lvls doesn’t mean we have to reach it because “that is the end of the game”. And statement like “it is so boring to reach lvl 100” or “I am almost sleeping during lvling to 100”? Wth? Why are these guys just don’t play something else? I start to feel like some of these players are almost angry there are achievements and max lvl and hard to find uniqs coz they HAVE TO reach/find them but it is not fun…

if thats true that make leveling even more pointless …
IDK … im at lvl 85 … atm have no motivation to go on …
Will see if season change things for the better … current state of the game is horrible

It’s not pointless, it’s simply long term progression. You are not suppose to grind levels, it’s simply something you get as passive bonus while you are grinding for gear. You can view anything you get XP wise as paragon levels in D3. Difference is they have cap so they CAN balance pinnacle bosses around certain power cap, which is great.
