Surprisingly, what i enjoyed the most is the paragon board. The more points i have, the more i enjoy spending time, thinking about some builds.
This is well done, but grinding xp in solo right now is so long after lvl 70, i will not even bother try to reach lvl 100 in season, and so will not enjoy the best part of this game for me
The concept of “get to the max level” to “start end game” is getting stale. Blizzard here is trying something different. Just slash monsters when it’s fun, and play other games when it’s not. D4 is designed around doing seasons and completing battle pass, which are not yet in game.
Forget about playing for paragon levels, once you enter WT4 you really do what you did in any previous game. Paragon points will come without you even noticing.
No matter how you look at it, it’s a matter of opinion, but the fact is that it’s boring, and you have time pressure because seasons always come quickly, then repeat the content (partially), which is even more boring.
Don’t get me wrong, the game has become really nice, but there are many facts that make it really boring.
Well, plus it is clearly designed around WT5 starting at LV80. Since majority of ppl aint there anyway, it’s fine they delayed that for first season, at least ppl are not getting overwhelmed (by look of forum, most of them would be).
i have no issues with levels or leveling in general …
Problem is that i dont see a point to grind same few things over and over again just to make same dng with same content just with different number attached …
Game is extremely user unfriendly , and its basically same few things repetitive over and over …
I did every season of D3 sinse released , I played diablo immortal having lot of fun for a year , about half of POE season where you can play 2 months to get 40/40 achievements doing 100 diferent intersting things in the process … there i also dont care about lvl 100 … i have one single 99 and most of seasons 97 or 98 … so 100 here is not a goal or issue for me also
Issue is that i have 0 motivation to play after 85 … i dont see anything worth it …
campaign and exploration first week was fun tho … endgame is crap
That’s entire point of Diablo franchise, hell aRPGs. You grind to get gear, that’s it. You shouldn’t feel pressure from reaching lv 100. The moment you enter WT4 all of your item grind can yield perfect result. They didn’t call it paragon levels for lols.
The RNG system is also a bit weird, for example if you have pentitent greaves that you only need for some reason, you get gear where “cold damage” is included that is not really necessary, so it pulls your stats for the new gear down somewhere and worthless.
Well that sounds like complaining about Frostburns having cold damage attached to them. You don’t “need” penitent greaves, you decide whether they fit your build or don’t. If not, you replace them with something that fits better.
i like to think we evolved from diablo 2 baal runs through the years
Seasons in diablo 3 at one point were fun and had some objectives … now its like 24h per season but ok …
Diablo immortal also ( lets not bring PTW concept again please ) have a lot of content and fun , social aspect , clans , shadow/immortal competition , PvP that is not that bad etc etc
This game atm is pure mindless grind … well ok , i dont see myself attached for long if stay that way ,., will see
We absolutely did! Which is why we now have tons of dungeons, helltides and massive overworld map, events - gambling to farm instead of one single dungeon with one boss to do 5k times in row and I thank blizz for that.
Btw I enjoyed PvP in immortal, faction system was indeed very ambitious and interesting. DIV PvP aint bad at all (unless you/your char/your gear suck). I would love to see some sort of battlefields.
People wanted Diablo to return to its roots, people bullied Blizzard over Diablo Immortal systems for what… like year? Calling it worst game in history of gaming. Blizz gave community what they wanted, D2 style of grind with considerably improvements to freedom of what you want to grind. Community: Surprise pikachu face.
Maybe people should have provide positive feedback on D:I asspects they liked? Shrug
People over and over keep saying what they don’t want. People should start focusing more on saying what they actually what, it’s way easier for Devs that way. I KNOW. People kept whining about how LFG ruined classic era of WoW, so how it is surprising it is not here? People kept whining about infinite paragon boards in D3, so guess what, no frakking infinite paragon progression. Only “do” was “make it more like D2” and they frakking did.
Not long enough apparently cause many already made it there
Here’s the thing guys, quality is one thing, quantity is another
Game needs quality, not a quantity fix… We need more affixes offered in itemization, more specialization in skills, more specialization in mobs, THAT will keep the game going on
The simplest fix to ease-up the “road to 100” ? - just buff bonus of WT3 from 100% to 150% or so… DONE, now the “tedious phase” between lvl50 and 66-70 is easier to “jump” (and perhaps between 35 and 50, something could be done there too but whatever, not as long)
But again, game needs more depth (not linear growth or stagnation against everything), better balance (keep Vulnerability on the level of Crit, and then buff Overpower and give us more LHs as an option), before anything else is done or added new stuff afterwards
i personally never complained about DI … PTW aspect was awful but game was great fun that enjoyed for a year , get many friends , lot of fun …
I quit because now it is too much daily staf you “must do” to keep up so become more work then fun …
Many of my friends from DI i saw here first week , interesting now in menu i see maybe one or two log in here , rest is back log in to DI :-/ that also say something …
My major issue with this game is QOL standard here that is really back in D2 times 20 years ago
i could make a list of 20 completely pointless things … example : walking to every dng every single time … etc etc … that should really be fixed …
game design is not bad and have potential … but gameplay is not fun … whatever blizz intentions were , not fun
I mean, before DIV release, during its development time where positive D:I feedback could have been considered for DIV design decisions. I am not sure I’ve seen any positive D:I before release. I doubt blizz seen any either. So too little too late. No one can be surprised they walked away from D:I concepts as far as they did.
There are so many things in DIV that are done so amazingly well, yet so little positive feedback about that on forum. Community is decaying into insufferable noise. Example btw:
Your opinion, I enjoy it a lot, I love the combat, how impactful it feels, I love build design. I like aspects and uniques, I like paragon board. This game is clearly more for me than it is for you, I am not trying to get PoE redesigned in my image either. Find what you like, play that. If this game is fundamentaly boring for you then I am afraid it simply wont ever sit well with you. Which is good for me I guess.
