The 27th annual DICE Awards were presented last night by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. While the winner of the top prize is no surprise Baulders Gate 3, it was another standout 2023 game that took home the most trophies.
Baldur’s Gate 3 took home the Game Of The Year award at the end of the night, as it overcame fellow nominees Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Go search any DICE awards and it is quite clear Diablo 4 did not receive the Game of the Year award.
Did Hogwart’s Legacy win anything? I feel like that game was snubbed and underappreciated…and I think it has to do with the JK Rowling nonsense, even though she wasn’t involved with its development or story.
BG3…I tried the free couple hours PS5 allows. Not for me. I didn’t like OS2 either, and it’s the same style, same developer. Glad it’s doing well though.
Agree to disagree then. I didn’t find it boring at all. Played through on multiple Houses. A lot of games, especially open world ones, I beat it and quit it. Just finished Fenyx Rising and ditched it without really digging into the DLC I paid for (the DLC was just a reskin of the main game).
The very first post by @Avalon specifically said Online Game of the Year, where as Exiled originally said GotY. I even mentioned in Avalon and Exiled post that it was Online GotY and gave the nominees for the category. We all know people don’t read though. Exiled’s post I can understand and he eventually changed his title, but Avalon’s hasn’t changed since he posted it.
Well D4 / buzzard shills will do anything to make their company look good, eventho the last 20 years they haven’t created a single good game. Must feel bad to be a buzzard fan.
Not that I’m defending blizzard here but what does that say about the people who bought the game, knowing Blizzard hasn’t made a single good game in 20 years? Can only post on these forums if you own a license for the game.
Hogwart’s Legacy didn’t win anything from anywhere. Same with Starfield and (mostly) Diablo 4.
Hogwart’s was however the best selling game of the year with 22 million copies sold and was the only non-Rockstar game to outsell Call of Duty in 14 years. So I’m sure they don’t care.
