even just after playing for 30 minutes my fps gets cuz in half and not just in diablo 4 but across all games on my pc if i restart pc its fine and before you white knights say "BuT 1ts YoUr Pc F4Lt just know this that blizzard have coded this game in the most craziest spaghetti coding i have ever seen for example if you are in town you are loading every players stash and their items in the stash and their paragon boards wich is why you get these crazy memory issues my friend even with this 24GB video memory got the same issue
Actually you are probably running into the issue of your virtual memory running out and you get an out of memory error.
There is no leak. I need that to get understood.
There IS a lot of memory use however, and yes, its messy. And if you have a larger amount of video memory (in your case, 24GB) it will use even more virtual memory as a result.
Fortunately, for some there is one working solution for memory problems. If you haven’t read it on a number of other threads already that is.
Go here, try using this solution:
-Diablo IV has run out of memory - #103 by DTMAce-1687
Otherwise, pull the latest Fenris log, copy the contents, use pastbin.com
to provide us a copy of the log to review and find the issue if it can be located.
i9 14900k
4070TI
64gb ram
I freeze 2~5 mins constantly, its unplayable
i run out of memory becuz how terribly coded is this game so its the games fault i am running out when i shouldnt
Not arguing that at all.
But there are things you can try to help it so you can play the game. Or you can wait till they fix it. Your choice… *shrug
I tried your solution to the problem and it didn’t bring any change. The game still crashes and always at different times with different situations. I had looked at bug logs at others and the client crashed many dll’s. Only Blizzard can solve the problem, as they had to solve it in the main game.
i looked your post about setting paging file size but for wich hard drive i set it for? all of them? for example my C one right next to it says “system managed” but to my F hard drive it says “none” same for my B hard drive “none” do i click on all of them set paging file and put 24576 in the minimum and recommended number? i got 16GB ram and 3070 btw i do not get any erorrs about memory or any crashes i am just getting lower fps much lower fps even if i just play d4 for 1 hour does this solution even helps me at all? thought its only about crashes
You just set it on the C: You are turning off the system managed and customizing it. Follow the steps as I listed them and you should be just fine.
Don’t set it on any other drive.
Then your problem may not be memory related. If you could post a copy of your last Fenris log from a crash, perhaps we can find a cause.
actually my main drive is F the C one is my small ssd 150GB where is only windows on it the F one is my 1TB ssd so i should put it on F right
Whichever SSD is faster use that one.
I there might be an issue with memory management somewhere =D
If you have read enough of my posts, you will know that I’m well aware of that.
The game has some pretty big memory usage issues. I don’t classify them as a leak, but its bad and can look like one on some setups.
My personal rig plays the game fine, but I can still see the memory usage and kerfuffle.
