No offline mode.
More surprise events (Butcher) coming.
They do not want to force people into things like raids.
They could expand the paragon board.
They need to considered all of the players not just the blasters.
They want more feedback on PvP.
They learned a lot from the beta.
Deferent teams are working on projects.
Adam could not give answers for the other teams.
Some of the people in chat were sarcastic PoE fanboys.
Did not address the cow level.
They will not do anything major with the skill tree.
Barb is OP (4 weapons) they want to adjust other classes.
It was a cool interview!
It jogged one of my life goals and it…well for now it hurts, but later I might grow from it!
That struck me as odd, seeing as how they haven’t mentioned PVP at all nearly since launch. Also they want more feedback on it? There’s been a handful on here with all sorts of ideas, but I guess they mean moving forward after the patch hits.
The rest basically just confirms things. Thank you for the tl;dr version Avalon.
Gooood.
Sigh.
As for PvP feedback: Spend as few resources on it as possible?
My guess - they want to add something in a token effort for the expansion so they can say they did something for PvP.
99% of the time when I go into the FoH I never see any of the PvP supporters.
One of the VoH leaks said that the expansion would have raids. Adam’s answerer about raids seem to indicate no raids. One of the reasons why I stopped playing Immortal was because I had to wait on others to join me so I could finished things. I hope they keep that play style out of D4.
You have to invite them to a party, so they can see where you’re located… oh wait.
Adam gave some good insight into things, and answers. I thought he did an awesome job.
People can add to the list I know I did not cover everything.
Confirmed that they’ll scale back the minion mastery passives on gear. Didn’t confirm which slots they’d appear in, but did say we would no longer see the 25+ total ranks we saw on the PTR.
That’s a win for me.
Was disappointed about the skill trees, but maybe we’ll see more creativity in tempering recipes or something.
Hearing him say he didnt want to force players into pvp because they would be missing out on rewards which have only been cosmetic, when they have a shop full of cosmetics that are hidden behind paywalls was interesting.
Then to see the next question about leveling glyphs, which is a fundamental part of building your characters, still being only in nightmare dungeons, forcing players into that content, was even more interesting!
He also said he isn’t involved in those teams
He did not say that about either of those things, that was about other content he is not involved in, he is definitely involved in both of those as the lead class designer.
I’m kinda nervous about Barbs. I want to play a Barb, but I fear they’ll nerf them again.
Probably go back to Rogue for the 3rd time. Rogues seem to be the most balanced, aka, nerf-resistant.
So D4 will continue sucking.
This is Blizzard, sir. They are notorious for gating things behind content they want good play statistics on. They spent a ton of development time on NMs and you WILL enjoy them. Or at a minimum, you will play them to level your glyphs, like it or not.
