Of course it’s not a minority. He posts the same crap on these threads insisting it’s credit card people or people who feel entitled lol. Feel entitled to what a fair shake?
People-please don’t spend real money on gold to buy items in this game, it’s very much not worth it.
But we do brick them. We brick them all the time. We brick so much they gave us more tempers soon. Say items did rare drop as 5/5 with no tempering. What feels worse? Destroying two 3GA 5/5 bad items you put nothing in or two 3 GA u got to drop and bricked? The clear answer is bricking the two 3 GA. Even though the outcome is the same the feels are different. That is why this system needs to change. Feel bads dont work. They never will. This system is doomed to fail.
Lot’s of Kuala Cope in here. System is as half assed FIVERR sub-con as anything else. This is not a multi million dollar game by any stretch of any imagination. Period. Go n Cope in a corner somewhere.
How did this go in development? Im just sittin here like who wouldve signed off on such horrible mechanic in a video game? Obviously someone that doesnt even play the game…like quite literally i really dont think the top devs play this game. I think they think of things that might work, have a round table discussion on it and then implement it in a season, see it really doesnt work and then rework it for next season and 3 months here and 3 months there we, the players, get screwed while the devs think everything is fine as long as you can still log into the game and just play it lol. Thats the benchmark for them. Is the game playable? Yes? Ok then thats the only goal right now…f me
We already had that last season and tempering/mw is far superior. It nice not needing a loot filter.
You destory nothing. You have a 3ga/5. Its an incomplete item. Once completed the items journy is done and it results in either an upgrade ot suboptimal item.
There are actual arpgs that destroy items when failing on there mw like system.
It wont matter. Even when they tighten the manuals ppl will still complain they didnt get what they wanted.
Tempering limits are here to stay as they explained. The loot hunt is only only engaging thing keeping a season from turning i to D3 seasonal weekend.
But you all have to admit, that 1 more roll per GA in combination with tightened manuals does make a difference in the possible outcome of an item journey.
Is an item with 3 out of 5 affixes good though? Tempering is just you identifying the last 2 affixes. Did you get what you want? if yes, then now its a good item. If no, it was never a good item.
Tempering is nothing more than a timewasting way to identify items. Cause thats what it essentially is. Dont look at items from the ground with 3 affixes as a finished item. And also dont look at tempering as a certainty to get what you want. Its all about expectations. But thats Blizzards fault for making people expect good outcomes all the time.
Playing from start of the season for at least 4 hrs a day I managed to get 3 good GA rings and I already bricked the two so I guess I still have a month to hunt lol
Theres a few straight up incorrect statements here, but the most obvious one:
I have nothing against diablo trade, cept some guys on there have egos like the ceo of boeing or wework (trash human beings, will leave it there).
Consider what RMT is and how buying/selling gold process is initiated by farmers via bots and trading and multi character resources on one profile storage.
Yes, it is something that the game design could address, there are multiple ways in fact.
Should they? Idk thats their design, cant speak to that cept to voice an opinion.
You didnt add anything, so its still nothing So I hope this will be your last too, because you are not as smart as you think ^^ I will try to explain it and i hope you can just read it very slowly… - Without bricking items, their itemization would not make sense. Without bricking - you would find the same items over and over again. (And the GA-Items are the chase.) To be honest: I dont know how that is not understandable. Their Drop-System is build on that fact. Utilizing 3 Affixes on items is the key part in this.
My main is Sorc, Professor Proving just that you want to write something fancy and try to be smart in front of the class. But try again if you want to, because i dont mind
See you in S5!
/edit - again somebody taking one sentence… whelp.
I already said they “could” do something about it, but the main part of the problem is not the design, its the people that always try to break systems. its not blizzards fault that there is rmt and the people sell stuff for unobtainable sums of money. But alright
Its been fun but i am done writing for people that are not in a forum for understanding facts or getting knowledge, but only to argue with people for a hobby.
People understand that. The loot hunt doesn’t exist because there is no loot to hunt. You can only get partial loot.
This is absolutely false. Maybe for the low effort people who don’t want to min/max. Even with infinite tempering rolls you would not have 3GA with proper affixes in every slot.
The people who buy items are the only ones who can have BIS gear. The system seems to encourage RMT. Seems to me someone who put in 100+ hours to find an item would be more upset then some one who will just buy another one.
RNG on the drop is fine. It is actually the prefrence. RNG through multiple systems for each item is annoying/frustrating. Once again the multiple levels has destroyed the loot hunt because you can only find partial gear.
It is already a seasonal weekend arcade smasher. There is no hope to get BIS gear in a season. Unless you use RMT. So you get you 1GA or maybe a few 2GA and beat whatever you can to 12/12 suboptimal loot and your done.
I got a 3 GA chest with +dark shroud, +resist all and +something else. Traded it right away for 10b gold. Got lucky on the same run and got a +malice and +exploit neck… it sold for 14b gold. Now I have plenty of gold and don’t worry about the small stuff anymore. Kind of refreshing in a certain way.
That’s the part I don’t get. Maybe these people are super lucky, or just play insane amounts or trade for everything, but even ignoring tempering there is no way any normal playing person has 3GAs with perfect masterworking in all slots in a short amount of time.
3GAs have to drop perfectly, they are a grind just for the base item and then you will have to redo the MW 25-50% of the time too.
Maybe these people get 1GA gear on one character and call it a season IDK, but as a normal player once you are looking for 2GAs or better tempering does not add any fun grind it is just a frustrating chore.
yea true I get that
it is quit demoralizing…there needs to be a balance between respecting our time/grind to keeping the game going. And keeping the game going by always bricking an item is not fun. You’re definitely right about that.
I think that tempering should be similar to rerolling…so when you’re tempering and you don’t get one that you need you can keep the one you have instead of HAVING to stick with what it gives you. That way even if you get a low roll on something you need you can keep it without completely bricking the item
Sadder than insulting strangers on the internet? I mean for all you know, my dog could have just died or could be in a hospice or something. Should I edit that last part out? It was granted a bit melodramatic.
