Hi!
I was very excited for the Nova Sorc auto iceshard cast build fr season 4. I wanted to perma teleport through helltide and reset the evade teleport cooldown by the passive ice shards flying to frozen enemies via “ice shards enchantment”. Now it seems like they changed it! Teleport evade is not reset with auto iceshards…
Is this a bug or did they just change it? It kind of destroys my farming plans for season 4. Please help

“attack reduce evade” cam be a gear affix?
I have 1.5 evade cooldown reset on attack on boots.
It just doesnt work with ice shards enchantment. But it did on the ptr!
Point 2 was in reference to the oculus as well. Since it has attacks reduce evade cooldown as an affix. When people used it in tandem with “attacks reduce evade cooldown inherent” boots and upgrading the oculus would also upgrade that stat itself. Gaining you an accumulative of around 2-3 seconds cooldown on your (attacks reduce evade cooldown) stat. In otherwords, gotta masterwork your gear to get that stat up higher because 1.5 seconds isn’t enough.
Unless you arent using oculus, in which case you will need to masterwork still, but prioritize evade cooldown.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they nerfed it on purpose just like they did with the Teleport enchantment no longer triggering Protection. That change didn’t make it into the patch notes either but has been widely noted both during the PTR and after the season began.
We’re not allowed to have cool interactions with our enchantments. No synergies for us!

Personally I think so, since they added in all the teleport cooldown and ability to get greater affixes on cooldown as well as the possibility to masterwork the affixes to a higher than normal range they probably assumed it would be too OP. Silly in my opinion, sorc is just plain too weak without seasonal powers and thats a big problem in my opinion.
If you are talking about the PTR ice nova sorc, that got significantly nerfed. Frost size is capped at 100, CDR got nerfed. Teleport enchantment also got nerfed in several ways at season launch, including an undocumented nerf not in patch notes. The pit is also significantly harder for basically any sorc build other than blizzard ice spikes. Any other build will be unable to kill bosses quickly with out significant investment in gear, and even then sorc still clears the pit much slower than the other classes (except druid)

Undocumented - Teleport enchantment no longer grants barrier with protection passive.

OMG, they created an issue for me ~~ but i have a reason to double crit evade cooldown and maximize cdr in general…so guess i have a farming goal with my helltide sorc…
The passive resets with ice shards enchantment would make Frostnova the most comfortable speedfarm build in any arpg. I dont wanna click so often except teleporting.
Hope they change it again.

The fastest speed farming you can do in helltides is spinning circles spamming incinerate at blood maiden event on repeat. Or really any build you want, farming blood maiden in 1 location not requiring any movement skills.
honesty I’m more mad about the undocumented nerf to the protection passive. teleport evade no longer grant barrier.
