Suggestion - 🔀 add pathfinding to paragon boards, it saves a lot of clicking

This great website offers a build planner for Paragon boards that allows you to activate multiple nodes at once:

Simply hold down the Shift key and it will suggest the shortest and most beneficial path from one of your currently active nodes to the one your mouse is hovering over. A final click will set each node on that path to active.

This feature eliminates excessive clicking, one of two major UI problems with the Paragon system: Resetting and adding nodes.

As far as I know, the devs want to add resetting individual boards, which is great. Why not also give players an equally great feature to do the opposite?
This here is just perfect, please consider it.

Problem with this is you don’t always want the shortest path. Depending on your class build and board your using. It sometime beneficial to take a slightly longer path to gain some more main stats, or other beneficial stats your build need.

I wouldn’t mine having a way to import a build we made on a planner.

The feature allows to take smaller steps, so it wouldnt be a problem. If the path does not fit, it is also still possible to adjust each node manually.

Blizzard really should look to how some of these planner sites do this shift-click, total agreement. Furthermore, look to MaxRoll on how you can deficit spend points and/or not require a contiguous path. Makes it much easier to implement changes, particularly in the middle of your paragon layout

This reminds me of the announced Respec-mode. Finally! I was very excited to make heavy use of it, only to find that Paragon boards were excluded, haha.
Paragon boards are literally the area that needed it the most. And since its introduction I have never used the Respec-mode even once.

There’s your problem. Unless you got a solution for controller, it ain’t happening until well over a year after you thought of it. That’s the rule apparently.

From a purely M+K perspective, this should be a trivial problem to solve. Holding Ctrl (or whatever) could let you to “pull” the nearest nodes in the direction of the pointer, reshaping the pathing. Kinda like a shaping tool in a paint app. Dealing with that godforsaken design would become so efficient it would be downright pleasant.

But we’re limited to controller special needs, bc if it can’t be done on a controller, the devs either aren’t allowed to invest resources into it, or they never thought of it in the first place (bc they all use controllers, I’m convinced of this).

I am pretty certain the devs dont know how to implement such a feature.

Shoulder buttons!

For anyone reading this, I recommend to try it out on the linked website. Click on Paragon, change the class (as Spirit Born is not yet implemented) and play around.

You can create an initial setup of 5 Paragon boards with Legendary Nodes and Glyph Sockets in less than a minute. It is awesome!
