Sorc nerfed to ground: datamine

We’ll find out what’s going to be like when we going to test this weekend

That hydra nerf seems pretty harsh at a glance. Though there were builds that just revolved around only using hydras and defensive abilities. I’m sure it was meant to be supplemental dps not a primary dps skill.

I posted a list with all the changes.

But yes, sorcerers are meant to be using builders and spenders.

It always has been

I’ll wait to try it out before I judge the nerfs. Hopefully they don’t feel as bad as they sound. I really hope their balancing strategy turns into small tweaks and not sledgehammer philosophy.

See the details here

Out of all the classes, the sorcerer was my preferred choice to play. (I didn’t play any of the OP builds.)
I fear that I might lose interest entirely now if it’s a chore class and the nerfs went too far.

Sooooo they nerfed everything but but the Barb…:man_facepalming: The one class I’m not playing for a Lonnnnnnnngggggggggggggg Time <_<

Most OP classes were always Druid and Barb according to the endgame beta testers. Necro was rated last.

Looks like a number of Sorcerer powers were improved, like Meteor.

Looks like endgame is still the same. Barb and Druid overshadowing everyone else as usual. Boooooring.

kinda strange they nerfed both twisting blades and frost blades cd reduction pretty hard, but letting the perma shout build in. I guess pre season 1 wil be dominated by barbs and druids.

They nerfed Druid’s abundance passive, from “basic skills generate 10% more spirit” to “6%” per rank.

They nerfed Wild Impulses from “15% more spirit cost for 30% more damage” at rank 3 to “9% more spirit cost for 15% more damage”.

      :rofl::rofl:

Blizzard really does always double down on bad design.
Go ahead…sacrifice half the leveling experience for half the builds of one class…in a game where you force ppl into seasons every 90 days.

(Yes, I heard that druid was “broken” at end game but that’s not the point OR how you fix this. Also companion druid endgame build still won’t work - like ppl said it didn’t in closed beta.)

That’s a little scary. Settled on a ice build that would be very reliant on cdr

Found the spread sheet.
Ice blades changed from 1/0.5 to 0.5/0.1
Even harsher than expected

Barb got obliterated too. Everything got huge nerfs. Maybe necro least of all. I’m thinking fire wall sorc is going to be the way to go now for server slam.

More and more I’m thinking I’ll pass on the server slam play through It’s not like I liked or wanted the Ashava Toenail cosmetic anyway… :man_facepalming:I didn’t like the way the Rogues skills worked so I was just gonna play the Sorc…But from the looks of things I might as well wait for the actual launch see if they’ve gotten the heads pulled out of unmentionable areas :man_facepalming:

Yeah weird that they would leave perma CD anything in. At maxish gear levels you should be able to achieve near perma CD levels with decent balance though. Well with how other games are typically balanced.

I won’t judge the changes till I can see for myself how it “feels”

Necro was overwhelmingly last on closed beta people’s tier lists.

To me this datamine made the event even more important because they made some colossal undocumented changes across the board. It made the event more important because the new data from the event may show them where they went too far. More importantly, because they’re less likely to make changes before launch, playing in the event will help our knowledge in determine what’s strong early game. A lot of what we thought is thrown completely out the window with these changes.

I do have to say, it also feels a bit scummy that they list a few balance changes in the feedback patch notes only for the biggest changes to be totally hidden.
