Yep it was a horrible launch day for me. Had my friend over with his PlayStation and same thing. We both purchased the mount so we could play after trying for two hours. Smells like a lawsuit
When d2 first came out I was new to computers and there was constant issues with hardware, software, isps, and Blizzard servers. I actually have them to thank for learning how to diagnose packet loss, programming (no comment on what I would have needed this for 
and forums). When things went wrong I was livid. I was working 12 hr days and could only play a few hours. I hope this gets fixed to your satisfaction. I am currently not playing this game either. My accounts are leveled and all the feedback I can give has been given.

This post was mis/disinformation, and it was a rumor that started on the Discord server. We had moderators actively telling players to please not do this. It was never mandatory to make a purchase to access the game, and the issue was addressed that same evening.

they have already sold everything they could and they know it, if they could they would turn off the servers (and look at the current state of laggy it is very close to that) now they will hide and just release content that should already be ready, the drop count to keep the whales that still pay for nonsense, this game has the same fate as D3

Incorrect. It was not the INTENTION to require players to make the purchase in order to play. However, due to blizzards incompetence, it was in fact the only working solution for those players to access the game at the time, regardless of how soon the problem was fixed later on.
You could have simply said this issue was addressed as soon as possible, or said nothing at all. You are making a very bad first impression.

Why should I have to join a discord server to get critical info during early release for a 90 dollar game? But the ārumorā let me log in. Plus Iām on ps5 so Iām not dual monitoring. The first place I look for information is the official Diablo forums and there were no bulletins posted

My brother plays on PlayStation. I can remember him having issue. He did not know about this and would have purchased the same item if it was the fix. I would hope that even if it was a rumor, Blizzard would do the correct thing for itās customers who followed bad advice. Blizzard knows we are all addicted and will do anything to play on opening day.

Yeah I went to twitter and there was no info for the fix either. Hilarious that discord is the official place for getting up to date info. What world am I living in right now smh

Screw that use Unreal 5 engine, Blizzard inhouse engines for the most part are simplistic piles of broken exploitable trash.
Itās actually really cool that youāre having exchanges here. Please please please keep doing so. That alone is so important. To put a human face on things so itās not so robotic. No teleprompters. Just talk to us! You rock.

Incorrect. I had the same issue, came across the post and made the smaller purchase I could find, $1.99 IIRC, and was allowed to login IMMEDIATELY after.

Representatives of Blizzard have to disavow all knowledge of this action since it has the potential to be litigious as in massive refunds just the cost of finding who is /was affected alone could cost a sizable amount of money which wouldnāt look good in a future quarterly shareholders meeting.
