Never count on uptime on launch day… never goes well. The heads up was posted 3 hours ago i think? so… i feel your frustration but… they’ll never give a ‘deadline’ when stuff goes wrong, it’s already gone wrong, and there’s no way to know how long to fix

35 minutes could be considered a small delay. But as the time goes on that “small” becomes less and less so.
It is insane how garbage modern blizzard is. What is “this evening”. that’s anything within the next 12 hours? And why does it matter if we all start at the same time? Nobody cares.

Why so angry? You are angry at the op for being a gamer. You are angry at Blizzard for something you can’t articulate. Obviously they found whatever issue this is through internal testing. Sure they caught this late but it will get released.
Also… as fast as this thread gets updated (3-5 ppl “replying” at a time, nonstop) they clearly rerouted some resources to the forum server. That might explain some things.

While I am disappointed in the delay, as I rushed home from work, rushed to cook and eat, and made sure I wouldn’t be bothered so I could play undisturbed…
…it’s just a video game.
I played WoW on release day 2004. I’ll take a short delay over a week of 30000 queues for 6 hours.

There’s no reason to shame people for their passions. People will cut their sleep to get on the road early for a camping trip, etc. But that’s more respectable? Silliness.

I tried to get on when it became free to play, but they switched to some weird log on. I couldn’t remember my accounts (I had 4. Two of them I was going to sell but never did). Now I can’t get on at all.
