Shroud of False Death does nothing for Transmogs

Many of the meta endgame builds often feature the Shroud of False Death, widely regarded as one of the strongest chestplates in the game. However, it comes with a significant downside: while some players might enjoy the novelty of being invisible, it creates challenges in multiplayer settings. I frequently play with friends who struggle to see me, and even I find it hard to track my own character or even see them.

With this in mind… what’s the point of investing in transmogs when your character spends most of the time invisible, appearing as little more than a grainy, transparent figure? On that note, I used to love running Tyrael’s Might before the release of VoH. Its combination of speed and durability was incredibly satisfying, but it pales in comparison to the Shroud’s power. I believe Tyrael’s Might needs a significant buff or should be adjusted to match the Shroud in strength.

Speaking of gear balance, some unique items feel underwhelming—take Lycander, for example. It’s little more than a spark. With only a handful of viable chestplates available, it begs the question: when will we finally see mythic-quality improved and balance out. What about mythic pants, gloves, and boots added to the game?

There’s nothing wrong or underpowered about Tyreal’s. The issue is that defense doesn’t win in this game. No matter how much you have, you’re still subject to caps and stacking debuffs. It’s why Tyreal’s isn’t utilized, whereas Shroud turns a defensive slot into an offensive one.

Even if Tyreal’s made you literally invulnerable, it still wouldn’t be used. You can’t finish Pits if your damage isn’t enough and you’re over the time limit. The choice becomes a no-brainer. It’s the same reason players overwhelmingly chose Harlequin Crest over anything else prior to Heir of Perdition.

This item does make cosmetic choices less relevant. Just like picking the druid hero.

Spear of Lycander needs to lose all resist and gain crit chance. Nobody wants all resists on a weapon.
