Yes, indeed, why do you have to click this button?
Why can’t it be click that button if you want to see all classes ?

I been playing video games for about 30 years. I’ve never complained about something so trivial and I’ve played a lot of games. It won’t bother me now and it won’t bother me in the future.
Yes! It is certainly not a priority but it feels just like an afterthought. Unpolished. Like they did not get the crafting UI finished yet. I did notice it yesterday and was annoyed. Just the whole need for a lot of extra non-intuitive steps for what should be a fun process of making cool gear for a build.
Again though, I would not class this as a priority compared to things like WT 3 Tree of whispers not giving XP (bug) or Sorc/Barb class issues.
Yuuuuuuup. The drop-down was a terrible change. People talk about this being low development priority, but they literally already spent development time between the last two patches making it worse than it was before.
And yet someone else talking about it is bothersome enough that you have to post about it several times.
I don’t understand people who come into threads like this and whine. Are you just white knighting or does it make you feel superior to come into threads like this and proclaim that it doesn’t bother you so it shouldn’t bother them? Is it so hard to accept that some things might bother other people more than they bother you? I’m sure there are things that bother you that don’t bother me for example, does that mean you’re a whiny baby too?
However trivial it may be, it is still a blemish in the game that any creator with a sense of pride would want to polish out. And quite frankly, it’s one of many such stupid little things that shouldn’t exist in the first place that were probably missed/overlooked in a quality pass.
Thanks for your reply and taking so much of your time to think about what I said have a great day
Agreed. It’s become very annoying.
Or why can’t it just remember the last state, box checked vs box unchecked.
It’s annoying for sure, I click it every time because, well, why wouldn’t you.
Totally agree with this one
Great suggestion!
Reminds me of ffxiv. They have this for almost every interaction. Its crazy!
You crying about this complaint is 10000% more annoying than the complaint could ever be. It’s legit. It’s a poor design that serves zero purpose. Why would a druid need to see rogue only aspects they can’t even use when searching for what they need? It should default to class only.
Agreed, its annoying.
This is the kind of 5 minute change (including testing) that most dev teams would be looking for when they are under pressure to improve usability
It is easy to implement, shows that you are making usability improvements and has almost no risk of unintended side effects
If you can come up with a list of 5 minute fixes for things that annoy your user base, just do them. Its quicker than explaining why you aren’t doing them.
Yeah, the fact that it 1) defaults to all classes and 2) the codex does not show either slots it can be imprinted on is extremely annoying. If they can show it on the ones you extract (with advanced tooltips on, at least), why not the codex too?
If you select the item you want to imprint before opening the codex on the imprint screen, then the codex will only show aspects that can go on that item. Same with Aspects in your inventory (the unusable ones will be blacked out). Of course, you probably already know that
The little icons across the top are basic categories (offensive, defensive, utility, and class specific, eg traps for rogues). They do tend to have certain slots attached to the categories but it doesn’t seem to be exact and there are slots that can take multiple categories.
Part of game design is ensuring the platform is intuitive.
This platform is not intuitive, by a long long shot…
Basically, the UI in this game is very unpolished. So many things are more clunky then they need be. Besides the aforementioned aspect interface, selling items needs a lock item and a sell all button, not a mark as junk button. Same with the blacksmith. The Materials tab needs it’s own button, not sharing it with the profile. Assigning skills, and let’s not forget the horrible paragon interface. Yeah, that really needs work. And many more. Having worked in a company where my boss was doing the UI and I was providing input, I have to tell you that software engineers(engineers in general, quite frankly), don’t think like the average person. A common phrase we had was “An interface only an engineer would love”. What makes sense to them hardly ever translates to a good experience for the rest of us. That is why we now have UX engineers. Sometimes these guys get hired late in the game, leave without finishing their assignments, or are just bad at what they do. Let’s hope this is the first one and improvements are being made as we speak.

They spent development time making the entire game worse than it was before, so, y’know. Pick our battles.
but its stupid to have lol - it doesnt make much sense to see Sorcerer only aspects on my Rogue.
The check box isnt needed XD
Dude it’s a horrible design. It’s the tip of the iceberg.
