Profane mindcages drop during WT3 and up I believe. Just activate it when you’re about to fight a helltide commander.
I did 9 events in one helltide that spawn a helltide commander while using a profane mindcage and still didnt get it.

Sounds like a bug, may want to report that in the bug forum.

Not bugged. just done it. you need 5 different commanders with mind cage.

they spawnd after the event then? i didnt see anythin after finishing events yet.

same here killed many of them and the update never changes from 0-1…After another 4-5 attempts i finaly got the 5th one.

Are you sure you’re killing the commanders? They are from the events where you kill 7 portals, the giant whirlwind thing etc. and have the same health bar as a boss
Also tried that… Its not counting
And you killed all 5 of the different bosses? So far I’ve done about 10 of them but only 3 variants of them
May I ask which event is it ? i dont even know which event and what are the commanders look like

same i think its bugged
keep in mind if you die with the cage buff up, it goes away. So if you come back when the commander is dead (aka you die and than he dies before you can pop your buff and hit it again - you dont get credit).
also back in s1 and maybe the beginning of s2 the helltide assasin (creepy bug thing) counted as a commander but later part of s2 and all of s3 the assassin was not a commander anymore
Does this all need to be done in the same helltide or can it be done over multiple?
Which are the 5 commanders? The ones I know of are Elias, Broll (the cannibal king dude from campaign), and Blood Bishop. Who are the other 2? Is it Tomb Lord and one more I can’t think of?
I know they spawn from the portal and big tornado events in helltide, just can’t remember the 5 commanders specifically.
Just finished this task, so for everyone who need it:
Elias, Brol, Blood Bishop, Curator - those are located in events - the tornado thing or cultists praying/portal spawning.
The fifth one is Kixxarth - spawns randomly on map during helltide.
You don’t need to do this during one helltide nor in the same world tier. I’ve done it partially on t3 and partially on t4 during at least 3 helltides.

I don’t think Kixxarth counts. I killed them in this order:
Delakzus
Nemnos
Zurden
Kixxarth
Cruxx
and got nothing. It wasn’t until Skeizal showed up in an event that I got credit for the objective
