- Season 4 still can’t search for passive names on the passive tree.
- Rares are completely useless.
- What’s the point of world bosses if they die in 2 seconds?
- You want us to spam bosses, so why do we have to leave the dungeon, reset it, and wait for another loading screen to spawn the boss? Why not just let us put our materials on the altar again?
- Just remove the horse from the game already because you obviously can’t fix it.
- Itemization is still bad. Why does my damage increase tenfold by changing one item? Why do we have to play completely broken skills to enjoy this game?
- Why can I level up so quickly in this game without touching a single mob? What kind of leveling progression is this?
- What’s the point of Helltides besides spawning bosses or being near them right now? Helltides span the whole continent, but they’re just empty because no one cares about anything besides the spawned bosses.
- Remove the “slay all monsters” objective already.
- Why aren’t Season of Construct dungeons in the game to provide an alternative to standard nightmare dungeons and save us from monotony?
- Nightmare dungeon layouts are already boring. Why are you limiting us with rotations? Why can’t we craft the sigil we want after some point?
- Why are you trying to convert this game into Diablo 3? Don’t you have more ideas than just boring Greater Rifts? Set items = Basically Aspects, Greater Rifts = Pits, Mastering is just upgrading legendary gems by finishing Greater Rifts, Big damage numbers just like D3. What’s next? Kanai’s Cube? There are many ARPGs to learn from. Even the failed ARPG game Wolcen has some ideas to offer, but you chose the D3 with better graphics option.
Agree with these.
The rest don’t bother me that much.
- Spiders should either have Poison or Cold, not both at the same time.
well i kinda agree on every point.
I think this one is contradictory with the helltides one, I mean to be able to do that will make you only run a fraction of the content and not the others because it is better.
I believe the helltides are ok because during the initial levelling phase it works well and you do multiple stuff on it, after that you might end up only interested in the boss, but at this point you are not looking for xp anymore and just items, so you are focusing on pushing pits and other tormented bosses.
One way would be for the helltide boss event to not drop cinders, but I am not convinced it is a big problem for now, in fact it is in an ok state. Maybe investing in adjusting other activities would be better.
- Why aren’t Season of Construct dungeons in the game to provide an alternative to standard nightmare dungeons and save us from monotony?
Really? Vaults were not an alternative to nmd, at least not in their final form. They were just common dungeons with simpler layouts. I would rather they invest into changing some nmd objectives (making it more kill all style, if you need two keys to open a door make it so that you can carry two to reduce backtracking, adds events and affixes that are more dynamic, etc.) and adding more bosses on it.
Also, now we have pits that could also make use of some more beefy systems than on the stages themselves.
Agree on most of them.
Here is my point:
-
Season 4 still can’t search for passive names on the passive tree. - Agree.
-
Rares are completely useless. - That is good, I dont want to look through a full inventory of rare items. Keep it as it is.
-
What’s the point of world bosses if they die in 2 seconds? - Agree.
-
You want us to spam bosses, so why do we have to leave the dungeon, reset it, and wait for another loading screen to spawn the boss? Why not just let us put our materials on the altar again? - The devs already said its because some technical issue. So it will probably never change.
-
Just remove the horse from the game already because you obviously can’t fix it. - No, horse is superb
-
Itemization is still bad. Why does my damage increase tenfold by changing one item? Why do we have to play completely broken skills to enjoy this game? - Y**ou dont, you can play whatever build you like. The game is so easy that you dont need a meta build. **
-
Why can I level up so quickly in this game without touching a single mob? What kind of leveling progression is this? - Agree, lower the exp.
-
What’s the point of Helltides besides spawning bosses or being near them right now? Helltides span the whole continent, but they’re just empty because no one cares about anything besides the spawned bosses. - Living steel!
-
Remove the “slay all monsters” objective already.
-
Why aren’t Season of Construct dungeons in the game to provide an alternative to standard nightmare dungeons and save us from monotony? - Agree
-
Nightmare dungeon layouts are already boring. Why are you limiting us with rotations? Why can’t we craft the sigil we want after some point? - No, better with rotations.
-
Why are you trying to convert this game into Diablo 3? Don’t you have more ideas than just boring Greater Rifts? my biggest negative is we still cant “bind” our “T” to any town of our choosing. (yes and the horse does suck - but id rather have a “T” bind than a reliable trick pony)
How are you treating your horses?
Mine is behaving fluelently! No more getting stuck at pebblerock, twitches etc. Can rush through barricades. Can even speed through town now!
I struggle because I feel like D4 doesn’t really know what it wants to do. It wants to be an “mmo like” game by having an open world with open helltides, world bosses, trade, etc.
But then there is no LFG method, running pits with more than 1 person punishes whoever didn’t open the pit, and trading/grouping feels so awful in its current form because half the time, someone has to log in/log out to even get it to work.
If you want people to group up for things, it needs serious work. If you don’t want people to group up for things, then don’t make it so certain things have to be done in a group (i.e. tormented duriel/andariel)
i guess poorly, I tried to install a kringle 3000 jet pack to it like in the elf movie but it just won’t zoom zoom. I love that we can gallop in town now until it for some reason randomly in different parts of town just goes slower than a normal walk.
I’m always finding all the hidden pebbles/walls in the out world, they should have an achivement, “Stuck again” run into 1,000 items to cancel your gallop early
I completely agree on this point.
here we have the danger of having a powerlevel equal to D3
I think it’s very difficult for us to have a good itemization in D4 because to do that they would have to review everything from magical items to uber unique ones. The materials are superfluous and the gold is just there to generate discussion about whether something is too expensive or not.
because people complain that they can’t reach lvl 100 with all 5 characters in 2 weeks of the season. If the “endgame” is linked to the need to be at lvl 100 to start doing it (just like in D3 but at lvl 70) leveling will be easy and quick.
They could use the dungeons to farm materials instead of us receiving everything in one place.
because it’s easier to maintain and that’s how current players are wanting the game. If they make a game where it’s more difficult to farm items, materials are a little more scarce and you need to farm them somewhere and there’s a little more complexity, many will say it’s a game for those who don’t have friends or family, wife or husband, social life, etc… but they will never admit that they want an easy game to play for a few hours and then abandon
not against but the current system works fine for me
and they should in the current itemization
agreed
YES!
a wet dream for sure
but never gonna happen bc of $$
the main culprid is the % based system
but i doubt they will ever change that to a numerical system
dont know about that, i play solo
im not really anoyed by that
there will always be a more efficient way to do something
i just wish they had a machanic that would make them forever charge at you once agroed
seasonal mechanics are usually added “back” to the game in the mid season update so lets see
my main problem is that the rotation of NMD isnt the same of whispers, why cant i lvl up my glyphs and farm whispers at the same time?
i just hope they dont push rifts here the same way they pushed in d3 by being better for everything
Guys, thanks for all of the answers and opinions. I have something on my mind about rares. What if they change “Legendary Aspects” to just “Aspects” and then change the current rares to magic? Uber Uniques would become Uniques, and the current normal Uniques would become Legendaries. That way, rares would remain useful, and we wouldn’t fill our equipped slots with oranges. Because currently, Legendaries don’t feel like Legendaries.
If they also remove multiplier damage modifiers from Aspects and generalize them instead of specifying them for specific skills, and leave them just on the tree or maybe Paragon, that could start to fix things.
sadly they can’t do this, cuz it would be obvios to everyone that this game are critically lacking in items.
Tbh they made aspects “legendary” just to hide it.
I remember when in the diablo 4 live before the launch they said.
We have created more than 100 dungeons for diablo 4.
Over 100 dungeons that are all the same, the only thing that changes is the position of the entrance.
the problem is the amount of rares we get
there is just too many
we would be back to the “staring at the inventory” meta
I have two suggestions for this, yours is even better as it is a significantly excellent transformation in itemization, these are mine:
-
Aspect drops in place of legendary items. The idea is not to do away with legendary items, but rather to reduce their drop chances so that they are a little rarer, transform rare items into the items we want to look for to transform into legendary - more or less as it was before - and the aspects that drop are in a separate tab in the inventory and we would take them to the occultist to extract them into the codex.
-
Add a random affix when we turn them into legendary in occultist. Sometimes we get some rare items with both perfect affixes (it happens) but it’s not a legendary, it doesn’t have all 3 affixes and so we just sell it. Why not give a rare item the chance to come exalted and even when we transform it into a legendary item, it can come with another exalted affix? Extremely low chances but could bring the item back to life.
NOTE: I still wish this could happen with magicians so we can have a more complete itemization, but I’ll stop here haha
I just read the entire thing, and I agree with every word. Our thoughts are basically the same.
Currently, the boredom of leveling is on the same tier as Lost Ark.
@GAlvares
Point 2 could definitely fix the current rares but might bring back the stash problems. Additionally, being able to check item tooltips on the ground would be necessary.
For some reason, they prefer the worst way in everything. WT1 - WT2 - WT3. Item drops don’t excite you because they are not ancestral items. After that, you look for 925s; if they are not 925, they’re useless, especially weapons. Now they’ve added Greater affixes. We always eliminate most of the game.
Why is a 3 perfect roll 875 item power weapon automatically worse than a 925 trash item? This is just bad game design.
yes, I see that to make something strong or useful in the game they need to make the others “unnecessary” or obsolete and then we fall into the same cycle as the previous game, just more and more power
