Rogue/Somewhat Barbarian "jack of all trades, master of none"

Rogue was the first class I got to 25 levels. Starter skills were moderate compared to a broken wizard one-shotting level 1 with “Arc Lash.” but this is not what the topic is about.

For me, having a bow slot and dagger slots on one skill set up felt weird because you were like forced to use bouth, have at least 1 ability for a bow or dagger, and fill the rest with either movement, defense, or spender. If you only spec for one bow or only melee, you may wonder why I have that ranged item slot or melee weapon slot.

I do understand that you can just put in that passive legendary power, but in my opinion, for a rogue, there should or could be a weapon switch button. It can be the same thing, with three slots, but if you want to play with a bow, you get a bow quiver and a third slot for a charm or bracelet, and something similar for daggers. What would be good about it? skill set switch would allow ranged and close combat to be seperate things and would make the class so much more and stronger.

Let’s face it, it felt weird to play a rogue or barbarian with skills tied to items, and you kind of want to use all of them, like run with swords but then use that giant axe, and if you did use all items and skills, the build was not performing at all and lacking all over the place, and if you used one type of skill, then what’s the point of those other items for passive legendaries to pile up dust?

Honestly I feel like you’re just making up problems.

You can do a bow only Rogue or a 2h only Barb as is just fine.

I like that daggers could improve long distance damage done, but i did feel like i needed to mix melee and range or i wouldnt be able to make the most of any skills or items

its worth remembering, this is only start game experiences. barbarian for instance, will get bonuses at higher levels for changes weapons a set number of times, and will have an extra legendary power from having his arsenal of weapons, even if he doesnt use all of them

you can also get defensive bonuses like shields or stunning effects for rogue when you evade, that you can help make distance put onto a not used dagger to help. like having 2 quivers instead on 1

Huh? You still get the stats, affixes and legendary effects of the weapons, you are imagining issues where there are none.

i think it isnt made clear in game, took me a while to notice until i saw a shadow skill activate that i didnt know would

wasted a lot of time throwing away daggers, thinking bonuses to distance damage were some kind of glitch lol. joys of a new game right? will be using the 2 months between demo and release to try and learn more about new dynamics etc
