Restless Rot Grind

How is everyone getting enough Restless Rot to make legendary gems and to upgrade their powers?

Rootholds and Headhunts with the seasonal potion up seem to reward maybe 2k rot an hour for me, does anyone have any tips on Restless Rot farming?

I’m not even finding the heads. I’ve been farming witch tides in torment 4 with a whisper elixir and I’ve only gotten one. I need four to make one legendary gem.

I still need to do a bit more “testing” but so far I’m averaging around 1000 rot per 20 minutes or so. I’m on T4, have the +40% Urn of Rot. If you have a strong build the Cleansing Pyres in the Witchtide zones seem to be a good source of rot, as they continually spawn enemies, if you kill fast enough (instant kill basically), and a lot of them seem to drop 1-7 rot. I do those (maybe find like 3 per zone), all of the whisper objectives, and then maybe ~5 cocoons, and so far have been fairly consistently getting 1000+ rot each time.

I heard the head drop its 4% , so you gonna be a while looking for it.

If thats true, they need to boost it because the grind will be abysmal

Seasonal grind for restless rot is is just too demanding - Dev’s need to decide if this is a casual ARPG or a grindy one. 3 hrs to max level, but 1000’s of hours to complete seasonal stuff is just so inconsistent.

To be honest I’d prefer if the XP required to go 1-60 was doubled and the Rot required for everything was halved.

Ya I’m basically stuck on my season journey at the part where I need to level 10 powers to 20 and craft 10 occult gems.

I’m t4 with like 30 hours played and I have 3 tier 1 occult gems and only 5 powers to level 10.

For me, the craft 10 occult gems objective was way faster than the other two, because you don’t need rot for the yellow/legendary gems.

Hotfix just dropped increasing restless rot drop amounts. Apparently they noticed people weren’t leveling witch powers fast enough.

well, it is grindy, but honestly, im kinda glad about that. i mean the season is REALLY fast so far. i think its good that some content is locked behind something time consuming.

2k is pretty solid. You only need what? 1500 to fully max a power? They’re cheap.

Even the gems aren’t bad at 1k each, considering their power and the rarity of heads.

I’m at just 13 hours played this Season, and have 2 powers maxed, and 1 gem made. At about 800 rot, working up to gem #2.

dont forget you can use rot to also purchase ranks for the seasonal renown

Yeah, for my alts! Rotty rep = fast sparks later.

At least it won’t sit there… and rot.

I’ll see myself out.

yep, thats what ill do too ^^

I’m actually disappointed with the Rot increase. It was going to be something to do for the next week. And I feel like I haven’t played much (as compared to full time no-lifers). I’m at 13 hours over 3 days.

Now? Probably done in two days with max witch powers.

Players keep complaining about “not enough to do”, then also complain that any semi long term task should get shortened.

you know where i stand. while i enjoy the season itself, i think its ridiculous how fast things became. i mean i was lvl 60 on day 1, without even try harding, as i obviously also hang around here.

Blizzard: “if we make the grind really long and take forever people will play the season longer”

Everyone: “it’s a bold strategy Cotton…”

I didn’t think it was long, though. 13 hours in, I’ve got 2 max powers, 1 gem, and almost a second.

Oh - and I’ve got two Mythics (both Selig). A few more runes, and I’ll craft one I actually want.

13 hours. That’s really nothing for what is supposed to be a 3 month season. Even a 1 month season is a stretch (imo) at this point.

It’s no wonder posters are saying streamers (that played probably 40 hours by now) are done. 4x my own playtime, and I’ll be complete as well.

worst thing is, it appears to become faster with every season. S7 has a lot of potential, as i said, i enjoy the theme. Bug it feel like everything is handed to me. god, i even sit on max aspects already. While i think adjustments to aspects were needed compared to s6, i feel like they overdid it.

Gimme some of those aspects!
