Reset dungeon button gone!

this is soooo dumb…

Most people prefer to play solo. After all the massive quanity of players who asked for a solo mode, all blizzard though was force online, force multiplayer and now they kinda force group…

instead of being smart and just adding a penalty for doing the same dungeon within a certain time

Keep the dungeon reset button there, but have it give a x% less drops or x% stronger monsters or x% less damage dealt penalty for the next 5min

This would instead encourage people to explore and/or have healither gameplay habit

Why even have a punishment in place? That is just bad design. If people are not running a dungeon to the end, it is because it isn’t worth doing. Make running a dungeon to the end, and people will do it.

Why would people even want to spam specific dungeons like this is D2 ??? Same people would complain after 2 months that the game is bad and lacks content :man_shrugging:t2:

I don’t think there is any want for it, it’s more a hope they don’t make running the same dungeon a necessity; Which leads to the premature “anxiety” over gating it to begin with. E.g. Making specific drops like uniques from very specific dungeons.

There is also the efficiency reasons, material/gold/xp farming etc.

That is simply not true + there are variables on what type of game and what instances within said game.

Generally, people have a preference for comfort and this includes many things, not just “video games” but there are competitive focused video games and immersive focused video games. Generally, most people, especially those who get a bit disorientated from others talking and/or have levels of social anxiety, prefer to play or watch a new any new experience, competitive or immersive solo, so they can properly get acquainted with how everything works and the “figuring out” is rather pleasent relaxation.

So after a game is not new then what is it, is it a very immersive experience, almost like a movie (Last of Us/Resident Evil games) or does it contain progression, strategy and perhaps more, competitive aspects. If over 50% of Diablo 4 is not an immersive, role playing experience, then it relies on things such as multiplayer for longetivity, not ofc counting people who are entirely satisified with their own enclosed achievements and those who have defeated themselves via work and/or marriage that they can’t find more than an hour for their favourite hobbies.

I’m apposed to any game or genre that rewards players for over grinding but if an aspect is rather addictive and ticks all the pleasure boxes inside someone it would be stupid for Blizzard to not run with it. Also Diablo 4 is not a mobile game so if peoples favourite addictions are kept within the home that could discourage mobile phone gaming addcition.
“Healthier gameplay habits” though, that is quite something, that is suggesting exploration and game developer made immersive elements are enriching to the mind. Keeping your mind busy via consistently being optimal in a game is certainly an element of brain training, either way, “exploring” or continuenly repeating dungeons all day, you’re sitting in a chair most of the day.

The repeat button existing in such a manner like you said, with less drops would just make things anti fun. To think you’d rather people mindlessly explore or grind dungeons more instead of just testing themselves and doing natural things, such as INTERACTING WITH OTHERS …

Look up the studies on the topic. most people like to play solo or games with almost 0 interaction like the vast majority of mobile games.
