Remove account bound

Please consider removing account bound items as a concept completely. (Except cosmetic items) and allow full free trade. The game has zero economy right now. It might as well be a single player offline game.

Id love this too my friend.

Sadly, they wont pay for customer service agents to police the bots. Because of this… they would rather disincentivize players to play and trade than to fork out any money to maintain their game.

If you have played WoW at all you will see this is true.

The players there pay $15 bucks a month and the chats/dungeon finders are FULL of bots

Sadly you are better off spending your money elsewhwere. PoE2 will be the game you should look for my friend.

No economy is the new way to play. No economy, no RMT. Fair play for all.

Hugely unpopular opinion, but I’d love to see this in Wow. Especially for all crafted items. It’s ludicrous that you can craft something there and not be able to sell it.

No D2JSP or Player Auctions for you.

““No D2JSP or Player Auctions for you.””

The players created D2JSP to provide a place where players could trade for years. It could have been put into the game by the developers but at the time they were busy making good games.

This site is one of the reasons people still play Diabo 2 To this day… you can not justify removing things that help players enjoy the product they play.

Your only argument, if you think about it. Is how you wish you had enough skill and time to get items worthy of forum gold, so you too might make a fun character.

I’ll say the same thing I say every time this comes up.

ADD SELF FOUND MODE AND TRADE MODE. LET THE PLAYERS CHOOSE HOW THEY PLAY.

It’s not a new concept, other games do it. Blizzard is just 10 years behind.

“Forum gold”

Such a nice euphemism for your wanting to use a game to make real money. At least you guys don’t even try to hide your “wahhh give us free trade” reasons anymore. Not that the “please sir, I just want to trade with my friends sir” really ever fooled anyone.

NO!

Would love to be able to trade even legs with my friends. But havint the possibility to trade such items would make the game much worse than it would benefit. We have already big enough issues with gold seller spam accounts.

You can already trade rares, I think it’s a good tradeoff.

Would rather see the level requirements on gear normalized so I can send gear from my main to a lower geared alt.

Because having everything locked down stopped RMT?

Okay, sure buddy.

Way to punch that strawman.

The economy is half the fun of modern arpgs.
RMT is always going to be an issue. They’ll buy boosts and accounts.
That doesn’t mean you should ruin the player community experience to avoid dealing with a potential issue.

It’s also a lazy developer excuse because they don’t want to deal with the botting problem.
They hold off on ban waves long enough to accumulate evidence against the accounts and avoid chargebacks.

At the end of the day, a bot is still +70$ to Blizzard.

Why do they have account-bound/LvL bound//LvL req. for items in an ARPG. The whole point is to slash and gash get fat lootz and share that lootz with your alts. You can’t use any of the account bound uniques because they all require level 100. Activision - Blizzard FTW.

See… this shows how dumb you are.

Dont talk about things you know nothing about.

I have NEVER sold/bought anything for money. No skins… no loot. I play games for fun.

Trading should be a feature. Not a bug. D2jsp allows me to find a Ber rune in season 1… and trade it immediately for a “fake currency” that doesnt go away. I can then trade that currency for a Shako in season 3…

This makes the community better. It allows players to communicate in game, make new friends and enjoy the game on a higher level.

The part you are arguing against is the side where players create bots to farm the games and then use their findings to sell for “USD or its equivalent”.

The issue here is that the market sets the demand. If you have a good game… with millions of players, you create a need. This need is then filled by other players.
The correct way to fix this is to POLICE your game. Finding an account that played for 9 hours and now has a Shako and 36 Billion gold isnt hard to do.
They told us the EXACT number of Shakos that dropped during their bugged helltide.

Now… if one of those shakos appeared on my account… after 2 hours with no ingame method of trading… those two accounts could be banned pretty easily.

But that would require support staff that got paid to do it. Blizzard has taken the San Francisco Model. DEFUND the police! So now you are dealing with the ramifications of no police.

This is not good design. Its inefficient leadership.

Definitely not. We don’t need people unfairly getting items they themselves didn’t commit to finding.

This is called “Solo self found”

Its a game mode that could be toggled on and off. If the developers wanted to make a good game.
