Wudijo death trap/tb for rogues is pretty spot on imo.
rofl i always laugh when people like you always come in trying to talk about min maxing and optimal efficient builds. the true joy in a game is coming up with your own builds and solutions to problems. Those builds are just templates! They aren’t the end-all-be-all builds of the game! explore and discover things on your own don’t just do what they tell you to do. I’m enjoying my lvl 63 barbarian using upheavel and have been enjoying all the fights. Importing an ‘s tier’ build would only trivialize the game. Why not go play a mobile game if all you want to do is just click and collect free rewards? You’re half the reason why blizzard has lost it’s magic because now they try and cater to the streamers and the ‘best’ players that play 10 hours a day at ‘high efficiency’ instead of the people who truly LOVE and ENJOY the game!
Hello famous multi rank 1 mage here , although yliche is just a random player who is not famous like my fellow furious gladiator jurgwena , i second what he has to say and know that yliche performs at top level in games he takes serious hes better than most big streamers but he has some gnarly bowel movements that keep him from being able to sit down for long hours at a time and bond with his viewers so he doesnt stream, but if he did he would show you guys how a game is supposed to be played, arena junkies and ruin legend outties, please keep all fan comments to yourself this is yliches time to shine dont make it all about me thx
Icyveins is better imo. They’ve been doing it for years. I never heard of Maxroll until these forums existed. A couple builds I tried felt sub par imo.
*Still…they(IV) do slack on making changes in WoW when it came to M+ metas in WoW. There is a theory that they do it on purpose for various reasons.
Icy Veins definitely isn’t better. Maxroll’s builds may not always be optimal, but they will generally get you as far in the game as you would like to go. On a side by side comparison, I can see a lot more flaws in what IV posts than what Maxroll does. IV’s necro guides, for example, are honestly pretty garbage. Even their variations of the meta builds are weaker than the standard versions.
Ideally, people should be experimenting to find what works best for them. It’s fine to use what someone else wrote as a base, but you’ll nearly always get better performance out of something you find enjoyable, that you’ve tailored to your own tastes and specifications. The problem is how expensive respecs get. There comes a point where experimenting just isn’t viable for most players.
I’ll have to check out other classes. You’re right though, especially this early in the game.
Damn you are a legend, I remember you. All around best mage in the world during wrath, crazy bro.
Wow a real celebrity.
yeah i dont even know u but thanks @holybot
Is that Riverashoz from BG-ruin, a multi rank 1 gladiator player and CAL/CPL CS 1.6 LAN player? Can’t believe a legend like you is making an appearance! Yliche must be a real top dog rank 1 player for you to be posting for him.
damn is that brutal gladiator gawdz from ruin crazy d4 bringing back all the legends, still dont know who holybot is do u remember him???
who??? holybot must be a real no name if the famous rank 1 top dogs don’t remember him
I knew I wanted to run cold so that’s what I aimed to do. As gear started getting better I stacked bonus damage to chilled, crowd controlled, and frozen. Ice Bolt is my basic skill. I run Hydra because when enchanted it can proc Frost Nova, and it procs it on the mob itself so it’s really good. Especially with the bonus damage I have against frozen targets. Frost Nova I use to freeze packs or to freeze things and get the hell out of dodge.
Frozen Orb is next. I run it for two reasons. One is the aspect which makes it pulse twice after it explodes. If things are frozen it deletes their health bar in a hurry. It also deals really good damage if you can time it so the explosion and pulses all hit. I enchanted it also because there’s a chance on every non basic skill cast to launch one for free.
Last but not least is Deep Freeze. Depending on the situation I use it to clear a huge pack or as a defensive measure if I start to get overwhelmed and need time for the potion to heal me up. I didn’t research the build. I just tweaked it as I got gear. With the bonus damage from the paragon boards I chose I’m doing pretty well so far. We’ll see if I hit a brick wall with it. I’ve seen how crazy Ice Shards can be but I like my build. Hopefully it lasts.
Retribution is multiplicative. Damage to stunned is in additive bucket but offensive aspects are an exception, they’re usually (if not all) multiplicative.
I love when noobs come in and try to virtue signal and tell everyone theyre playing the game wrong
Correct. I did not believe this before but I validated this a couple days ago that these are definitely multiplicative and the char sheet details are flat out wrong.
Which isn’t a qualifying factor for theory crafting. Thanks for playing.
validated? it’s not like it’s a secret.
the game literally tells you with [x] or [+]. You make it sound like rocket science. But it’s more like 5th grade math.
True genius of theory crafting right here
To be fair, it seems way harder to test for each stat/affix/aspect/paragon nodes and boards combinations due to the lack of information given in the game itself.
For me, I don’t need to be running T100 NMDs to be having fun in the game.
I’d much rather experiment outside of a build guide and find out other things I may like when playing even if it isn’t the most optimal.
You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about at all.
Most of these passives and aspects reflect in the char sheet, completely incorrectly.
Unbridled Rage will multiply your dmg to core skills by 135% in the char sheet, but it doesn’t actually do this at all. It’s a sheet error and is just a straight up global modifier.
Same with any passive that is +dmg to distant or close enemies. So do all of these other aspects that have an X.
So people have put out videos stating that these work that way, but they don’t. They are simply global modifiers with those conditionals.
